The present invention relates to an apparatus for the nanopulation of an invalid or infirm person. It relates to an apparatus which can be used to lower a patient to the place where he is, then to transport and deposit him in another place, for example to lift a patient from his bed and place him, in a seated position, in A wheelchair.
The apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a lifting arm, the end part of which is articulated on the main part thereof, around a horizontal axis, arranged laterally and can occupy two positions, the one in which it is used to carry a patient support organ, composed of straps, and the other in which the arm is used to carry a rigid patient support organ.
Preferably, in one of the working positions mentioned above, the free part of the arm extends almost horizontally, and in the same direction, the remaining fixed portion of the arm; The free end can then include a bracket with two suspension arms projecting on either side of the arm, and having attachment points, distant from each other, for attachment and release. attachment of a seat with straps supporting the patient. When used to hang a seat with straps, its ends point, preferably, towards the front of the frame and towards the bottom.
Preferably, the suspension bracket is arranged so that, when the end portion of the arm is brought into its second working position, it can be turned upside down, its ends then pointing in a direction where they do not interfere with the work of the arm. user of the machine.
In its second working position, the free part of the arm is preferably directed downward, slightly forward with respect to the main part of the latter, thus providing a high attachment point for the rigid support member, and a low point of contact for fixing the position of this support member. The movement of the arm from one position to another can be done by means of a joint.
Preferably, the end portion of the arm can be tilted, from one working position to another, around a lateral and horizontal axis that the fixed part of the arm has; in fact, the same result could be obtained thanks to an articulation whose axis would be located in a vertical plane and inclined downwards with respect to the main part of the arm. In each of these cases, means will be provided for locking the moving parts in the chosen position; ; however, other modes of displacement of the free part of the arm, relative to its fixed part, can be envisaged.
Thus, the free part could be detachable, so that it can be separated from the fixed part, then raised after rotation, in the other working position.
Preferably. the apparatus comprises means for lifting the logo arm within a column along which the arm can be raised or lowered, although use may also be made of a pivoted arm device. In the latter case, a parallelogram construction is preferably employed, so that the orientation of the rigid support member is not changed when the patient is raised or lowered.
The drawing shows, by way of example, a form of execution of the apparatus, particularly designed for hospitals.
Fig. I represents a perspective view of the apparatus supporting a patient by means of a seat with straps; the device therefore operates there in one of its working positions.
Fig. 2 shows, in perspective, one of the upper parts of the device, the movable part of the arm occupying its second working position, and shows a patient seated on a rigid support in the form of a chair without legs.
Fig. 3 is a fragmentary side view of a detail, on an enlarged scale, illustrating part of the lifting arm of the apparatus under the working conditions of FIG. 2, and fig. 4 is a fragmentary section taken on the line IV-IV of FIG. 3.
The apparatus shown comprises a tubular frame with rollers 11, the front part of which is freely accessible between the parallel side members 12 which are connected at right angles, by the spacer 13, to the rear part of the frame. A lifting column 14 rises in the center of the strut 13, preferably in a vertical position, although it can also be tilted in a plane parallel to the direction of the frame. Column 14 comprises a chain and roller elevator or cylinder by means of which a rigid arm 15, in the form of a jib crane, protruding from the column can be raised or lowered.
The screw jack can be controlled by a winding lever 16 fixed to the rear of the column at an appropriate height. This lever has two handles that allow it to be grasped like a handlebar, so as to direct and move the device.
The arm 15 is divided into two portions: a main portion 15a in relief from the column 14 and projecting from the latter, and a free part 15b attached to the main part 15a, so as to pivot about a horizontal and lateral axis 17 between two working positions. In one of these working positions, shown in fig. I and in dotted lines in FIG. 3, the end part 15b extends ho rizontalernent, extending the main part 15a. In the other working position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, it points down and slightly forward of the hinge pin 17.
