Boat launching trolley Boat launching trolleys generally comprise a support, carried by at least one axle, and a drawbar integral with this support. In these trolleys, the front of the boats is always oriented towards the side of the handle of the trolley, therefore on the side where the operator is located. Thus, the rear of the boat first enters the water when launching. It is more practical to hoist the sails when the boat is ashore, but it is difficult to launch with the sails raised when the wind is blowing from the open sea towards the land, because it exerts a pressure of tail wind. When the wind is very strong, this operation becomes impossible.
The object of the invention is to enable a boat to be launched either from the front or from the rear, which allows launching with the sails hoisted, even when a strong wind blows from the sea. wide towards the coast. To this end, the carriage according to the invention is characterized in that the drawbar is connected to the support by a device which allows at least two different fixing positions of the drawbar to allow the latter to be placed at will on one side. either of the axle.
The appended drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the carriage forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an explanatory view.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of this cart.
Fig. 3 is a partial section along the line III-III of FIG. 2.
Fig. 4 is a partial section along the line IV-IV of FIG. 2.
The carriage has an axle 1 carrying two wheels 2. On the axle 1 are fixed two arms 3 each carrying a support shoe 4 to serve as a support for the hull of the boat placed on the carriage. Each pad is articulated at 5 on the arm 3 to allow the pads 4 to take the inclination corresponding to the curvature of the shell. The carriage also has a drawbar 6 formed by two tubular elements 7 and 8 which are articulated, by one of their ends, on the arm 3. For this purpose, two tabs 9 and 10 are welded to each arm 3 and present. each has a bore to allow the passage of a pivot 11. The latter is held in place by its head 12 and by a transverse pin 13.
Each tubular element 7, 8 of the drawbar is welded to a sleeve 14 engaged on the pivot 11.
Near their free end, the tubular elements 7 and 8 are connected to one another by a cross member 15 which forms a support for the drawbar on the ground. This cross member 15 is formed by a tube, the two ends of which are welded and provided with a finger 16 intended to pass through the tubular element 7, respectively 8. The finger 16 has at its end a movable pin 17 allows both ensure the connection between the cross member 15 and each of the elements 7 and 8. The ends of the tubular elements 7 and 8 are connected by a second cross member 18 which serves as a handle to allow the carriage to be gripped in order to move it.
This cross member 18 is removably attached to the end of the elements 7 and 8 by fingers, not shown in the drawing, carried by these ends and which may be similar to those shown in FIG. 4 for fixing the cross member 15.
Fig. 1 shows the trolley in the position corresponding to the shape of conventional trolleys, the boat being placed on this trolley and bearing on the two support pads 4 and on the cross member 15. In this position, the boat is intended to be put in position. water the rear first by rolling the trolley on a ramp provided for this purpose. When it is desired to launch, the front first, the drawbar 6 is placed in the position indicated in dotted lines and designated by 6 'in fig. 1. For this purpose, the cross members 15 and 18 are uncoupled from one of the tubular elements 7 or 8, and this element is brought back towards the rear of the boat by rotating it around the pivot 11.
Then, the user slightly raises the front of the boat which is approximately in a position of equilibrium on the pads 4 to move the second element aside and to turn it in turn. When the two elements have been brought back towards the rear of the boat, they are again joined by the cross members 15 and 18, and the user can slide the boat on. the pads 4 so that its rear comes to press again on the crossbar 15. The trolley is then ready for launching the boat.
It is understood that one can provide many variants of the carriage described, and that in particular the elements 7 and 8 could be articulated to the supports of the carriage by means of a universal or cardan joint. This solution allows greater freedom in the movement necessary to pass the elements 7 and 8 from one side of the axle 1 to the other.
According to a simpler construction, the drawbar could be connected to the axle by means of at least one tube integral with the support or the axle, the axis of this tube corresponding to the longitudinal axis of the carriage, the drawbar being able to slide in this tube to extend to one side or the other of the axle. This last solution is also suitable in the case where the drawbar consists of a single central tube.
