lesquels pour voient au verrouillage de cette came après chaque déplacement angulaire de 1800 de celle-ci et simulta nément à l'actionnement de deux dispositifs d'em brayage qui interrompent toute liaison cinématique entre cette came et son moteur d'entraînement dans l'une comme dans l'autre position de verrouillage. Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'objet de la présente invention la fig. 1 en est une élévation de côté en coupe partielle ;
The present invention relates to an electro-telephone with pre-selection of discs, comprising at least one loader for the discs, at least one arm articulated on a support and carrying at least one reading head, means for selecting and to locate in said loader a determined disc, means for gripping the localized disc making it possible to bring this disc within reach of a device for driving in rotation and of said read head or to bring it back into the loader, means for training the disc to be played,
means for controlling a relative movement of the loader and of the support arranged so that the selected and located disc is within range of said gripping means ,. once said relative displacement is completed, and finally, means for driving the arm from a rest position to a second position, for which the tip of the head engages in the groove of the disc to be played and vice versa,
in which said gripping means and those for controlling said arm are actuated by a same cam having a closed groove surrounding its axis of rotation and with which are engaged two slides, one of which controls the movement of the arm and the other the gripping and transport of the selected and located disc to its drive device.
Electrophones of this type are already known, in which the locking of the cam during the relative movement of the loader and the support as well as during the listening of the chosen disc is carried out, on the one hand using a wheel to ratchet, wedged on the axis of this cam and with which a pawl engages when the cam is driven in a determined direction and, on the other hand, by means of an electromagnetically operated lock cooperating with two notches made on the edge of the cam in two diametrically opposed places.
In these electrophones, the direction of rotation of the axis on which the cam is set must be modified when it comes to interrupting the relative movement of the support and the charger, that is to say as soon as the disc selected is located and that this cam must be driven: this is obtained by changing the direction of rotation of a single motor controlling the relative displacement of the loader and the support and the angular displacement of the cam.
These electrophones further include a second motor, for driving the turntable carrying the disc to. listen, which is actuated by the latch for locking the cam before starting to listen to the disc, the first motor to be triggered simultaneously.
The present invention proposes to eliminate one of these motors, the -motor remaining in front to see to the training of all the moving parts of the recorder.
For this purpose, the recorder according to the invention, which is of the type described above, is characterized by the fact that the cam has on its edge a notch in which are likely to be -enga gés alternately two movable worm parts. , diametrically opposed,
which to see to the locking of this cam after each angular displacement of 1800 thereof and simultaneously to the actuation of two clutch devices which interrupt any kinematic connection between this cam and its drive motor in one as in the other locking position. The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention, FIG. 1 is a side elevation in partial section;
fig. 1a is a detail view of FIG. 1, on a larger scale, and FIG. 2, a plan view; fig. 3 is a section along III-III of FIG. 1; fig. 4, a section along IV-IV of FIG. 1, on a larger scale; fig. 5 is an elevational view of an alternative embodiment.
The recorder represented is fixed by a base plate 1 on the bottom 2 of a case, partially. visible in the drawing.
It comprises a carriage 3 resting on this base by two pairs of rollers 4 and 5, directly by the first, and by means of an angle 6, by the second. A pair of horizontal rollers 7 rolling inside a U-shaped section 8, fixed on the base 1 parallel to the angle iron 6; ensures the guiding of the carriage 3 during its movement perpendicular to the plane of FIG. 1.
The left end 1a of the base 1 is, moreover, folded back parallel to the angle iron 6 to form therewith a housing for a removable magazine 9 for the discs d comprising a series of arches 10 intended for the lateral support of the discs.
The disc preselection device is formed by two superimposed series of rods 11 and 12 each carrying a head 13. The rods 11 and 12 extend in the same vertical plane corresponding to the same disc d; these various rods are mounted to slide in the openings 1b and 6b, 1c and 6c of the angles 1a and 6, and are intended to cooperate, in the depressed position, with two feelers 36 and 37 forming part of the selection device described in the Swiss patent NI, 396440.
