B. kreisförmige Heftlöcher be nutzt werden.
Tape sticking device For storing flat objects (hereinafter referred to as workpiece for better differentiation), in particular drawing sheets, it has become known to attach a so-called carrier tape to the workpiece by means of an adhesive tape, which is then - before or after sticking with peg holes (Register holes) provided - is used to store the workpiece in a suitably sized folder or in a cabinet that is formed in the manner of a folder, preferably in a hanging position of the workpiece.
To easily and quickly glue the support band to the workpiece with the help of the separate adhesive tape, in particular a self-adhesive tape, a tape sticking device is used, which connects the adhesive tape to the workpiece on the one hand and to the support tape on the other during the joint advance of the three elements.
In the previous method, the adhesive tape is a separate part that must be kept in stock in addition to the fastener tape to process the fastener tape, d. H. to be able to stick to the respective flat workpiece.
The invention is based on the idea of making the separate adhesive tape dispensable, rather of using a carrier tape with its own adhesive strip on one longitudinal edge and of creating a tape sticking device for this purpose.
The new tape-sticking device is - like the above-mentioned, already known tape-sticking device - for sticking a carrier tape to the sheet-like workpiece during their common advance, it contains, in a known manner, a support table and a stop bar with a slot guide for the two aforementioned Elements, the carrier tape and the flat workpiece, and a pressure device following in the feed direction and a transport device.
According to the invention - for processing a carrier tape with its own adhesive strip on its one longitudinal edge - the slot guide is divided into two guide levels, one for the support tape and the other for the sheet-like workpiece, and these guide levels are opposite one another in the transverse direction offset to the other, so that between the elements to be guided on them, the sheet-like workpiece and the carrier tape, an overlap zone - suitable for mutual gluing - arise and allow this to run together with the two elements of the pressing device.
The above-mentioned known adhesive tape application device allows, in addition to the task of sticking a so-called support tape to a flat workpiece by an adhesive tape, also to fulfill the previously given task, a drawing sheet or a similar flat workpiece with an adhesive tape on the edge, in usually all around to protect the edges against tearing (so-called edge protection).
It is possible within the scope of the invention to build the device or to combine it with a device of the aforementioned type in such a way that all tasks mentioned so far, and possibly others, can be solved by the same tape application device.
An embodiment of this type is shown in the undersigned voltage; It shows Fig. 1 in plan view of a fastener tape with its own adhesive material web and a removable protective tape for these last two elements partially wegge broken, Fig. 2 is a section along the line II-II of Fig. 1, Fig. 3 a repetition of the representation According to Fig. 2, but for the sake of clarity with graphic distances between the elements, Fig. 4 shows the support tape with a glued-on workpiece that is partially broken away in the illustration,

10 shows a section along line XX in FIGS. 8 and 9, FIG. 11 shows a two-dimensional workpiece which is bordered on the edge with an adhesive tape (edge protection), FIG. 12 shows a section along line XII-XII in FIG. 11 , Fig. 13 shows a workpiece to which a carrier tape is attached by means of an adhesive tape, in the position in which the unit thus formed leaves the tape application device,
14 shows a section along the line XIV-XIV of FIG. 13, FIG. 15 shows the workpiece with the carrier tape glued on according to FIGS. 13 and 14, but in the unfolded position of the carrier tape, FIG. 16 shows a section along the line XVI-XVI of the Fig. 15, Fig. 17 is a plan view of the adhesive side of the adhesive tape used in the object of FIGS. 13 to 16.
The illustrated embodiment of the new tape sticking device can, as already mentioned, also be used for the tasks which are explained by FIGS. 11 to 17 and which will be discussed below. In addition, it is used to quickly and easily stick a carrier tape with its own adhesive strip to a flat workpiece; the device is first described here for.
The main part of the carrier tape 1 according to FIG. 1 (base tape) is a tear-proof and gap-proof tape made of paper or cardboard, optionally with a fabric overlay or fabric insert, or made of plastic or the like. It is generally recommended to use the tape to be provided with tack holes 2 during production. In the exemplary embodiment, these are elongated and semicircular at one and the other end. Instead, z. B. circular tack holes be used. It is also possible to punch the tack holes 2 only after the support tape has been glued to the sheet-like workpiece.
