Abstract

The device, for the consumption of drinks in a container provided with an opening, has a wall (21, 22) allowing the consumption and emerging freely at the top and, in conjunction with the lower part of the said lower part of the said wall, means of fixing (12) to the said container around its opening and means ensuring fluid-tightness (sealing) between the said device and the container, around the said opening.

Description

 Device for the consumption of beverages.

 The present invention relates to a device for the consumption of beverages as well as to other assemblies formed by such devices and associated containers.

 Current containers containing retail beverages, such as bottles, flasks, cans, boxes or cartons, do not allow a consumer to drink easily without pouring the beverage into a glass or beaker or without using an accessory such as a straw . Indeed, many people do not know how to drink a feast or even from the neck of a bottle.

Drinking from a can, for example a can of beer, or a carton, is even more difficult and more unpleasant.

 The present invention proposes to remedy these drawbacks and to provide a device making it possible to drink directly from a container containing the drink and this in a simple, easy and clean manner.

 Another object of the invention is to provide such a device which is capable of being used in all circumstances, including on the move when no stable support can be found for the uncapped container.

 Another object of the invention is to provide such a device which is particularly inexpensive.

 The present invention relates to a device for the consumption of drinks in a container provided with an opening, characterized in that it has a wall allowing consumption and opening freely upwards and, in connection with the lower part of said wall, fixing means on said container around its opening as well as means ensuring sealing between said device and the container, around said opening.

 Preferably, the wall allowing consumption is a peripheral wall in the form of a cup.

 The device according to the invention can be fixed in any case on the container, around the opening thereof. The fixing can thus, for example, be carried out by screwing, in particular in the case of a bottle, by force introduction, also in the case of a bottle, by clipping, in particular in the case of a metal box, by gluing, welding or any other means.

 The means ensuring leaktightness may include a seal coming from the body with the rest of the device or attached, a sealing lip, or any other means and, for example, sealing may be ensured by the fixing means itself. even in the event of sticking or welding in particular.

 The device according to the invention can be fixed either hermetically on the container from the start, or, alternatively, it can be delivered separately and attached to the container by the consumer.

 The cup-shaped wall preferably has a mouth diameter of the order of the diameter of a cup or a cup, and a height which can vary in large proportions, the minimum height preferably being greater than 1 cm and, more advantageously, 2 cm.

 In a first embodiment, said wall may be integral with a bottom which is placed on the container, with an opening made in the bottom, coinciding with the opening of the container.

 In some cases, a second opening or passage can be made in this bottom, this opening possibly being extended by an element such as, for example, a tubular element, and also penetrating into the container, to ensure an air intake effect. .

 The wall allowing consumption can be fixed or, in other embodiments, retractable, in one piece or in several telescopic parts, so that it can be brought closer to the container and partially or completely retracted, in particular for transporting or storage.

 Said wall, which can be cylindrical or frustoconical, can, if necessary, be covered with one or more films which can be removed successively and allowing hygienic use for several people.

 In a particularly preferred embodiment, the device according to the invention comprises a plugging means preventing the drink from escaping.

 In a first embodiment, this plugging means can plug the mouth of the wall allowing consumption itself or even an opening in a bottom secured to said wall.

 In another embodiment, this sealing means can directly close the opening of the container.

 If necessary, this closure means can constitute the closure of the container from the start and, in this case, it can possibly be associated with a fracturable connection with the container to form a tamper-evident seal.

 As a variant, this closure means may be different from the original closure means; of the container and replace it after opening.

 The plugging means may be, for example, a pivoting cap capable of closing the opening or mouth of the wall in the form of a cup or, in particular when it is a box, capable of being folded down in the opening of the box.

 However, in a preferred embodiment, the closure means can be carried by the lower part of the mobile device between two positions, namely a lowered closure position and an elevated open position, the movement preferably taking place by rotation. Advantageously, this same movement can be used to simultaneously open or close an air intake passage.

