Anwendungsbeispiel A
It has been found that azo compounds of the formula
EMI1.1
Excellent as disperse dyes, for dyeing fibers or threads or materials made from them made from fully or semi-synthetic, hydrophobic, high molecular weight organic substances.
In the formula (I): R1 denotes cyano, nitro, alkylsulfonyl or optionally others
Phenylsulfonyl bearing substituents, R2 chlorine, bromine or cyano, R3 hydrogen or alkoxy, R4 cyanoalkyl or, in the alkoxy radical, optionally others
Alkoxycarbonylalkyl bearing substituents, Rs alkylene having 2 or 3 carbon atoms and R6 optionally substituent-bearing alkyl, carboxylic acid and sulfonic acid groups being excluded as substituents.
The phenyl nucleus of the phenylsulfonyl group can be used as substituents, for. B. carry alkyl, especially methyl, alkoxy, nitro, cyano or hydroxy.
All alkyl and alkoxy groups preferably contain 1, 2, 3 or 4 carbon atoms and can optionally be used as substituents e.g. B. carry chlorine, bromine, hydroxy, alkoxy or cyano.
Preferred compounds of the formula (I) are those in which R1 is cyano, nitro, alkylsulfonyl with 1-4 carbon atoms or phenylsulfonyl, in which the phenyl nucleus can be substituted by alkyl or alkoxy with 14 carbon atoms, nitro, cyano or hydroxy, R2 is chlorine, bromine or cyano , R3 is hydrogen or alkoxy with 1-4 carbon atoms, R4 is cyanoalkyl or optionally by alkoxy, hydroxy,

clutch.
The diazotization and coupling are carried out according to general methods, some of which are known for over 100 years.
In general, the coupling is carried out in an acidic, optionally buffered medium, e.g. B. in the pH range below 5, and with cooling, z. B. at temperatures below 200 C, preferably between -50 and +50 C, carried out. As buffer substances are preferably alkali metal salts of low molecular weight alkanoic acids, eg. B. acetic acid or propionic acid, especially sodium acetate, into consideration.
The processing of the new compounds of the formula (I) to dye preparations is carried out in a generally known manner, for. B. by grinding in the presence of dispersants and / or fillers. The preparations, optionally dried in vacuo or by atomization, can, after the addition of more or less water, be used for dyeing, padding or printing in what is known as a long or short liquor.
The dyes are extremely well absorbed from aqueous suspension on textile material made of fully synthetic or semi-synthetic, hydrophobic, high molecular weight organic substances. They are particularly suitable for dyeing or printing textile material made of linear, aromatic polyesters, as well as cellulose-2V2-acetate, cellulose triacetate and synthetic polyamides.
One dyes or prints according to known, z. B.
the method described in French patent specification No. 1,445,371.
The dyeings obtained have good all-round fastness properties; The light fastness, the heat-setting, sublimation and pleating fastness are to be emphasized. They are excellent wetfast, e.g. B. water, sea water, washing and sweat-proof, solvent-proof, especially dry-cleaning-proof, lubricant, rubbing, over-dyeing, ozone, smoke gas and chlorine law; they are extremely resistant to the effects of the various permanent pressing processes and the so-called soil release equipment. Etchability, resistance to reduction (when dyeing with wool) and the reserve of wool and cotton are good.
In the following examples, the parts are parts by weight and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
example 1
6.9 parts of sodium nitrite are slowly added to 140 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid at 60 to 700 with vigorous stirring. The mixture is stirred for a further 10 minutes at 600, then cooled to 5-100 and 26.2 parts of 2,4-dinitro-6bromaniline are added. The diazotization is complete after 3 hours.
The diazonium salt solution thus obtained is poured, with stirring, into a mixture of 35.4 parts of the compound of the formula

200 parts of glacial acetic acid, 2 parts of aminosulfonic acid and 200 parts of ice. A pH of 2-3 is set by adding 30% sodium acetate solution, during which the dye precipitates. It is filtered off with suction, washed free of acid and salt with water and dried. The dyestuff obtained in this way dyes polyester fibers in blue shades with strong colors and good fastness properties.
Example 2
26.2 parts of 2,4-dinitro-6-bromoaniline are diazotized as described in Example 1. The resulting diazonium salt solution is poured, with stirring, into a mixture of 32.1 parts of the compound of the formula
EMI2.1
200 parts of glacial acetic acid, 2 parts of aminosulfonic acid and 200 parts of ice. The coupling is completed in acidic medium by blunting with sodium acetate to pH 2.0-2.5. The dye forms very quickly and precipitates. It is filtered off, washed free of acid and salt with water and dried. The dye thus obtained dyes synthetic fibers in blue shades with excellent fastness properties.
The dyes in Tables 1-5 below are prepared analogously to the procedure of Example 1 and 2, respectively.

Application example A
7 parts of the dye prepared according to Example 1 are mixed with 4 parts
sodium dinaphthylmethanedisulfonic acid, 4 parts of sodium cetyl sulfate and 5 parts of anhydrous sodium sulfate were ground to a fine powder in a ball mill for 48 hours.
1 part of the dye preparation obtained in this way is made into a paste with a little water and the suspension obtained is added through a sieve to a dyebath containing 2 parts of sodium lauryl sulfate in 4000 parts of water. The liquor ratio is 1:40. 100 parts of cleaned polyester fabric at 40-50 are then added to the bath, 20 parts of a chlorinated benzene emulsified in water are added, the bath is slowly heated to 1000 and dyed for 1-2 hours at 95-1000. The brilliant blue colored fabric is washed, soaped, washed again and dried. The level, strong coloring is extremely light, over-dyeing, wash, water, sea water, sweat, sublimation, smoke gas, heat-setting, pleating and permanent press-fast.
Application example B
30 parts of the dye prepared according to Example 1, 40 parts of sodium dinaphthylmethanedisulphonic acid, 50 parts of sodium cetyl sulphate and 50 parts of anhydrous sodium sulphate are ground to a fine powder in a ball mill.
100 parts of purified polyester fiber material are added to 4 parts of the resulting dyeing preparation in 1000 parts of 40-50 warm water and the mixture is slowly heated. It is dyed for about 60 minutes under pressure at 1300 and, after rinsing, soaping, rinsing and drying, a brilliant blue dyeing is obtained with the same fastness properties as the dyeing of Example A.
Application example C
20 parts of the dye prepared according to Example 1, 55 parts of sulfite cellulose liquor powder and 800 parts of water are ground in a ball mill until the size of the dye particles is below 1 c.
The colloidal solution obtained is mixed with 25 parts of diethylene glycol monobutyl ether and 400 parts of 6% strength carboxymethyl cellulose. This printing paste is very suitable for Vigoureux printing on polyester sliver. The pressure is carried out with the aid of two rollers (coverage 78%), whereupon steaming is carried out at 1200 without intermediate drying. Blue prints with good fastness properties are obtained.
