<tb> in which
X denotes a chlorine or bromine atom, Rt denotes a benzylcarbonyl or phenoxyacetyl group which may carry substituents which do not render water soluble.
Substituents which do not make water-soluble are to be understood as meaning all substituents customary in dyes, with the exception of carboxylic acid and sulfonic acid groups.
In the preferred dyes, the phenyl radicals of the substituent Rt are unsubstituted or substituted by halogen atoms, in particular fluorine, chlorine or bromine atoms, alkyl, alkoxy or nitro groups.
All alkyl, alkoxy and alkylene radicals of the new dyes preferably contain 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms.
The dyes are produced by diazotizing an amine of the formula

The coupling generally takes place in an acidic, optionally buffered, medium with cooling.
Sodium acetate is particularly suitable as a buffer substance.
The processing of the dyes of the formula (I) to dye preparations is carried out in a generally known manner, for. B. by grinding in the presence of dispersants and / or fillers. The preparations, optionally dried in vacuo or by atomization, can, after the addition of more or less water, be used for dyeing, padding or printing in what is known as a long or short liquor.
The dyes are extremely well absorbed from aqueous suspension on textile material made of fully synthetic or semi-synthetic, hydrophobic, high molecular weight organic substances. They are particularly suitable for dyeing or printing textile material made of linear, aromatic polyesters, and of cellulose 21/2 acetate, cellulose triacetate and synthetic polyamides.
One dyes or prints according to known, z. B. the method described in French Patent No. 1,445,371.
The dyeings of red shades obtained have very good all-round fastness properties; the fastness to light, gas, fume, ozone and seawater fastness, fastness to washing, fastness to heat setting and pleating, fastness to alkali, perspiration, sublimation and rubbing, and the resistance to reduction, are to be emphasized Resistance at 1800 C, wool reserve, the etchability and the coration and soil release authenticity.
The parts mentioned in the following examples are parts by weight and the percentages are percentages by weight.

Coloring examples
A) 7 parts of the dye prepared according to Example 1 are ground with 4 parts of sodium dinaphthylmethanesulfonate, 4 parts of sodium cetyl sulfate and 5 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate in a ball mill for 48 hours to give a fine powder.
1 part of the dye preparation obtained in this way is made into a paste with a little water and the suspension obtained is added through a sieve to a dyebath obtained from 2 parts of sodium lauryl sulfate in 4000 parts of water.
The liquor ratio is 1:40. 100 parts of purified polyester fiber material are then added to the bath at 40-500, 20 parts of a chlorinated benzene emulsified in water are added, the bath is slowly heated to 100 "and dyed for 1-2 hours at 95-100. The red-dyed fibers are washed , soaped, washed again and dried. The level dyeing is excellent lightfast, overdyeing, washing, water, sea water, sweat, sublimation, smoke gas, thermosetting, pleating and permanent pressfast.
B) 30 parts of the dye prepared according to Example 2, 40 parts of sodium dinaphthylmethanedisulfonic acid, 50 parts of sodium cetyl sulfate and 50 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate are ground to a fine powder in a ball mill.
100 parts of purified polyester fiber material are added to 4 parts of the dye preparation obtained in 1000 parts of 40-500 warm water and the mixture is slowly heated.
About 60 minutes are dyed under pressure at 1300 and, after rinsing, soaking, rinsing and drying, a red dyeing is obtained with the same fastness properties as the dyeing of Example A.
C) 20 parts of the dye prepared according to Example 1, 55 parts of sulfite cellulose liquor powder and 800 parts of water are ground in a ball mill until the size of the dye particles is below 1.
The resulting colloidal solution is mixed with 25 parts of ethylene diglycol monobutyl ether and 400 parts of 6 0 / above carboxymethyl cellulose. This printing paste is very suitable for Vigoureux printing on polyester sliver. The pressure is carried out with the aid of two rollers (coverage 78%), whereupon steaming is carried out at 1200 without intermediate drying. Red prints with good fastness properties are obtained.
D) An aqueous, finely disperse suspension of 30 parts of the dye obtained according to the information in Example 2, 70 parts of sodium dinaphthylmethanedisulphonic acid and 3 parts of sodium alginate are made up to 1000 parts with water and mixed well. A polyester fabric is padded with the resulting padding liquor at 20, dried with air from 60-1000 and then treated with hot, dry air for 230, 60 seconds. Then the fabric is rinsed, soaped, rinsed again and dried. A level and genuine red color is obtained.