The carrier tape 1 has its own adhesive web 3 on one longitudinal edge. Various types of adhesives can be used, e.g. B. water-soluble adhesives or hot-melt adhesives, so in order to make them adhesive, a moistening or heating ver long, for which then appropriate devices to be assigned to the tape sticking device or to be attached to him.
According to the preferred embodiment, the device shown and the further description assume that the adhesive web 3 consists of a pressure-sensitive cold adhesive, a so-called self-adhesive, which is also adhesive at room temperature and therefore does not require any special measures to be taken during processing of the liner to make adhesive. Self-adhesives of this type are sufficiently well known in their use and composition, they are made, among other things, on the basis of natural rubber or synthetic rubber: The fastener tape is usually rolled up into a roll in the appropriate length and put on the market.
So that the successive layers of the roll do not stick together through the adhesive web 3 located between them, measures are necessary as they are already widely known per se. You can z. B. the adhesive-free back of the support bands or a sub-zone that corresponds to the width of the adhesive material web 3 or - better - goes beyond it and comes into contact with it when it is rolled up, with an adhesive-repellent material, eg. B. on the basis of silicone resin, coat or impregnate ren.
In the exemplary embodiment, a protective tape 4 or - in another name - a cover tape, which can consist of paper and is smoothed on the side facing the adhesive web 3 and / or impregnated with an adhesive-repellent substance and / or has dome-like embossing, is instead placed on the adhesive web 3 , in such a way that the protective tape 4 can easily be detached from the adhesive web 3 when the carrier tape is being processed,
Take away from the adhesive web 3 without substantially mass of adhesive particles.
The adhesive sheet 3 leaves a narrow zone 5 of about 1 mm width free at one edge of the support band 1 so that no glue is used when storing or after gluing the support band - with its not entirely to be eliminated tendency to flow - gradually over the edge of the carrying tape 1 penetrates, which could otherwise lead to the pausing machine sticking together when a drawing sheet or the like provided with a carrying tape is copied. The protective tape 4, on the other hand, also covers the adhesive-free edge zone 5, so it extends right up to one edge of the support tape 1.
On the other hand, the protective tape 4 protrudes in the execution example approximately to the center line of the tack holes 2. It has, as far as it protrudes into the area of the tack holes 2, cutouts that follow the lower edges of the holes 2. This results from the fact that that the carrier tape 1 has been covered in the area of its adhesive web 3 with the protective tape 4 initially of the same width and only then have the tack holes 2 punched. The protective tape 4 can also be kept narrower ge. In itself, it is sufficient if it also protrudes over the adhesive web 3 by approximately 1 mm on the side facing the tacking holes 2.
Experience has shown that the self-adhesive does not penetrate over the adhesive-free zones of about 1 mm when it flows gradually.
The tape can be made in different widths; a width of 35 mm is generally sufficient. For larger drawing sheets or the like, a width of 60 mm can also be considered. For both and for the widths in between, an adhesive web of 12 to 13 mm width with an adhesive-free edge zone 5 of 1 mm width is generally sufficient.
1 has a width of 35 mm, this total dimension can be broken down as follows: an adhesive-free edge zone 5 1 mm wide, an adhesive application 3 13 mm wide, a distance of 5 mm between the adhesive sheet 3 and the lower edge the tack holes 2, a hole width of 9 mm in the transverse direction of the carrier tape and then the upper edge zone of the carrier tape of 7 mm width.
FIG. 2 and even more FIG. 3 show that the finished carrier tape 1 consists of the base tape, the adhesive application 3 and the protective tape 4. 4 and 5 show a two-dimensional workpiece, in particular a drawing sheet, to which the carrier tape 1 is glued by its adhesive web 3.
The two elements 1 and 6 are connected in such a position to one another by the adhesive web 3 that - based on the adhesive web 3 - the adhesive-free edge zone 5 of about 1 mm width results on the carrier tape 1 and, furthermore, for the same purpose - an adhesive on the workpiece 6 - Free edge zone 7, also with a width of about 1 mm or a little more.
The new tape stick it makes it possible to use a fastener tape with its own adhesive web, in particular a fastener tape of the type shown in Figs. 1 to 3, in the given position safely and comfortably on the sheet-like workpiece under pressure and so the two elements together connect to.