 Thus, in this embodiment, the device may include a plugging and sealing element disposed on or introduced into the neck and comprising a passage for the drink and possibly a second passage, for example an elongated one, for the air intake. , while the wall allowing consumption has a bottom which can be moved towards or away from said piece to open or close said passages, this movement being able to be ensured by screwing or partial unscrewing thanks to an internally threaded skirt, integral with said wall, cooperating with an external thread presented either by the same neck of the bottle or bottle, or by an outer skirt of said piece, the latter then being itself fixed to the neck by clipping, screwing or any other means.

 In another embodiment of the invention, in particular applied to boxes, the peripheral wall, which is advantageously formed of a semi-rigid material, such as waxed cardboard, can be folded so as to cover hermetically and at a distance the above the box and arranged so that it can be unfolded to form the cup-shaped wall. The cup is preferably fixed with a hermetic baleen on the container from the outset by being folded, the arrangement advantageously allowing stacking of boxes provided with such a device.

 According to another embodiment, the peripheral wall can be elastically deformable by hand and the plugging means can comprise means for its actuation in the direction of the release of the opening by deformation of said wall.

 One can also consider a device having a peripheral wall, in the form of a cup wall, and a bottom provided with an opening, the internal diameter of the peripheral wall making it possible in particular to deliver the device forcibly engaged on the bottom of the container.

 In such a device, the edges of the opening made in the bottom can be arranged so as to form a means of uncapping or unscrewing intended to facilitate the opening of the means for closing the container, a screw cap or cap.

 In another embodiment, applied to flexible packaging, of the berlingot type or cardboard parallelepipedic packaging for milk or fruit juices, the device may include a means of perforating the packaging, which means is provided with flow means towards a cup and two peripheral projections coming to be disposed on either side of the perforation to ensure the fixing and the sealing around them by tightening its edges.

 First of all, reference is made to FIG. 1 which represents a device according to the invention, to be placed on the neck of a bottle.

 This comprises a first part formed by a part 1 which is introduced into the neck 2 of the bottle 3 and a second part formed by a part 4 which is screwed onto the neck 2 of the bottle.

 The first part 1 (see also FIG. 2) comprises a peripheral flange 5 by which said first part 1 rests on the edge 6 of the opening of the neck of the bottle. The first part I further comprises a cylindrical skirt 7 'which is forced into the neck 2 of the bottle and is applied hermetically against the inner wall of the neck. The cylindrical skirt 7 incorporates a tubular passage 8 which extends parallel to said cylindrical skirt 7 and over the entire length thereof and which extends upwards beyond the opening of the neck 2 of the bottle. The first part 1 also comprises a central conical closing needle 9 which is connected to the cylindrical skirt 7 by three radial arms 10 which are placed at regular angular intervals and extend on the same plane as the peripheral flange 5.

 This arrangement therefore provides three passages 11 for the liquid contained in the bottle 3.

 The second part 4 has a cylindrical lower skirt 12 which is screwed in the usual way on the neck 2 of the bottle and an upper part in the form of a cup 13. The bottom 14 of the cup 13 has a central opening 15 which extends towards the bottom vertically and then flared so that its flared wall 16 is parallel to the conical surface of the closing pin 9 and forms a seat for the latter.

 Between the conical surface of the closing needle 9 and the flared wall 16 of the central opening 15 is defined a space which is more or less important depending on the degree of screwing of the second part 4 on the neck 2 of the bottle. This space may be nonexistent, which then ensures the closure of the bottle.

 The bottom 14 further comprises an orifice 17 and, on its face facing the first part 1, a ramp 18, indicated in dashed lines, which cooperates with the upper end of the tubular passage 8, so as to close that -this or to place it opposite a passage 17 at the bottom to ensure an air intake.

 More specifically, the ramp 18 is formed by the bottom of a helical groove formed in the bottom wall 14 while the upper end of the extension containing the passage 8 is inclined parallel to the ramp 18.

