Method for washing web-shaped textile materials in full width The present invention relates to a method for washing web-shaped textile materials in full width according to claim of main patent no. 446 247.
The claim of the main patent relates to a method for washing web-shaped textile materials in full width while guiding the same in opposite directions to the washing liquor, which is characterized in that the laundry is alternately provided with a film of this washing liquor on one of its two surfaces by this washing liquor is always carried up on the surface of the laundry fed to a guide roller, and wherein the laundry is passed on to another guide roller and the film of the washing liquor is entrained and underneath as a result of friction in the wedge-shaped cavity formed by the guide roller surface and the surface of the laundry facing it additional effect of centrifugal force is pushed through the laundry.
It is known that for washing textile webs in full width vertically arranged washing stages can be used, which form a washing column. The textile web runs through this column from bottom to top, and in each stage it is exposed to the action of the washing liquor, which penetrates it in full width and by weight through the column from the higher stage of the one to the lower stage of the second system flows down. The penetration of the wash liquor through the textile web is achieved according to Swiss patent specification No. 446 247 because the wash liquor is applied to the inside of the web facing the deflection roller over which the web is guided in the wide state .
The wash liquor is carried away by the running web and transported into the wedge-shaped space between the roller and the web; the resulting compressive pressure forces it through the textile web and then sprays from the outside of the web under the effect of gravity and centrifugal force. A repeated countercurrent use of the liquor is achieved according to the cited patent because the full width of the splashing liquor is caught by the collecting elements arranged along each deflecting roller on both sides of the washing column and that each collecting element transfers the liquor from a higher deflecting roller of one to the lower Deflection roller of the second deflection roller system transferred until the liquor passes from the highest to the lowest washing stage.
The size of the radial flow of the wash liquor through the permeable textile web, which takes place at the point where this textile web begins to touch the surface of the deflection roller, depends on a number of variables, of which z. B. the linear web speed, the viscosity of the washing liquor, the amount of the same that is applied to the inside of the web, and especially the flow resistance of the textile web are to be mentioned.
The problems that have arisen in this way are known from the prior art, for example, from Belgian patent specification No. 474 411, Swiss patent specification No. 378 835 or 457 341, German patent specification No. 963 053 or British patent specification No. 956 184 solved that the material web is subjected to a squeezing on the known devices, wherein the liquor is almost completely squeezed out of the web. The action of the wash liquor in the meantime, while the material web is running to the other wash liquor, is made impossible by this.
With the increasing flow resistance of the web and with the increasing viscosity of the washing liquor, the amount of liquor pressed through the web in each stage decreases. The increase in the linear web speed and a larger filling of the wedge-shaped space between the web and the guide roller with the washing liquor works in the opposite direction. By varying the parameters mentioned, you can influence the amount of liquor that emerges on the outside of the permeable web of material guided over the deflection roller. In any case, this amount does not splash or flow off completely from the outside of the web, because a certain part adheres to the outside of the web by adhesion and is carried away to the higher washing stage.
The flow structure of the liquor on the outside of the material web is primarily determined by the relationship between gravity and the centrifugal force generated by turning the deflection roller and by the viscosity and surface tension of the liquor and the nature of the web surface.
All of the specified parameters therefore influence the behavior of the liquor on the outside of the web, which is expressed in the extent to which the liquor that is pressed through is sprayed or drained and the means by which the spraying or draining liquor can be caught and fed to the selected point.
With a sufficient amount of liquor on the outside of the web and at the same time with a small centrifugal force, the liquor flows freely from the underside of the deflection roller. By increasing the linear web speed with small values of the centrifugal force component, the start of the spraying occurs in the direction of the web movement, which causes the liquor film to spread over a larger outer surface of the web and reduces the liquor film density, which blurs the boundaries of this film on the Railway has the consequence. The reduction in the amount of liquor on the outside of the web also causes a shift of the spray point in the direction of web movement and a successive reduction in the density of the liquor film.
With a certain minimum amount of liquor on the outside of the web, the liquor will no longer be sprayed off, because the thin liquor film adheres to the web by adhesion and runs with the web to the higher washing stage. The increase in the linear speed of the train and the decrease in the amount of liquor on the outside of the rail therefore worsen or even prevent reuse of the liquor in the following stages. In contrast, an increase in the centrifugal force component and an increase in the amount of liquor on the outside of the web, which cause an increase in the density of the spraying liquor film and its displacement in the opposite direction of the Bahnbe movement, have a positive effect. The influence of the viscosity and the surface tension of the liquor have an analogous effect.
