Liquid container
It is known that glass is a material which has many advantages and that for the manufacture of bottles it is used almost exclusively.
In view of these advantages, it nevertheless presents serious drawbacks which have prompted manufacturers to seek new materials for the manufacture of bottles, but the consumer comes up against the force of habit which is far from be negligible.
The disadvantages of glass are above all its fragility and weight.
Because of its fragility, glass is dangerous to handle. However, a bottle of mineral water, for example, is handled about twenty-five times from the sender to the consumer, and moreover, the glass is quite expensive because of breakage (a broken bottle is counted for twenty -five trips, and seven per thousand during cleaning and filling).
Because of its weight, glass requires special packaging (boxes) which are themselves heavy and bulky. The transport of glass is expensive (the tax being almost one and a half times the weight of the bottled liquid, since the empty bottle is returned).
Its use is ultimately complicated, since the bottles and racks are returnable.
The subject of the invention is a container for liquids, characterized in that it comprises on the one hand an outer glass casing having a closable neck and a removable bottom, and on the other hand an internal bottle in a flexible material that can be engaged. by the bottom of the glass casing and resting on the internal walls thereof, this flexible bottle having a neck of greater length than that of the glass casing in order to allow its sectioning to pour the liquid.
The appended drawing illustrates, by way of example, an embodiment with variants of the container for liquids according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an exploded overview of this container.
Fig. 2 is a partial sectional view showing a variant pressure of the neck of the casing and of the neck of the bottle.
Figs. 3 and 4 are similar views each showing another variant,
Fig. 5 is a schematic sectional view showing the filling of the refill bottle.
Fig. 6 is a partial sectional view showing a casing, the refill bottle of which is provided with an auxiliary chamber.
According to the drawing, the receptacle comprises a glass envelope 1 of usual general shape, that is to say having a neck 2 provided on the outside at its top with a ring 3.
This envelope has a removable bottom so as to be able to introduce therein a refill bottle 4 made of flexible synthetic material.
The bottle 4 made of a flexible material has the same shape and substantially the same dimensions as the inside of the casing 1, except for its neck 5 which is longer than that 2 of the casing 1. The bottle 4 filled with liquid, is engaged in the casing 1. This casing 1 is closed by means of an attached bottom 6, for example made of rigid synthetic material which, here is simply fitted with friction on the casing 1.
To ensure the correct positioning of the neck 5 of the bottle 4 as well as the seal between this neck and that of the casing 1, an additional device can be provided.
According to fig. 1 and 2 this additional device consists of a hollow sleeve 7 (that is to say that it is axially crossed by a passage 8) which has an outer skirt 9 carrying an internal annular shoulder 10. This sleeve of rigid synthetic material nevertheless having a certain elasticity, is engaged in the neck 2 and its shoulder 10 locks under the ring 3. Thus, the sleeve can rotate on the neck 2 but cannot separate from it freely.
On the walls of the passage 8, there is a first thread 11 with which cooperates a corresponding thread 12 provided on the outside of the neck 5. By turning the sleeve 7 by its knurled periphery 13, the bottle 4 is forced to go up in the envelope 1 so that their shapes closely match.
At the same time, it is ensured of the correct position of the neck 5 and of the tightness of the connection so that the liquid cannot flow between the bottle and the casing during use.
When the bottle is in place, the neck 5 is cut with scissors along line 14, that is to say flush with the sleeve 7.
After partial emptying, the neck 5 is closed by means of a removable plug 15, the skirt 16 of which is provided on the outside with a screw thread 17 which cooperates with a corresponding screw thread 18 of the wall of the passage 8 and located at the- above the first 11. Between the stopper 15 and the sleeve 7 is the neck 5, but its thickness is not great and the diameter of the skirt 16 as well as that of the screw thread 17 are provided accordingly.
According to fig. 3 the additional device consists of a flange 19 of flexible material welded at 20 to the neck 5. The latter has a thinning 5a to the right of which there is a screw thread 21 on the flange 19.
For the establishment of the bottle 4 filled with liquid, a stopper 22 is used, the skirt 23 of which is provided with a screw thread 24 which cooperates with the screw thread 21 of the collar 19. This stopper further comprises a pull tab. 25 and has a diameter just smaller than the inside diameter of the neck 2.
The bottle 4 is therefore engaged with the stopper 22 and the zipper 25 is gripped to raise this bottle 4 until the collar 19, elastically deformed during its passage through the neck 2, exceeds the top and opens out into corole on this neck 2. Then, it is easy to unscrew the cap 22, cut the neck and replace the cap 22 after use.
According to fig. 4, the complementary device comprises a thread 26 on the neck 5 and a sleeve 27 provided with a collar 28 applying externally on this neck 2, while a skirt 29 is provided with a thread 30 cooperating with that of the neck 5.
Here again, the end of the neck 5 is thinned to give passage to a shutter plug 31, the skirt 32 of which has a screw thread 33 cooperating with a screw thread 34 provided in correspondence inside the skirt 29.
In the above description, only screw threads have been described as a means of joining the different elements, but any other means known in the art could be chosen which makes it possible to achieve the same goal.
In fig. 5, bottle 4 has an appen
hollow dice 4a of sufficient dimensions to be able to serve for the passage of a filling spout 35 forming part of a known machine. It is thus possible to obtain the filling of the bottle with liquid using known equipment while taking, however, measures, moreover simple, to ensure the holding of the bottles 4 during their filling. After this
operation, the orifice of the bottle is closed for example by making a transverse weld 36 of the walls of the appendix 4a.
The bottle could be filled through an orifice similar to the previous one but differently located. One could even use the neck 5 before it is closed by welding, if the spout 35 has a fairly small diameter.
According to fig. 6 the bottle 4 has a sealed auxiliary chamber 37 whose wall is weakened at 38.
At this location is fixed a link 39 which tightly passes through the wall of the bottle.
When placing the bottle 4 in the casing 1, the link 39 is passed from the inside to the outside through a hole 6a made in the bottom 6 of the casing then the latter is placed as above. . These devices make it possible, after installation, to tear the wall of the auxiliary chamber 37 by pulling on the link 39 and thus to communicate this auxiliary chamber 37 with the chamber of the bottle 4 to obtain the mixture of the products they contain. .
These products can, for example, be a liquid in the main chamber and effervescent mineral salts in the auxiliary chamber 37 or else a fruit juice and pulps, etc.
The filling orifice of the bottle 4 (for example the orifice 4a) can be provided with sufficient dimensions to also allow the introduction of the auxiliary chamber 37, the link passing through this orifice and being taken in a sealed manner during of the solder closing the orifice.
The opening of the auxiliary chamber 37 can be obtained by a means other than a tearing link, for example by means of a trocar.
The container described eliminates the drawbacks of current glass bottles. Indeed, the envelope 1 is bought once and for all by the user, tan say that handling, transport, storage, etc. only interest refill bottles.
This results in considerable simplification and savings.
In addition, this container for liquids makes it possible to precisely dose the air contained in the refill bottles and even to completely eliminate it, which has the advantage of allowing the good conservation of certain fragile liquids such as wine, milk, cider, beer, mineral water etc.