The device base body 20 (FIG. 6) contains a support table 21, which is used to lay down and also to guide the workpiece 6 and the carrier tape 1. The support table 21 is beveled at its free edge 22 in order to facilitate the introduction of the workpiece 6 and the carrier tape 1. On its underside, the support table 21 is flat, so that you can put the device with this underside on a work table and fixed with him or sol bar, z. B. can connect by rivets, screws or a screw clamp.
In the game Ausführungsbei the base body 20 is hen with an arm 23 verses, in which, on an internal thread, a threaded despindel 24 leads, which in cooperation with the support table 21 forms a clamp for releasable attachment of the device.
The support table 21 is - see in particular Fig. 7 - assigned to the non-beveled edge a stop bar 25 which extends in the longitudinal direction of the Auflegeti cal 21 over part of its length. A guide plate 26 is connected to the stop bar 25, consisting of one piece therewith. It forms a slot guide with the support table 21, which according to the invention is divided into two management levels; these management levels are also offset from one another in the transverse direction. This is achieved in the exemplary embodiment in that the guide plate 26 largely covers the loading table 21 in the transverse direction and that it carries a bent guide plate 27 with the lateral stop 28 on the underside.
The guide plate 27 leaves a gap (slot) between itself and the part 26 and also between itself and the support table 21 with such a clear width that the workpiece 6 and the slot guide 26, 27, 21, 25, the carrier tape 1 inserted and each can be moved forward in the longitudinal direction of these two guides to the pressing device.
The two lateral stops 25 and 28 and thus the slot guides that are laterally limited by them are offset against one another in the transverse direction of the support table 21, in such a way that in the direction of the vertical axis, that is the perpendicular to the plane of the support table 21, the support tape 1 and the workpiece 6 overlap according to FIGS. 4 and 5.
The fastener tape 1 is from a storage container, in which it - z. B. back and forth running - is inserted, or from a stack or from a supply roll o. The like. Supplied. Of the latter possible speed is made use of in the illustrated embodiment.
In relation to the feed direction (see the arrow in FIG. 6), a holder for the carrier tape supply roll is detachably attached to the rear end of the base frame 20. For this purpose - see in particular FIG. 8 - with the base body 20 a receiving piece 30 is firmly connected, which holds a flat receiving surface and a stop bar 31 ent for the holder 32 of the carrier tape supply roll; on that stop bar 31 this is supported with its free end, so it is secured against turning. A screw bolt 33 on the receiving piece 30 with a wing nut 34 is used for releasable fastening of the holder 32.
The holder 32 has (see Fig. 6) Win kelform. At the transition point between his two legs he carries a screw bolt 35 on which a coil core 36 of cylindrical shape, for. B made of wood or plastic. The carrier tape supply roll 37 with its cardboard ring 38 is placed on it in an easily rotatable manner.
Ge against sliding the tape supply roll 37 is secured by a flat Gegenynstück 39, which contains two holes; with one it is placed on the bolt 35 and with the other on a fixed bolt 40 of the holder 32.
The counterpart 39 is secured in this way against turning and by an externally knurled grip nut 41 on the screw bolt 35 against sliding. Between the nut 41 and the counterpart 39 is loosely the bolt 35 umge bend, a coil spring 42 acting as a compression spring, it puts the counterpart 39 resiliently, with light pressure, against the supply roll 37 when it is a little longer in the axial direction is as the coil core 36; the counterpart 39 can thus also be used to brake the carrier tape supply roll 37 just enough that it does not unwind automatically.
The holder 32 and the counterpart 39 protrude on both sides, as can be seen from FIG. 6, the still full supply roll 37, whereby it is achieved that the layers of the supply roll cannot move towards each other in the direction of the axis - trumpet-shaped.
The holder 32 also contains the pins 43 and 44 for guiding the carrier tape 1 withdrawn from the roll 37, each of which could be replaced by a roll. The pin 43 is assigned a knife-shaped scraper 45, which is supported by the holder 32 and has the same width as the carrier tape 1 and is used to detach the protective tape 4 from the carrier tape 1, as shown in FIG.