 The tightness of the connection between the extension of the tubular passage 8 and the ramp 18 or the edges of the passage 17 formed at the top of the ramp 18 is ensured by a lip 19 which comes from molding with the extension of the tubular passage 8.

 The seal between the cylindrical skirt 12 and the neck 2 is ensured by a lip 20 coming from molding with the peripheral flange 5 of the part 1, which lip bears against the inner periphery of the cylindrical skirt 12.

 In the embodiment shown at A in FIG. 1, the cup 13 has a peripheral wall 21 which opens freely upwards and which forms one body with the bottom 14.

 In the embodiment shown in B in FIG. 1, the cup 13 has a retractable wall 22 in the direction of bringing the bottle 3 closer together.

 Finally, the first part 1 may optionally include, in the vicinity of the peripheral flange 5, a bent elastic tongue 23 which terminates in a groove 24 in the bottom 17 and which provides elastic resistance to screwing. Optionally, it can be placed circumferentially, the groove then being circular. In this case, the tongue 23 contributes to sealing or secures it, if necessary, in place of the lip 20.

 Reference is now made to FIG. 3 which represents another embodiment of a device according to the invention, which is intended to be placed on the neck of a bottle.

 This device differs from the previous one in that the tubular passage 25 is no longer opposite an air intake orifice 171 which is formed in the bottom of the cup, but is located in the vicinity of the closing needle 9. In in this case, the air intake is closed by a closing needle 26 which is carried by the first part 1 and which extends opposite and comes to be introduced into the orifice 17 'when the the second part 4 is sufficiently screwed onto the neck 2. The air intake can be closed before the flow opening 15 is closed, since the presence of an air intake is not essential for small flows.

 In this embodiment, the absence of the ramp 18 of the embodiment of FIG. 1 makes it possible to use a cup-shaped part 13 having a much finer bottom 27.

 We now refer to Figure 4.

 This represents a device formed from a single part having an internally threaded cylindrical skirt 28 which is intended for fixing the device to the neck of the container (not shown) and a cup-shaped part 29 provided with a bottom 291, which is surmounted in its center by a rectangular cage 30 pierced with orifices 31 at its six sides, for the passage of the liquid.

 Part of the bottom 29 ′ of the cup 29 forms the bottom of said cage 30 and the orifice 31 ′ which is formed therein has a spherical seat surface arranged so as to cooperate with a ball 32 placed in the cage 30 to ensure closure hermetic of said orifice 31 ′ when the device is in the position shown in FIG. 4.

 In addition, the bottom of the cup carries, directed opposite the cup, a tube 33 parallel to the skirt 28. The tube 33 constitutes an air intake.

 We now refer to FIG. 5 which represents another variant of a device for a bottle neck according to the invention.

 This device comprises a first part formed by a part 34 which is forced into the neck 2 of the bottle 3 and which comprises a peripheral flange 35 which comes to bear on the edge of the neck 2 of the bottle.

 The first part comprises a shoulder 36 directed towards the inside of the bottle and which is extended by a circular wall 37 pierced in its center with a hole 38 intended to receive a conical closing needle 39 and to guide it by means of two guides 40 arranged so as to prevent any rotation of the closing needle 39 and to limit the descent of said closing needle, which for this purpose comprises two pins 41.

 The device comprises a second part formed by a part 42 which is screwed, as before, on the neck 2 of the bottle and which is provided with an upper part in the form of a cup 43 with a bottom 44.

 The bottom 44 is provided with an opening 45 for the passage of the liquid contained in the container, which opening comprises a flaring 46 complementary to the taper of the closing needle 39 and is extended by a cylindrical skirt 47 which has lateral openings 48 for the passage of the liquid and which is provided with an internal thread 49 intended to cooperate with an external thread 50 of the closing needle 39, so that the direction of screwing of the device on the neck of the bottle is that of the screwing of the needle closing.

 The pitch of the thread 49, 50 is greater than that of the thread of the neck of the bottle. Given that the closing needle 39 is movable in translation upwards, it is understood that, when the device is screwed onto the neck, the closure of the container by the closing needle occurs very quickly.

