Insulating tube and process for its manufacture. B. to protect hot water pipes from central heating systems, hot water and steam pipes, but also coolant pipes in buildings against heat loss, it is known to use insulating pipes, which consist of a short jacket pipe that coaxially with a space between a heat transfer:
rrohr encloses, whereby the space between the two pipes contains a heat-insulating material in which the heat-trägzrrohr is thermally insulated and embedded in a shockproof manner.
The laying of long-distance lines for heat carriers in the terrain, on the other hand, has so far mostly been carried out in auxiliary cement ducts that were previously created at great expense and effort, because such long-distance lines require particularly careful thermal insulation and, moreover, perfect moisture protection.
The present invention aims to create an insulating pipe in which the jacket pipe, heat transfer pipe and insulation represent a composite structure and which can be laid quickly and easily directly into the ground without auxiliary ducts.
For this purpose, the insulating tube according to the invention is characterized in that the jacket tube is formed by a steam-tight, seamless armored tube of fabrication length and the gap is homogeneously and seamlessly filled by a self-adhesive polyurethane foam body foamed in the gap, which is filled with the Armored pipe and the heat transfer pipe forms a unit.
Such armored pipes are made of tough polyethylene, are commercially available in lengths of 6 to 12 m and can be used immediately and unchanged for the production of insulating pipes according to the invention without any special measures, which is one reason for the low production costs of such insulating pipes . These lengths are also advantageous when laying long-distance lines because they port without complicating the transport and handling of the pipes, keeping the number of connections to be made at the installation site low.
The invention also relates to a method for producing such an insulating tube, which is characterized in that a heat transfer tube is inserted coaxially into a seamless armored tube of manufacturing length and held in this position, so that there is an annular gap between the two tubes arises, and that a homogeneous and seamless filling is created in this gap by foaming self-adhesive polyurethane foam injected in liquid form in this gap in one operation.
An example embodiment of an inven tion insulating tube is shown in the accompanying drawing, based on which Idas also subject of the invention forming Ver drive for the production of this insulating tube in the fol lowing will be explained in more detail. It shows: FIG. 1 a partial length of the insulating tube in side view and FIG. 2 a cross section through the tube along the line II-II of FIG.
The insulating tube shown consists of a heat transfer pipe 1, which is arranged coaxially in a commercially available, seamless, vapor-tight armored pipe 2, preferably made of plastic, the inside diameter of which exceeds the outside diameter of the heat transfer device 1 by a multiple and the length of which exceeds the manufacturing length .these pipes, usually between 6 and 12 m,: corresponds.
The annular gap 3 remaining between the pipe 1 and the armored tube 2 is homogeneously and seamlessly filled with a self-adhesive polyurethane foam body foamed in this gap, which is attached to both the inner wall of the armored tube 2 and the outside wall of the heat transfer pipe 1 adheres.
Heat transfer pipe 1, insulation body and Pan zerrohr 2 form a unit, whereby the double jacket, the heat transfer pipe 1 or its contents is optimally insulated from the outside and shock-protected and the unit is also vapor-tight thanks to the seamless design of the armored pipe 2.
Such an insulating pipe: is therefore particularly suitable for hot water pipes, warm water heating pipes, but also for coolant pipes and steam pipes, provided that in the latter case the steam temperature is not higher than is permissible for the foam body which surrounds the heat transfer pipe 1.
It is also noteworthy that there are no parts anywhere that could form heat and / or sound bridges between the heat transfer pipe 1 and the armored pipe 2.
A preferred method for producing the insulating tube shown is that a heat transfer pipe is pushed coaxially into a seamless armored pipe of factory length, spacers 4 that are previously pushed onto the heat transfer pipe at intervals, preferably self-locking on the walls of this pipe and that are in friction connection with both pipes , ensure the correct position of the heat transfer pipe within the armored pipe.
These spacers 4, the design of which can of course differ in many ways from that of the example shown, are made of heat-insulating material (e.g. plastic or ceramic) so that they do not create any thermal bridges between the heat transfer tube and the armored tube.
The spacer 4 shown for example comprises the heat carrier pipe 1 with a triangular shape in such a way that it rests with the triangular sides on the heat carrier pipe 1, with approximately radially extending struts with their free ends on the inner surface of the armored pipe 2 at the triangle points.
The self-adhesive polyurethane foam is then injected into intermediate space 3 of the skeleton prepared in this way: from Aden parts 1, 2 and 4 from one end of the pipe in a single operation, for example by means of nozzle systems in a known manner Hardening in room 3 expands and creates its joint-free, homogeneous filling of this space. Foams of this type are currently available in stores that can withstand temperatures of up to 130 C without damage.
The spacers 4 are here also completely encapsulated in the foam, with the exception of their location surfaces, which are kept as small as possible, on the inner walls of the armored pipe 2 or on the outer walls of the heat transfer pipe 1.
So that the foaming by means of plastic foam can take place evenly from one end of the pipe, the spacers 4 must of course be perforated at least in the axial direction of the pipe.
Longer pipes can be made by foaming the plastic from both ends. If the pipes are of such a length that a homogeneous filling is not guaranteed even in this way, then additional foam can be foamed in through openings made for this purpose in the armored pipe in the middle section.