If the carrier tape supply roll 37 is placed on the holder 32 and the counterpart 39 is brought into its working position and secured by the nut 41, then one grabs the beginning of the carrier tape 1 and pulls it to the pin 43 before. Here you solve the beginning of the protective tape 4 and leads the beginning of the support tape 1, from which the protective tape 4 is already released, between tween the bolt 43 and the stripper 45 through. When the carrier tape 1 is pulled forward further, the protective tape 4 then automatically detaches from the stripper 45.
The carrier tape 1 freed from the protective tape 4 is - with its adhesive web 3 facing upwards - inserted over the bolt 44 into the slot guide 27, 26, 25, 21, in such a way that, based on FIG. 7, it extends with its right edge leads to the stop bar 25. The holder 32 is designed and attached to the base frame 20 in such a way that the carrier tape 1 on the supply roll 37 and on its way to the slot guide 27, 26, 25, 21 is aligned with its one edge edge with the stop surface of the stop bar 25.
You can insert the fastener tape 1 into said slot guide from its rear end. It is simpler to push the support tape 1 across the inclined edge zone 22 of the loading table 21 into the slot guide, which is facilitated by the transverse trough 46 incorporated into the loading table 21 and the inclined edge zone 22 (see FIGS. 6 and 8 ). If the beginning of the fastener tape 1 leads into the associated slot guide, it passes through the slot guide until the supply roll 37 is used up; when cutting off the portion that is glued to the individual sheet-like workpiece, the following part of the fastener tape 1 remains threaded into the slot guide.
In the upper (referring to Fig. 7) slot guide, delimited by the parts 26, 27, 28 leads with his nem an edge that is to be provided with the fastener sheet workpiece 6, z. B. a drawing sheet, namely - due to the mutual transverse displacement of the two slot guides - to the carrier tape in the position according to FIGS. 4 and 5.
Viewed in the direction of advance, the slot guide, which is divided into two levels, is followed by a pressure device which - in a plan view of the elements 1 and 6 that feed it - engages over (covers) the adhesive web 3 of the carrier tape 1 and consequently the two elements 1 and 6 in the area of the adhesive strip 3 compresses and thereby sticks together ver.
This pressure device is a main part of a cylindrical roller 47; on the outside, in the direction of its axis, it is corrugated and freely rotatable on an axis 48, which in turn is fastened to a double lever 49 or is attached to it in an adjustable manner - by means of a ball-and-socket-type bracket, for setting one in each case A particularly favorable position to the elements 1 and 6 passing under the roller. A split pin 50 secures the pressure roller 47 against sliding off the axis 48.
The double lever 49 is - see also FIG. 9 - rotatably mounted on an axle 51, which in turn is carried by a holder 52. The axis 51 can have a screw thread at one end and a head with a slot 53 aufwei sen at the other end (Fig. 6), so that the axis 51, after the double lever 49 is placed on its bearing part, releasably in the manner of a firmly tightened screw - can connect to the holder 52.
The pressure roller 47 has as a counter bearing, how u. a. 6 sees the support table 21. So that it works with a contact pressure that corresponds to the nature of the carrier tape 1, its adhesive web 3 and the surface adhering workpiece 6, a tension spring 54 is seen in front of the double lever 49 and at one end is suspended at the other end on an adjusting screw 55, 56. This is guided with its screw bolts 55 in an arm 57 of the holder 52 so as to be longitudinally movable. Via the nut 56, the tension of the spring 54 is set in the sense of a favorable mode of action before the device is started up or before the transition to another carrier tape 1 and / or another type of work piece 6.
In order to be able to lift the pressure roller 47 comfortably when inserting the support band 1, a lever 58 is pivotably mounted on the holder 52, it carries a button 59, and also a cross pin 60 which protrudes into the area of the double lever 49, so that when pressed down of the lifting lever 58, the double lever 49 is pivoted out and thus the pressure roller 47 is lifted off the support table 21.
The holder 52 is releasably on the base body 20 BEFE Stigt. For this purpose, a bolt 61 is attached to it, which has a threaded part and a wing nut 62 on it. The holder 52 is placed on the bolt 61 with a slot 63 open at the bottom. On the holder 52 there is a rib-shaped stop 52a (FIG. 6), with which it is supported in the working position against the base body 20 or against the stop bar 25, 26. As a result, the holder 52, clamped on the bolt 61 by tightening the wing nut 62, is also secured against turning.