 The circular wall 37 has openings 51 for the passage of liquid and air.

 We now refer to Figure 6.

 This device differs from that of FIG. 1, in particular by the fact that the part 1 is screwed hermetically onto the neck 2 of the bottle by a cylindrical skirt 52 on which is fixed, also by screwing, a cylindrical skirt 53 of the second part 4. The device therefore does not include the cylindrical skirt 7 of the device according to FIG. 1.

 The cylindrical skirt 52 is extended by a ribbed cylindrical section 54 intended to facilitate the screwing or unscrewing of the part 1. In addition, there is provided, between the lower skirt 53 of the cup and the ribbed section 54, a safety tab 55 fracturable, which forms a witness to inviolability.

 Referring now to Figure 7 which shows a device according to the invention which is arranged on the neck of a bottle having no thread, but a peripheral rib 56. This device can actually adapt to all types bottle necks.

 This device is formed of a first part formed of a part 57 comprising a cylindrical skirt 58 provided with an inner cylindrical wall 59 and, at a distance therefrom, from a slightly longer outer cylindrical wall 60.

 The wall 59 is arranged by means of a wise clip which comes to engage with the peripheral rib 56 of the neck 2 of the bottle 3, while the wall 60 is provided, at its lower part, with an external thread 61 which receives a clamping ring 62 intended to ensure the wise clip by ramp effect on said clipping means.

 The skirt 58 is extended, beyond the neck of the bottle, by a segment 63 which has a thread 64 at its periphery.

 The device comprises a second cup-shaped part 65 which is screwed onto the segment 63 via a cylindrical skirt 66, the segment 63 coming to be housed in an annular opening 67 formed in the bottom 68 of the part in cup shape 65.

 The device comprises means for sealing between the bottom 68 and the segment 63, preferably a lip coming from molding with the bottom 68, it being understood that there is also provided a sealing means (not shown) between the neck 2 and wall 59.

 The liquid and air flow means are identical to those described with reference to FIG. 1.

 Reference is now made to FIG. 8 which represents a device according to another embodiment of the invention.

 This device comprises a first part formed by a part 69 which is fixed to the neck 70 of the container by clipping and onto which a second cup-shaped part 71 is screwed.

 The part 69 has a circular wall 72 which is placed over the opening of the neck of the container. The cup-shaped part 71 has a bottom 73.

 The bottom 73 of the cup and the circular wall 72 of the part 69 each have a circular orifice, respectively 74, 75 (see also FIG. 9), of the same diameter, intended for the flow of the liquid when the device is in place, that is to say when the orifices are placed opposite one another. The bottom further comprises an orifice 76 of smaller diameter intended, when the device is in place, to come opposite a tubular passage 77 of the part 69, in order to form an air intake.

Between the bottom and the circular wall 72, seals are provided, for example a lip 78 coming from molding for the orifice 76 and the tubular passage 77 and an O-ring 78 'for the orifices 74, 75, which seals provide the tightness when the device is screwed on correctly.

 The cup-shaped wall has a cover 79 which seals its mouth and can seal the bottle-device assembly even when the passages 74, 75, 76, 77 are angularly separated.

 Sealing means (not shown) are also provided between the neck and the lower part.

 Referring now to Figures 10 and 11 which show an embodiment of a device intended to be fixed on a metal box.

 Beverage cans usually consist of a cylindrical stamped part 80 and an upper wall 81 which are connected to each other by stapling. This manufacturing method reveals a circular staple 82 at the top of these boxes.

The opening 83 provided on these boxes is generally pear-shaped and is closed by a tearable wall.

 The device according to the invention comprises a cylindrical wall 84 having a diameter substantially identical to that of the box. This cylindrical wall 84 comprises, at one of its ends, a clipping means 85 allowing the consumer to fix the device on the circular staple 82 and a sealing lip 85 'S t pressing on the wall 81.

 The other end of the cylindrical wall 84 constitutes the cup.