These established facts turn out to be disadvantages and, above all, complicate the construction of a universal machine. At the same time, the behavior of the liquor on the outside of the web also influences the extent to which one can achieve perfect step contact in the treatment column, both when using the countercurrent principle and when it is not used.
The main purpose of the invention is to find a method that remedies this under different behavior of the spraying washing liquor, which at the same time makes it possible to make the amount of liquor that can be collected independently of the parameters influencing the spraying. Furthermore, the treatment liquor must always be separated from the outside of the material web at the selected point of the material web despite the action of different influences and it must also be ensured that the amount of liquor collected in each stage is approximately the same as the amount of liquor pressed through the material web and made possible to keep the discharge of the liquor constant even under different conditions.
This is achieved according to the invention in a method for washing permeable web-shaped textile materials, in the broad state according to the patent claim of the main patent, in that, as a result of adhesion on the surface of the wash items facing away from the guide roller surface, the wash liquor previously pressed through this is removed as long as the wash items still rests on this guide roller.
Regardless of the different permeability of the material web, the applied flow rate of the same through the washing column and the other influencing facts, such as e.g. the viscosity of the wash liquor, an adjustable, uniform separation of the liquor in the selected point of the material web running over the deflection roller can be achieved in this way.
The washing liquor pressed through the material web to the outside is to be eliminated at a certain point and in the required amount, but not squeezing the material web, so that processes in which the squeezing takes place are not included here. In the present case, the washing liquor remaining in the pores of the textile web is not eliminated in the same stage by squeezing it off, but rather is displaced by new liquor in the next stage.
Compared to the known solution according to Swiss patent specification No. 446 247, the process allows the zone in which the washing liquor that has penetrated the web is sprayed in each washing stage to be delimited so precisely that it is now dependent on the linear web speed, the rotational speed of the Deflection roller, the flow resistance of the permeable material web, the surface properties of the same and the amount, viscosity and surface tension of the wash liquor is completely independent. This delimitation enables the washing liquor flowing off in each stage to be collected and transferred to the next stage or discharged to the outside if it is to be withdrawn from the washing process, to a large extent of the parameters mentioned.
A separation is also possible under conditions under which the fleet does not separate itself from the web. Under conditions under which the liquor separates out by itself, the method described makes it possible to achieve a more favorable liquor flow ratio. It makes it easy to achieve a liquor flow ratio of 1: 1 from a liquor ratio of 1: 1.5, which is important for high liquor savings and for treating textile webs with a high flow resistance.
Compared to the known technology, a definable catch on the wash liquor flowing off in each stage is possible using a simpler and dual purpose collecting organ. Due to the inevitable separation of the pressed washing liquor, it flows down the shortest path, which makes it much easier to collect and feed it to the selected location.
Another advantage lies in the fact that by stripping you can work with significantly smaller quantities of liquor without having to fear that it will not be separated at all. Such a case was neither with the deliberate reduction of the liquor to be applied to the web, nor with the treatment of webs that had a water flow resistance that corresponds to the flow of 10 l / m2 sec at 17 C and an excess pressure of 10 cm water column, and have more, found. In general, this means that there is the possibility of further reducing the specific liquor consumption and that even less permeable web-like textile materials can be treated on the device mentioned.
A proportional increase in the washing effect is achieved in that the material web is repeatedly subjected to the effect of the cycle - of pressing the washing liquor through and separating it - with the liquor being pressed through once from the front and another time from the back of the textile web.
The liquor passing through the train is quantitatively collected and fed to the next stage using the countercurrent principle. This realizes the principle of step contact using countercurrent due to the heavy weight in the entire vertically oriented scrubbing column.
For further information, the terms liquor ratio and liquor flow ratio are initially specified.