By means of the bolt 61 and the wing nut 62, the folding nozzle 65 is also releasably attached via its holder 66 via the elongated pressure piece 64; it is used to crease the tape when performing the tasks described below. The nozzle holder 66 (FIG. 9) has two holes with which it is placed on the pins 67 and 68 of the base body 20. The pressure piece 64 has two corresponding holes at one end, with which it is releasably attached to the pins 67 and 68. At the other end, the pressure piece 64 is placed on the bolt 61 with an eye 69.
By tightening the wing nut 62, it is clamped, together with the holder 52, on the bolt 61, with which the nozzle holder 66 is also clamped at the same time. After loosening the wing nut 62 you can remove the holder 52 with the parts located thereon and also the pressure piece 64 and on it the folding nozzle 65, 66 and optionally - to adapt to the respective dimensions of the adhesive tape and the support tape etc. - against another folding nozzle and / or exchange another pressure roller unit 47 to 60, unless this is set up to be adjustable, as will be described below.
To receive an adhesive tape supply roll, a bearing arm 70 with a hollow bearing pin 71 is attached to the base body 20. The individual roll of adhesive tape contains inside in a known manner a spool ring made of cardboard or the like, the inner diameter of which is larger than the bearing pin 71, so that the brake dome 72 can attack the spool ring of the adhesive tape supply roll placed on the pin 71 from the inside. This reaches through a slot in the bearing arm 70 and the bearing mandrel 71 and is attached to a lever 73,
which is pivotably mounted at 74 on the bearing arm 70 and is under the action of a tension spring not visible in FIG. 8; this engages on the one hand on the bearing arm. 70 and on the other hand on the lever 73. To insert the adhesive tape supply roll, the brake mandrel 72 is pivoted by hand from the illustrated end position, which it assumes under .dem influence of the tension spring, into the other end position; it is released after inserting the roll of adhesive tape.
Under the action of the tension spring, the brake mandrel 72 then rests from the inside against the spool ring of the applied roll of adhesive tape and thus exerts a slight braking effect on it, so that the adhesive tape can still be pulled off the roll with sufficient ease without, however, an unsightly wanted turning of the role would be possible. Since the tape sticking device is generally in a horizontal position in use, based on the support table 21 and the bearing arm 70, the rest of the adhesive tape roll held by its own weight on the bearing arm 70 and the mandrel 71.
This also has the advantage that, if necessary, rolls of adhesive tape with different widths of the adhesive tape can be inserted into the device.
For guiding and deflecting the adhesive tape removed from the supply roll, a deflection pin 75 is attached to the base body 20 (see in particular FIG. 9); it is set up for different widths of the adhesive tape by means of lugs 76, 77 which are located on only part of its otherwise cylindrical circumference. It can be adjusted to one or the other bandwidth by a corresponding rotation and for this purpose is adjustable on the base body 20; for this purpose, he has at one end a threaded part with a grip nut 78, which he is determined in the respective ge desired position.
A set of mutually interchangeable deflection pins with different guide widths can also be provided.
The adhesive tape runs from the guide pin 75 - here still flat and with the adhesive side facing outwards - to the folding nozzle 65 and from there - in the tasks described below - with the one or more already in the folding nozzle in the adhesive tape fold with broken elements such. B. a drawing sheet or a drawing sheet and a tape, to the pressing and transport device described below. Regarding the structure of the folding nozzle 65 and the guide pin 75 and the associated manner of use of the device, reference is also made to the patent documents mentioned above, where the structure and manner of use are described in more detail than here.
The pressing and transport device following the folding nozzle 65 is - in the exemplary embodiment - only used for the transport or, in other words, for the feed when processing a carrier tape with its own adhesive web, but not for the two-dimensional workpiece 6 and the carrier tape 1 Be rich in the adhesive sheet 3 to be pressed together and there through to connect. Rather, this task is fulfilled by the pressure roller 47.
Opposite it, the said pressure and transport device is offset in the transverse direction, so that it only or essentially only grips the elements 1 and 6, which are already connected to one another by the pressure roller 47 to form a unit, on the carrier tape 1 outside its adhesive web 3. This is related to the fact that the illustrated embodiment also includes a known tape sticking device and can also be used for edging a flat workpiece and for connecting such a workpiece to a support tape (without its own adhesive strip) by means of a separate adhesive tape.