 The device further comprises a closure means constituted by a closure plug 86 intended to come to engage substantially in the pear-shaped opening after its cover has been torn. The closure plug 86 is connected to the cylindrical wall 84 by an arm 87 which is flexible enough to allow the box to be closed and opened.

 We now refer to Figure 12.

 This device differs from that shown in FIG. 10, in that it has an additional sealing means, namely a cover 88 intended to ensure the hermetic closure of the mouth of the cup-shaped wall. In this embodiment, the closure plug 86 is connected to the cover 88. Thus, the closing and opening of the box and the cup are done simultaneously. Preferably, the cover 88 comes from molding with the device.

 We now refer to Figure 13.

 This device is clipped substantially in the same way as in Figures 10 and 12.

 However, the wall 89 which forms the cup is substantially frustoconical, the smaller diameter end 90 being applied in a sealed manner on the lid 81 of the box, the upper half of the cup being formed of two successive retractable sections 91, 92 .

 Figures 14 and 15 show an economical device for a box. It can advantageously be fixed hermetically on the box from the start, which is an advantage in terms of hygiene.

 The device is formed by a cylinder 93 made of semi-rigid material, for example made of waxed cardboard, having a diameter substantially equal to that of the box 94, which allows it to be forcibly engaged around the circular staple 95 located at the upper part of box 94.

 The connection may be sealed due, advantageously, to the nature of the material constituting the cylinder or also to the presence, in addition, of sealing means.

 The part 96 of the cylinder which protrudes above the circular staple 95 can be folded so as to come substantially covering, at a distance, the top 99 of the box 94, by folding down, according to appropriate fold lines 97, the periphery of this part 96 of the cylinder in the direction of the axis thereof. An upper face is obtained, the sealing of which can, if necessary, be completed in the axis of the cylinder by any means.

 To drink, the user unfolds this upper face, for example by pulling on a tab 98 fixed in the vicinity of the center of said upper face. The part of the cylinder thus unfolded then forms the wall of a cup, the bottom of which is formed by the top 99 of the box. It remains to open the box itself. It is possible to provide a precut 100 of the cylinder 93 allowing part of it to be removed in order to gain easier access to the tearable wall 101 forming the closure of the box 94.

 One can also consider a cup of lesser height, the folding of such a cup leaving a hole in the axis of the cylinder, which can be closed, for example, by a disc-shaped piece to ensure the sealing.

 One can also consider mounting on the box a movable cylinder between a retracted position, along the box, and an extended position forming a cup. If necessary, sealing means can be provided between the cylinder and the box.

 FIG. 16 represents a device for a bottle that can be produced, advantageously in two pieces, a piece 105 in the form of a cup provided with a cylindrical skirt 106 coming to be screwed onto the neck of a bottle, not shown, the piece in the shape of a cup having a deformable wall 107 and a bottom 108 pierced with a frustoconical central opening 109 for the passage of the liquid contained in said bottle and a closure piece 110 of said frustoconical opening 109.

 The closing piece 110 is normally in the closed position of the frustoconical opening 109 of which it has the complementary profile at one of its ends 111. In addition, it comprises a deformable means 112 connected to the deformable wall 107 of the cup. 105, which deformable means 112, in the rest state, elastically applies the closure part 110, and more precisely its end 111, against the walls of the frustoconical opening 109. Appropriate pressure on said wall 107 causes the release of the opening 109 by deformation of the deformable means 112. The deformable means 112 may advantageously be formed by radial arms or also by a deformable membrane element pierced with flow orifices.

 FIG. 17 shows a device which is particularly suitable for being sold at the same time as a bottle 114 intended to receive it.

 The device is formed of a cup 115 comprising a cylindrical wall 116 of internal diameter substantially equal to the external diameter of the bottom 117 of the bottle 114 and a bottom 118 provided with a central opening 119.

 At its part facing the opening of the cup 115, the relief of the central opening 119 has a section 120 allowing it to be used as a bottle opener or as a means of unscrewing the means for closing the bottle.

