Fig. 2 eine Unteransicht zu Fig. 1,
Cap closure for bottles with an outwardly protruding bead on the mouth edge
The invention relates to a cap closure for bottles with an outwardly protruding rim bead on the mouth edge, behind which a rim bead engages on the circumferential wall of the cap made of elastically stretchable material, a ring attached to this wall being provided.
Cap closures of this type are known in many designs, the ring surrounding the cap circumferential wall usually not being reusable after loosening and the cap no longer allows the bottle to be closed pressure-tight against internal pressure (carbonic acid) after removing part of the bottle contents.
The purpose of the invention is to remedy this disadvantage and to create a cap closure which enables a bottle to be closed in a pressure-tight manner, even after it has been temporarily opened.
In the cap closure according to the invention, the ring on its inner wall and the cap on its circumferential wall are provided with rib-like projections which are in engagement with one another in the circumferential direction or running inclined to the same.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the cap closure according to the invention are shown, namely:
1 shows the closure cap according to the first embodiment, partly in section, attached to the annular bead at the mouth of a bottle neck,
FIG. 2 shows a bottom view of FIG. 1,
3 shows, partly in section, partly in elevation, a ring applied to the circumferential wall of the closure cap according to FIG. 1,
FIG. 4 is a plan view of the ring according to FIG. 3,
5 shows a side view of the closure cap according to the second exemplary embodiment and
6 shows a ring to be used with the cap according to FIG. 5, partly in section, partly in view.
The drawn in Figs. 1 and 2, made of elastically stretchable material, for. B. metal or polyethylene made cap 1 has a peripheral wall 2 with a thickening 3 at its lower edge. The circumferential wall 2, which widens conically towards the edge, has on its outside three rib-like projections 4 which are parts of a ring extending in the circumferential direction.
A ring 5 (FIGS. 3 and 4) made of polyvinyl chloride, which is less elastic than the material of the cap 1, can be fitted tightly to the circumferential wall 2 of the cap 1, the conical circumferential wall thereof narrowing and the thickening 3 behind the annular bead 6 is pressed at the mouth edge of the bottle 7 to be closed. The top wall of the cap 1 is thereby pressed tightly against the mouth of the bottle neck.
To secure the ring 5 to the cap 1, two sets of three rib-shaped projections 8 are provided on the inner wall of the ring, which can be brought behind the projections 4 of the cap circumferential wall by axially sliding and rotating the ring 5. The ring 5 can thus be attached to the cap 1 again at any time after it has been removed in order to close the bottle tightly again after this cap 1 has been temporarily loosened.
To facilitate the turning of the ring 5, it is provided with ribs 9 on the circumference.
Instead of the circumferential rib-like projections 4 and 8 on the cap 1 or on the ring 5, projections 10 in the form of a multiple thread on the cap 1 'and grooves 11 on the ring 5' could also be arranged according to FIGS .
The connection of the ring to the cap could also be made by a bayonet lock between the two.
A sterilizable material is advantageously used for the cap.
The application of the closure cap on a bottle and the ring on the cap can be carried out using existing machines or by hand.
No tools such as keys, etc. are required to open the closure, since after removing the ring by hand, the cap can also be lifted off the bottle by hand using a rag on the same.
In addition, by attaching the ring to the cap, which has been pressed onto the bottle, it can be sealed again at any time.