As can be seen from FIGS. 9 and 10, the pressure and transport device consists in its main parts of the transport roller 81 and the pressure roller 82. These rollers can, as shown, be knurled in the direction of their axes, whereby the advance of the two Rolls captured elements is better secured and thereby also a slight knurling is transferred to the captured elements, which can be useful for the tasks described below. The shaft 83 of the transport roller 81 is mounted on the base body 20 and connected to a hand crank 84 for driving the transport roller 81.
The pressure roller 82 is mounted with its axis 85 in a bearing fork 86, which in turn is mounted on an axis 86a connected to the base body 20. At the bearing fork 86 engages a tension spring 87 which is hooked to a screw bolt 88 with its other end. This screw bolt 88 is movably guided in a bearing hole of the base body 20 and is supported on the base body 20 via its grip nut 89; by turning the nut 89, the tension of the spring 87 and so the pressure of the roller 82 can be adjusted within the given limits.
Due to the lever 90 mounted on the axle 85, which interacts with the curved surface 20d (FIG. 9) of the base body 20, the bearing fork 86 can be ang.hoben and thus the pressure roller 82 is lifted. Use is made of this when the beginning of the fastener tape or of the adhesive tape described below is threaded between the rollers 81 and '82.
The pressure roller 82 can also be used as a transport roller. It is for this purpose, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 10, via the gear 91 connected to it and the gear 92 connected to the roller 81 with the drive shaft 83 coupled.
Behind the rollers 81 and 82 - in the feed direction - a swivel knife 93 is arranged, which assumes the rest position under the action of a spring 94 acting on it and can be pivoted against the action of this spring in the path of the elements moving towards it. The knife 93 is u. a. used as soon as the rear edge of the workpiece has just passed the height of the knife; So it is in each case the following the workpiece 6 supporting tape and - in the task described below - cut the workpiece following adhesive tape immediately behind the workpiece.
Let it first be the use of the tape sticking device for sticking a fastener tape with its own adhesive web of material to a flat workpiece weiterbe written: As shown above in FIGS. 1 to 4, the fastener tape 1 can have pin holes 2 from the outset; But it is also possible to punch the tack holes after gluing the fastener tape 1 to the sheet-like work piece 6 in the fastener tape 1, for. B. with a correspondingly large multi-hole punch. Then when gluing the fastener tape 1 no consideration of the location of the tack holes 2 is taken to whoever. It is assumed that a carrier tape without pin holes should first be processed.
This support tape is withdrawn from the support tape supply roll inserted into the holding device 32 to 45 and passed with its beginning between the pin 43 and the Abstrei fer 45 and inserted via the pin 44 into the un direct slot guide (see Fig. 7) and under the pressure roller 47 pulled through, which is here lifted via the button 59, up to the rollers 81 and 82. Between these, the beginning of the support bands 1 is clamped, for which the pressure roller 82 is lifted via the lever 90.
Now or before, the drawing sheet or other two-dimensional work piece is inserted into the upper slot guide and, with its one edge resting against the stop bar 28, advanced under the pressure roller 47, where it comes into contact with the carrier tape 1. If necessary, is by hand the sheet-like workpiece 6 is still slightly advanced beyond the pressure roller 47, while rend at the same time via the crank 84, the rollers 81 and 82, between which the tape is already clamped, are driven.
The state will soon be reached in which the drive of the two rollers 81 and 82 alone is sufficient to advance the carrier tape and over it the sheet-like workpiece 6 that has already been partially glued on. Here, under the pressure roller 47, the supporting tape 1 moving towards the roller 47 is glued to the sheet-like workpiece 6 that has been pulled forward. If the rear edge of the workpiece 6 reaches the swivel knife 93 or it has just exceeded the height of the swivel knife 93, the feed is ended and the subsequent part of the support band 1 is separated from the part stuck to the sheet-like workpiece with the swivel knife 93.
You now have the sheet-like workpiece with the glued-on fastener tape, attach the stitching holes to it, if they are needed, and store the unit formed from the workpiece and the fastener tape or use it for other purposes.
