Description
.a.,... v.. - , _i -1-"- - .
Plate for the formation of insulating layers: in structures with curved surfaces,. . especially pipelines. In order to insulate structures with curved surfaces, in particular pipelines, the following has been used up to now: the insulating material in the form of ribbons, braids, etc. to:
the parts to be insulated are wound, or a casing was attached around the parts and the space between casing and surface of the part in question was filled with loose insulation material such as textile fiber waste, glass wool, etc. The production of such insulation is expensive and requires a considerable amount of work.
On the other hand, insulating panels are used in particular made of wood fiber material in very large quantities to isolate structures provided with flat surfaces, such as rooms.
The inventor has now set himself the task of solving these plates, previously only used for the insulation of flat surfaces, for the insulation of structures with a curved surface, in particular from Rnhrlnihinra *, 7n trn.r, xrnr in a surprisingly simple manner by According to the invention, the plate is provided with parallel grooves for this purpose, which allow the plate to be inserted into the structure,
For example, to bend the jacket shape to match the outside diameter of the pipeline.
Embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the accompanying drawing, in which Fi.g. 1 shows the insulating plate in a view and FIG. 2 shows a section along line II-II in FIG.
Fig. 3 shows the insulating plate of Fig. 1 bent around a pipe in section.
Fig. 4 shows a plate in section with a modified groove profile, and Fig. 5 shows a piece of the plate according to Fig. 4 in the bent state.
With 1 the plate is designated, which ziun example made of wood fiber material, as they "" + .. .a., ... v .. - , _i -1 - "- - < / B>. _, .., and have good insulating properties.
The plate is provided with grooves 2 running parallel to one another, as shown in FIG. 2, with a rectangular cross-section which enables the plate 1 to be bent around a pipe 3, for example. The spacing of the grooves 2 from one another and the width of the grooves are expediently chosen so that the grooves close on the inner part in the curved shape of the plate. The depth of the grooves 2 is selected according to the resistance which the plate 1 opposes to bending.
If it is desired that the grooves close along their entire length when bending, they can be designed in a wedge or triangle shape, as shown for the grooves 2 'in FIG. Fig. 5 shows a piece of the curved plate .dar with closed grooves.
The grooves can also be given a trapezoidal profile, so that they only close on their inside when bent, while an air duct remains at the bottom of the grooves, which also contributes to the insulation.
These insulating plates quickly enable inexpensive insulation of structures with a curved surface, in particular to produce pipelines that are characterized by very good thermal protection. For example, a 13 mm thick Treetex panel offers the same protection against cold and heat as a 27 cm thick brick wall.