The rods 11 and 12 constitute the memory of the recorder and are equal in number to twice that of the disks capable of being inserted between the arches 10. In fact, when a pin 11 is pushed, the recorder will select the record. corresponding and will play only the front, while, when it is a rod 12 which is inserted, this recorder will play the other side.
On the carriage 3 is mounted a motor 14 intended to drive this carriage in front of the disc store, to control the removal of the selected disc by a member 15 and to drive this disc in front of two read heads 16a, only one of which is shown and which has a double pick-up arm 16 mounted oscillating on the carriage.
This carriage is driven in the embodiment shown with the aid of an endless rack 17 and a pinion 18.
The rack 17 has two segments parallel to the section 8, which are connected to each other by semi-circular segments; it is articulated at 17a by legs 17b on lugs 1d, projecting from the base 1, so as to be able to tilt in a vertical plane. In its middle part, the mesh 17 has a rib 17c, with which a finger 18a protrudes from the lower face of the pinion 18 cooperates.
This pinion 18 is fixed to the lower end of a vertical shaft 19 pivoted in a sleeve 20 fixed to the carriage 3, the upper end of this shaft having a toothed wheel 21 with which two planet wheels mesh 22a </ I> and 22b engaged, on the other hand, with a second wheel 23.
The satellites 22a and 22b are pivoted on axes not shown, perpendicular to the shaft 19 and fixed on a support 24a, mounted idle on the sleeve 20, in two Corresponding openings made in a toothed plate 24 secured to this support. This plate meshes with a worm 25.
The cam 26 has on its edge a pure cutout 26a (fig. 2) and on its lower face a groove 27 formed of two semi-circular segments 27a and 27b, the first of which extends concentrically to the cam, over 1800 , and the second, which is of greater radius, connects the two ends of segment 27a.
In the cutout 26a, which is on the axis of symmetry of the groove 27a and 27b is likely to be engaged a finger 28a fixed to the end of a locking bar 28 slidably mounted under the carriage 3 between rollers 29. This bar 28 is intended to lock the cam 26 in the position of FIG. 2.
The other end of the bar carries a beak 28b capable of being inserted into one of the openings 6a presented by the angle iron 6 to the right of each pair of openings 6b and 6c. The introduction of the spout 28b into an opening 6a produces the locking of the carriage 3 in a determined position, corresponding to the position on the magazine of the selected disc, by pushing in one or the other of the rods 11 and 12 , or even by simultaneous insertion of the two rods of the same disc.
The bar 28 works, as described in Swiss patent N 396440, in cooperation with feelers 36 and 37, articulated between lugs 35a and 35b that the slide 33 presents and which pass through a window 28c cut in this bar (fig. 4).
This bar 28 has two ears 28d, between which is slidably mounted a rod 31 which a spring 32, stretched between the right lug 28d and a stop 31a integral with this rod, tends to move towards the left in the drawing.
The force capable of being developed by this res sort is greater than that exerted on the bar 28 by two springs 30a and 30b which are intended to drive this bar to the left, so as to engage the spout 28b in the one of the openings 6a.
The rod 31 bears by its end against the end part 36c of the lever 36, when the latter is in its rest position, so that the bar 28 locks the cam 26 by the finger 28a; during the tilting of one of the probes, the bar 28 is, on the contrary, moved to the left under the action of the springs 30a and 30b and locks the carriage 3 to the loader with its other finger 28b; the cam 26 is then free and can begin its rotational movement.
So that the differential of the recorder is not driven while listening to a record, that is to say while the cam 26 and the slider 33 must remain stationary, the described recorder has a device for clutch visible in fig. 2. This device comprises the worm 25 previously indicated which has an axial housing in which is sliding a rod 50 and a spring 51 which tends to push it downward in the drawing, the upper end of which carries a plate 50a. provided with a pin 50b slidably mounted in a radial slot provided by a plate 25a integral with this screw 25.