If a fastener tape is processed with holes (see Fig. 1 and 4), it will generally be necessary to adjust the position of the holes in relation to the sheet-like work piece so that the holes always have the same position on the respective format of the drawing sheet or other workpiece and thus this can be stored without difficulty with other workpieces of the same format in the same drawing cabinet or the like.
To make this easier, marks can be placed on the device, one for the front edge of the workpiece - in the feed direction - and a second to which a fastening hole of the fastener tape is set before the fastener tape and workpiece are positioned in relation to one another brings together under the pressure roller 47. The rest of the procedure is as already described.
It is mentioned above that tape different widths can be used. If, contrary to the assumptions on which the illustration in the drawing, in particular special in FIG. 7, is based, a different carrier tape is used, it is necessary to use the elements 25 to 28, which together can form a unit and which, including the support table 21 the two slot guides represent to be exchanged for another unit which corresponds to the width of the carrier tape to be used now. This can be done easily when the unit 25 to 28 is releasably attached to the base body 20, e.g.
B. with screws, as Fig. 7 shows. With a larger width of the fastener tape, the adhesive web 3 of the fastener tape 1 will again have the above-specified width of about 13 mm and will again be at one edge - based on FIG. 7 on the left edge - of the fastener tape, preferably with an adhesive-free one Edge zone of about 1 mm. This means that - with reference to FIG. 7 - the adhesive web has moved to the left.
Accordingly, in the event of a transition to a carrier tape of a different width, the unit to which the pressure roller 47 with the holder 52 belongs must also be exchanged. This can be done easily, since the holder 52 with the parts mounted on it can be removed after loosening the wing nut 62 and another one can be used in place of the previous pressure unit, the pressure roller of which, like the one, overlaps the zone of the adhesive web of the carrier tape to be used now ).
If the support table 21 is no longer wide enough for this purpose, an auxiliary plate can be used which is correspondingly wide and placed on the support table 21, protruding into the area of the pressure roller 47 which has now moved out to the left in relation to FIG.
It is easiest to combine this auxiliary plate with the two-tier slot guide to form a unit and, if necessary, to exchange it for the unit 25 to 28; In this case, the auxiliary plate takes over - at least partially - the tasks of the support table 21.
It has already been said that when transitioning to a carrier tape of a different width, the pressure roller 47 must be displaced transversely to the support table 21 so that it overlaps (covers) the adhesive web of the carrier tape that is now in use. For this purpose, as stated above ben, the entire pressure unit with the pressure roller 47 and the holder 52 can be exchanged for another unit with a corresponding position of the pressure roller.
Instead - and this is less expensive - the pressure roller 47 can be made correspondingly wide from the outset or set up adjustable in the transverse direction without the entire unit having to be replaced, which does not present any difficulties to the person skilled in the art. It can be z. B. cause in such a way that on the correspondingly long formed axis 48, the pressure roller 47 in the longitudinal direction of the axis in the respective desired position can be set.
Come - according to the ge current conditions - only two widths of the supporting bands, about 35 mm and 60 mm, into consideration, so it is sufficient if the pressure roller 47 between two positions in the transverse direction of the support table 21 is adjustable. This can be achieved particularly easily if the axis 48, on which the pressure roller 47 is then not adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the axis, is correspondingly long on both sides of the roller 47 and provided with a threaded part at both ends so that the axis 48 can be repositioned for its holder, that is to say can be inserted into the associated holder either with one end and with its end.
Are the two ends of the axis 48 on one side and on the other side of the roller 47 in a corre sponding length ratio to each other, the Stel lungs of the roller 47 in the transverse direction to the support table are different before and after repositioning, in such a way that one position is adapted to the narrower and the other to the wider strap.
If you only use the lower slot guide with the stop bar 25 or you swap the illustrated slot guide, which is divided into two levels, for a simple slot guide that would only consist of parts 25 and 26 and possibly a smaller slot width than would be available if one in Fig. 7 thinks away the parts 27 and 28, the following tasks can also be performed with the tape sticking device shown.
The device can once - like the hitherto known edging devices - be used to, according to FIGS. 11 and 12, a workpiece 11, e.g. B. bent a sign to be bordered at the edge with an adhesive tape 12 in a saddle shape. Here, too, a self-adhesive tape with pressure-sensitive cold adhesive is preferably used as the adhesive tape.