A stop device, comprising a latch 18 actuated by a spring (see fig. 3), blocks the terminal portion in one or the other of the working positions and, when it is desired to change the position of the arm, the stop device can be released manually by actuating a pair of release members 19, in the form of buttons, arranged on the sides of the arm 15.
As has been shown more particularly in FIGS. 3 and 4, the protruding part of the arm portion 15a is constructed in the manner of a sandwich and comprises a central panie 20, the thickness of which is less than that of the rest of the arm, covered with the counter-plates 22. One of these backing plates 22 has been omitted in FIG. 3 so as to show the interior details of the stop mechanism. The latch 18, projecting out of a guide groove 23, located at the end part of the part 20, is forced and held in its locked position by the latch spring 24.
The backing plates 22 extend beyond the end of part 20, on each of its sides, and overlap the adjacent end parts of the portion of br s 15b; a pivot 25 is formed by a pivot pin 17 passing through the backing plates 22.
The end part of the arm 15b is rounded and has notches 26 in which the latch 18 can engage so as to block the portion of the arm 15b in one or the other of its working positions. The buttons 19 are mounted eccentrically on each end of an axis 27, passing through the arm at right angles, a section of this axis being shown in FIG. 3, which is mounted in the bearings 28 and in the counterplates 22.
The diameter of the central part 27a of the pin 27 is greater than that of its ends, this arrangement allowing the pin 27 to be retained by the plates 2, the part 27a pivoting in a recessed section 31 of part 20 of the arm. The recessed section 31 is extended by a guide groove 23 and a plug 29, projecting radially from the central part of the axis 27a, engages in a slot 30 which the upper edge of the latch 18 presents.
Thus, a rotation of one or the other of the buttons 19 in a direction counterclockwise to that of the needles of a clock, as shown in FIG. 3. leads to the retraction of the latch 18 so as to make the portion of the arm 15b free for its displacement in the other of its working positions.
A stop pin 32 is mounted between the backing plates 22 and cooperates with a circular groove 33 which the arm portion 15b presents. By abutting against the ends of the groove 33. the stop pin 32 limits the movements of the portion of the arm.
15b.
The front part of the arm portion 15b. since this portion is in one of its working positions, has a rigid vertical bearing 34 which supports a suspension bracket 35. The ends of this bracket 35 are curved so as when it is in the working position, as shown in FIG. 1., in which it extends laterally on either side of the arm 15, its ends point forward and downward with respect to the direction of the arm. The ends of the suspension bracket 35 are provided with hooks or rings 36 constituting attachment points to which can be connected, in a removable manner, the corresponding ends of a seat consisting of the buttock strap 37 and the dorsal strap 38 by short chains 39.
These straps 37 and 38 are formed by simple bands and allow the patient to be seated directly on the buttock strap 38, facing the column 14, as indicated in FIG. 1, its back being retained by the dorsal strap 38.
When using a rigid support, for example in the form of a legless chair 40 (see fig. 2), for handling frail elderly people, or when leg support is required, the straps 37 and 38 are released and the bracket 35 is returned to a position in which it rests against the portion 15b of the arm, as shown in FIG. 2. The latch stop device 18 is released and the portion of the arm 15b is tilted into the other of its working positions, shown in Figs. 2 and 3, in which a hook-shaped notch 42, formed on its internal face, opens vertically and is located approximately at the same level as the articulated axis 17.
A tubular frame 43, constituting the rear part of the support member in the form of a chair, is hooked to the notch 42, the support chair 40 being secured in position by means of a dog device, which can be released manually. , and snapping under its own weight. The lower part of the portion of the arm 15b extending obliquely downwards constitutes a rigid fulcrum for the lower posterior portion of the chair-shaped support 40.
A patient leaning against this portion is represented in fig. 2.
Thus, the support chair 40 is fixed directly in a rigid manner, its part 45 forming the seat, cantilevered, against the lifting arm 15.
As shown in FIG. 3, the dog device 44 is housed in an empty part 46 of the part 15b of the arm. A stop pin 47 passing through this empty part limits the movements of the hammer 44 in the direction in which the release takes place.
