Halogen in each case preferably denotes chlorine or bromine. The radicals R1 to R7 are, if —Rs and R4 do not represent a hydrogen atom or an acyl radical, optionally substituted alkyl radicals with, for example, 1 to 6 and preferably 1 to 4
Carbon atoms, such as optionally substituted methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl radicals, cycloalkyl radicals, such as cyclohexyl radicals.
If these radicals are substituted, they contain, in particular, a hydroxyl or cyano group or a
Halogen atom. The alkyl radicals can also by a

Piperazine, morpholine, aziridine or piperidine ring.
The radical R1 together with Rs and / or the radical together with R4 and the N atoms adjacent to these substituents can be a saturated or unsaturated one. advantageously form 5- or 6-membered heterocycle. for example a pyrazolidine, pyridazine or pyrazoline ring, e.g. Trimethylene pyrazolidine or tetramethylene pyrazolidine, etc.
Acyl radicals Rp or R4 are preferably those of
Formula Rlo-SO- or R11-CO-, in which Rlo is an aromatic or a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical and R11 is hydrogen or R10. Both acyl radicals can together form a ring with the neighboring N.
Rs and R4 can e.g. B. formyl, acetyl, propionyl, butyroyl, acryloyl, cyanoacetyl, benzoyl, methylsulfonyl or optionally substituted phenylsulfonyl.

The alkyl radical R can be substituted and contain 1 to 12 or 1 to 8, but preferably 1 to 4 carbon atoms. It can be interrupted by heteroatoms; if it is substituted, it advantageously contains the hydroxyl or cyano groups or a halogen atom.
The hydrocarbon radical Rs can be an optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, such as phenyl or naphthyl, or a cycloalkyl radical.
The alkylene radical can be straight-chain or branched and contain 1 to 12 or 1 to 6, but advantageously 2 carbon atoms. If it is substituted, it advantageously carries the hydroxyl group.
The compounds of the formula (I) are preferably free from water-solubilizing groups, in particular from anionic groups; they advantageously do not contain a sulfonic acid group.
Anion AC- is to be understood as meaning both organic and inorganic ions, e.g. Halogen, such as chloride, bromide or iodide, methyl sulfate, sulfate, disulfate, perchlorate, phosphate, phosphotungstate, phosphotungstamolybdate, benzenesulfonate, naphthalenesulfonate, 4-chlorobenzenesulfonate, oxalate, maleic acid , Acetate, propionate, methanesulfonate, chloroacetate or benzoate ions or complex anions, such as. Preferred acid radicals A are those of the hydrohalic acids; A mostly stands for Cl or Br. Further acid residues A are, for example, those of sulfuric acid, a sulfonic acid or hydrogen sulfide.
The coupling can be carried out by customary methods.
The reaction of a compound of the formula (VI) with a compound of the formula (VII) or (VIII) is preferably carried out in an organic solvent and at temperatures from -50 to +250 ° C., advantageously at 100 to +120 ° C. You can use the The reaction can also be carried out in an aqueous medium, optionally with the addition of an organic solvent, or else entirely without a solvent at the temperatures mentioned.
The reaction of a compound of the formula (IX) with a quaternizing agent to a compound of the formula (X) is preferably carried out in an inert solvent or optionally in aqueous suspension or without solvent in an excess of the quaternizing agent at elevated temperatures and in optionally buffered medium. Quaternizing agents are, for example, alkyl halides, e.g. B. methyl or ethyl chloride, bromide or iodide, alkyl sulfates such as dimethyl sulfate, acrylic acid amides / hydrohalides, z. B. CH. = CH CH- CONHS / HCl, epoxies such as propylene oxide, epichlorohydrin or ethylene oxide, etc.
The new dyes are used for dyeing or printing fibers, threads or textiles made therefrom, which consist of acrylonitrile polymers or acrylonitrile copolymers or contain such.
They are also used to color plastic masses or leather or to color paper.
It is particularly advantageous to dye in an aqueous, neutral or acidic medium at temperatures of 60-100 ° C. or at temperatures above 100 ° C. under pressure. Very level colorations are obtained here even without the use of retarders. Mixed fabrics which contain a proportion of polyacrylonitrile fibers can also be dyed very well. Those dyes which have good solubility in organic solvents are also suitable for coloring natural plastic compositions or dissolved or undissolved plastic, synthetic resin or natural resin compositions.
Some of the new dyes can be used, for example, to dye tannin cotton, regenerated cellulose, synthetic polyamides, leather and paper. It has been shown that mixtures of two or more of the new dyes can also advantageously be used. The dyeings obtained have good light fastness and good wet fastness properties.

described, in which D1 denotes the remainder of any diazo component used, for example, for dyeing polyacrylonitrile. It is surprising that the dyes of the formula (1). also colored on polyacrylonitrile, have a much better resistance to boiling.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example I.
17.3 parts of 1-amino-2-chloro-4-nitrobenzene are diazotized in the customary manner in aqueous hydrochloric acid using sodium nitrite. The solution obtained is added to a solution of 37 parts of the compound of the formula
EMI4.2
produced by reacting m-bis (chloroethyl) aminobenzoylanilide with 1,1-dimethylhydrazine in 100 parts of glacial acetic acid and 100 parts of water. After adding sodium acetate solution, the dye is isolated by means of filtration. It dyes a real bluish red on polyacrylonitrile fibers.
Example 2
5 parts of the compound of formula
EMI5.1

EMI5.2
are finely pulverized and mixed with 200 parts of chlorobenzene. At 600, 2 parts of dimethyl sulfate are added dropwise and the mixture is stirred overnight. After cooling, the dye obtained is filtered off and washed with benzene. It colors a real greenish blue on polyacrylonitrile.
Example 3
10 parts of the compound of formula
EMI5.3
are finely pulverized and mixed in 60 parts of pyridine. The mixture is heated to 60 "overnight. After cooling, the dye of the formula
EMI5.4
filtered off and purified by washing with benzene. It dyes a real navy blue on polyacrylonitrile fibers.
Dyeing process
1 part of the dye of Example 1 is 1 part
40% acetic acid is made into a paste, 400 parts of 60 parts of distilled water are poured over the pulp, shaking constantly, and the mixture is briefly boiled. It is diluted with 7600 parts of distilled water, 2 parts of glacial acetic acid are added and, at 60, 100 parts of textile material made of polyacrylonitrile are added to the dyebath. The material was previously treated at 600 in a bath of 8,000 parts of water and 2 parts of glacial acetic acid for 10 to 15 minutes.
It is then heated to 1000 within 30 minutes, boiled for 1 hour and rinsed. A level blue-tinged red dyeing of excellent lightfastness and very good wet fastness properties is obtained.