For such an edging, an adhesive tape supply roll is placed on the bearing mandrel 71 in the manner described above, and the beginning of the adhesive tape is inserted via the deflection pin 75 into the folding nozzle 65 and from there pulled forward to the Rol len 81 and 82 and clamped between them . Then the drawing sheet or other workpiece is pushed into the slot guide via the support table 21 and - guided here - through the folding nozzle 65 .the transport and pressure rollers 81, 82 are guided.
If these rollers are then driven via the hand crank 84, the workpiece is framed in a saddle-shaped manner by the folded adhesive tape as it passes between the rollers. The swivel knife 93 is used analogously as described above.
If a fastener tape 13 (see Fig. 13 to 16) is to be connected to a flat work piece without its own adhesive web, a corresponding fastener tape supply roll with a holder is attached, which can essentially correspond to the holder 32 to 45, but does not require a scraper, since the carrier tape is without its own adhesive strip and accordingly also without a protective tape.
In the side setting, the holder, which takes the place of the holder 32 to 45, must be set in such a way that the support band pulled off the supply roll, when the lower slot guide is used with reference to FIG. 7, guides itself against the stop bar 25 , as well as the flat workpiece to be connected to it (here designated 11).
The two elements brought up in the slot guide, the workpiece 11 and the carrier tape 13, are also introduced into the folding nozzle, already in the still open fold of the adhesive tape 12, so that the carrier tape 13 with the workpiece 11 then through the two rollers 81 and 82 is connected by the adhesive tape 12 placed around both parts in the shape of a saddle. Said parts leave the tape sticking device in a mutual position as shown in FIGS. 13 and 14 is Darge. Then the fastener tape 13 is unfolded as shown in FIGS. 15 and 16 and see ver with pin holes 13a.
The entire structure can then be hung or otherwise stored in the cabinets or the like using the pin holes 13a.
The tacking holes 13a can also be contained in the carrier tape 13 before it is connected to the workpiece 11. Then, as described above with regard to the carrier tape 1, it is generally important that the carrier tape 13 or its tacking holes 13a are in a certain position relative to the upper and lower edge - based on FIG. 15 - of the workpiece 11.
This can be easily achieved if two marks M1 and M2 are attached to the support table 21, 22 or its extension (see FIG. 8) and the front edge of the workpiece 11 to the mark M1 and a tack hole of the support tape to the mark M2 13 and in this mutual position the workpiece 11 and the carrier tape 13 are fed to the rollers 81 and 82, where they - as already described - are connected to one another by the adhesive tape 12 as shown in FIGS. 13 and 14.
As FIGS. 15 and 16 show, it is inevitable that a butt joint is created between the workpiece 11 and the carrier tape 13, which in itself only has a small extent, but it can lead to adhesive emerging from the butt joint if the adhesive tape 12 also has an adhesive application in the central zone. For this reason, it is advisable to use an adhesive tape according to FIG. 17, which is wider than the butt joint in the middle zone 12a - is adhesive-free and furthermore has adhesive-free edge zones 12b approximately 1 mm wide.
It is recommended, and it may also be necessary under certain circumstances, when using the tape application device for the tasks according to FIGS. 11 to 16, to remove the pressure device with the roller 47 and the holder 52 from the device and only then to use it again. if a carrier tape with its own adhesive strip is to be processed.
The entire transport and pressing device, to which the rollers 81 and 82 belong, can also be adjustable in the transverse direction to the support table 21 or can be exchanged for other units with corresponding positions of the rollers 81 and 82. In the case of a special device, the holder 32 to 45 can be detachable again, but can also be permanently attached to the device.
The two slot guides can in the illustrated embodiment and also in the explained special device, instead of making them interchangeable, in the transverse direction to the support table - z. B. with a slide guide - be set up adjustable, at least the upper slot guide, based on Figure 7, which is then executed as an independent part, which is adjustable to it in the transverse direction without affecting the operation of the lower slot guide. You can then, without having to change it, adapt to the respective width of the carrier tape or, in the case of a carrier tape of the same width, but with an adhesive web offset in the transverse direction to the individual case.