 At its part opposite to the opening of the cup 115, the relief of the central opening has means 121 intended for screwing or for placing the device in force on the neck 122 of the bottle.

 At the point of sale, the cup is presented arranged on the bottom 117 of the bottle 114, by force engagement of the bottom 117 of the bottle 114 in the cup 115, a sheet 123 may be provided as a tamper-evident seal on the central opening 119.

 FIG. 18 represents a device intended for flexible packaging, of the carton type or parallelepipedic cardboard packaging for milk or fruit juices.

 The device is made in one piece and comprises a cup-shaped part 125 with or without a cover 126 and a cylindrical part 127 with a pointed end 128. The pointed end 128 has orifices 129 opening into the opening central 130 of the cylindrical part 127.

 The device is put in place by perforating the wall of the flexible packaging and the holding in place of the device as well as the seal at the level of the perforation are ensured by two circular projections 131 of the cylindrical part 127, which have on either side of said perforation, squeezing the edges thereof.

 In the case of flexible packaging of the parallelepipedic cardboard packaging type for milk or fruit juices, it is also possible to envisage using a spout-shaped wall glued or welded to said packaging, in particular at its side walls, and presented-folded above the opening of said packaging. This opening can advantageously be torn during the unfolding of the spout.

 Qn now refers to Figure 19.

 The metal boxes 135 are often sold in groups of several boxes, in particular by four, by being joined together by a strip 136 of plastic material forming rings 137 which enclose the peripheral wall of the box 135, near the circular stapling of the box. (Reference is advantageously made to FIG. 10 for the structure of such a box).

 As shown in FIG. 19, the ring 137 can be used as a wall allowing consumption, in particular by forming it so that it has a part 138 or 138 ′ which is wide enough to constitute such a wall. A precut 139 is provided for the strip so as to be able to remove a box 135 provided with a ring 137 from the set of boxes 135. The ring 137 is then unfolded by pulling it peripherally upwards so as to form the wall allowing consumption.

 We now refer to Figure 20.

 The reference 140 designates a plastic bottle obtained by a blowing process. The upper part of said bottle 140 is flat and has an opening 141 for the passage of the drink and a peripheral skirt 142 coming from molding with the rest of the bottle 140 and extending upwards the body of the latter.

 The bottle also has recesses 143 made during the blowing of the bottle and serving to facilitate its handling.

 The device according to the invention consists of a peripheral wall 144 provided with a cover 145 which comes in one piece with said wall 144, the articulation of the cover being made by means of a thinning 146 of material. The device also comprises a means 147 for plugging the opening 141 of the bottle 14Q. Said means 147, which is rigidly connected to the cover 145, is actuated by the opening and closing of said cover 145. One could also envisage a closure means coming in one piece with the upper wall of the bottle 140. This plugging means would normally be in the closed position of the opening 141 and would be brought into the release position relative to this opening by the elastic deformation of said plugging means, by the user acting on a projecting part of said means.

 The device is fixed in a sealed manner to the bottle by clipping 148 of the peripheral wall 144 and of the skirt 142. It is of course possible to envisage any other suitable waterproof fixing means and, possibly, that the peripheral wall and the skirt are one and the same part, the bottle-device assembly being in this case made in one piece.

 It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described and shown, but encompasses the variants which are within the reach of specialists.

CLAIMS.  1. Device for the consumption of beverages in a container provided with an opening, characterized in that it has a wall (21, 22, 84, 89, 93, 107, 116, 125) allowing consumption and opening freely upwards and, in connection with the lower part of said wall, fixing means (12, =, 59, 85, 106, 121, 131) on said container around its opening as well as means ensuring sealing between said device and the container, around said opening.  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the wall allowing consumption is a peripheral wall in the form of a cup.  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the sealing means comprise a seal or sealing lip.  4. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the seal is ensured by the fixing means itself.  5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it is hermetically fixed on the container from the start.  6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it is delivered separately and attached to the container by the consumer.  7.