In the following, the liquor ratio is understood to be the relation of the quantity of goods W (kg) to the washing liquor F (l), i.e. W: F, where W is the dry weight of the material web to be treated in a section from the beginning of the contact zone on the side facing the respective deflection roller the wash liquor to be applied to the web of material in a wash stage up to the analogous beginning in the next higher washing stage and F denotes the total amount of the wash liquor acting in the section mentioned, consisting of the amount of the liquor to be applied in the relevant stage, which is denoted by M1, and from the amount of washing liquor not separated in the preceding washing stage and carried along with the material web in said section, which is denoted by M2.
Next, the amount of wash liquor to be applied is denoted by M3, which is pressed through onto the side of the material web facing away from the deflection roller in the section mentioned; then the ratio M3: M2 represents the liquor flow ratio. It practically indicates the extent to which the washing liquor carried along by the material web is converted in the respective washing stage. A liquor flow ratio equal to or greater than 1: 1 represents a complete replacement of the (old) fleet carried by the (new) fleet that is pressed.
The method described enables a liquor flow ratio of 1: 1 to be easily achieved from a liquor ratio of 1: 1.5, which is important for high liquor savings and for treating material webs of high flow resistance. If you work with a very low liquor flow ratio and at the same time with a very low liquor ratio, z. B., as stated above, 1: 1 and 1: 1.5, the equilibrium between tween the dissolved or dispersed in the liquor and the substances bound to the material to be treated is reached relatively quickly.
When washing out substances that have an increased affinity for the fibers, or if there is a risk of the dissolved or dispersed substance being redeposited onto the fiber, it is advantageous to press the one through the web onto the side facing away from the deflection roller and as well to eliminate the liquor that is inevitably separated from it from the further washing process. In this way, a step contact is realized without using countercurrent.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are to be illustrated with reference to the drawing. They show: FIG. 1 five successive treatment stages or zones provided with roller-like wiping elements, and FIG. 2 a treatment stage or zone provided with a doctor-like wiping element.
Fig. 1 shows the upper part of a treatment column, formed by a support frame 1 on which an electric motor 2 is arranged, which forms part of Ward-Leonard's gear, not shown in the figure. From a drive sprocket 3, the movement is transmitted by means of a chain to another drive wheel 4 and from there by means of switched gears 5 that engage the gears 6, transferred to the guide rollers 7, which bil with the gears 6 the whole. The guide rollers 8 of the right vertical Sy stems are driven by the textile web T, which runs through the column alternately in a zigzag from bottom to top. Against the deflection rollers 7 and 8, the stripping rollers 10 are pressed by means of a hydraulic, pneumatic or other pressure element 9, which by friction or
Contact with the guide rollers 7, 8 by means of textile web T are driven along. The top pair of the deflection roller 7 and the stripping roller 10 can serve as an output squeegee chair. The liquor is applied from the transversely arranged and only schematically shown spray tubes 11 and 12, which are provided with a device not shown in or figure for adjusting the liquor flow. Underneath each pair of deflection roller 7 or 8 and the stripping roller 10 along its entire width, a plan collecting element 13 is disordered, which can be swiveled out in pin 14 in two limit positions, with the one drawn with a solid line from outside the column inward, in the other, which is drawn in dashed lines, is inclined outward from the inside of the column.
The change in the position of the catching organs is actuated by adjusting the height of the control rods 15, which go through the guide sleeves 16. The control rods 15 carry the bushes 17 through which the bolts 18 pass, which are slidably mounted there and form part of the catching members 13 on.
If the collecting organs 13 are inclined from the outside or the column is inclined inwards, only the spray tube 11 is active, and all the washing stages of the column below are charged with the liquor, which is pressed through the textile web and fed into the washing process again by means of the collecting element 13 . In the opposite direction, the spray tubes 11 and 12 are again active. In FIG. 2, an elastic squeegee 19 is shown as a stripping member, which is fastened in the slot 20 over the entire length of the lever 21 with screws 22.
The lever 21, shown partially in section, is rotatable about the shaft 23, which is firmly connected to the support frame 1 of the machine via the arm 24. The squeegee 19, which is pressed against the textile web T and the deflecting roller by the weight of the lever 21, is made of an elastic film which is so pliable that the squeegee is evenly over the entire length of the deflecting roller 7 to the outside of the textile web T. is present, from which it removes the adhering film of the treatment liquor pressed through it. The liquor, directed by the projection 25 of the lever 21, flows onto the collecting element 13.