The upper end of the spindle 50b is capable of being carried in the action zone of a stop 52a which has a return pulley 52 connected to the motor 14 by a belt 52b. The assembly is arranged so that, when the rod 50 occupies a position shown in the drawing, the pulley 52 drives this rod and the worm 25 while, when the rod 50 is moved downwards, by the action of the res exit 51, the screw is no longer driven.
The rod 50 is held in the clutch position by the arm 53a of a rocker arm 53 pivoted at 53b and the other arm 53c of which is in contact by an intermediate roller with the edge of the cam 26, at a location diametrically opposite to the rusting worm finger 28a.
When the cam 26 has rotated 1801, and its cutout 26a is in front of the roller of the rocker arm 53c, the latter rocks counterclockwise by an amount sufficient to allow the pin 50b of the rod 50 no longer to be in engagement with the stop 42a: this spindle is then no longer driven, as is the worm 25, and the cam 26 is angularly locked by the rocker arm.
At this time, the slider 33 and the slider 34 both occupy their extreme left position and the arm 16 begins playing the selected recording.
When the listening of this recording is finished, that is to say that the arm 16 is in its lowest position, this arm comes into contact. by its rear part with a beak 54a of a lever 54 articulated vertically on the carriage 3 and of which an arm 54b maintains, by a cutout made on its lower edge, the end of an L-shaped lever 55 subjected to a spring of return 56. The force produced by this spring is greater than that developed by the res out 51 of the rod 50.
The entry into contact of the pick-up arm 16 with the spout 54a causes the lever 54 to tilt clockwise and the release of the lever 55 including the. The shorter arm then comes to rest, under the action of the spring 56, against an arm 53d of the rocker 53.
The action of the spring 56, transmitted to the rocker by lever 55, is sufficient as described to rock this rocker arm in the clockwise direction against the spring 51 by a sufficient amount so that the pin 50b, associated with the rod 50, engages with the projection 52a of the cam 52; da screw 25 is therefore driven again at the end of listening to a side .du chosen disc.
The cam 26 continues its revolution and returns the slides 33 and 34 to their extreme right position; the slide 34 pushing the lever 55 back into its armed position, against its spring 56, this will not have the effect of causing the disengagement again since, as soon as the roller of the arm 53c can no longer penetrate in the cutout 26a of the cam, the clutch will remain locked.
Listening to a disc can also be interrupted by horizontal pulling on a pull tab 57 causing a lever 58 to swing, which causes the lever 54 to rotate clockwise by acting on its branch 54c.
The electro-telephone shown operates in the following manner After pushing in one or more rods 11 and 12 and starting up the motor 14, the carriage 3 starts to move since the cam is locked and moves until that one of the sensors 36 or 37 meets the first of these rods; when this happens, the carriage and the wheel 18 are locked while the cam 26 becomes free to begin its rotation. This cam controls the movement of two slides 33 and 34; guided in their rectilinear movement by studs 33c and 34b (FIG. 2) and which are arranged on either side of the cam 26, in the extension of one another.
Each slide is, in fact, kinematically connected to the cam 26 by engagement, in the groove 27, of a stud 33a, 34a respectively. The locking finger 28a of the bar 28 passes through an opening 33b of the slide 33.
During the first and last quarter of rotation of the cam 26, the slider 33 is first driven to the left and is then returned to the right while the slider 34, which is engaged with the part 27a of the groove 27 remains stationary: During the second and third quarter of rotation of the cam 26 it is, on the other hand, the slider 33 which remains stationary and the slider 34 which moves in a back-and-forth movement. is coming.
It should be noted, however, that the rotation of the cam 26 is interrupted by the locking device 53 after the latter has: performed a half-turn.
During the first part of the movement of the slide 33, this element controls the following functions Transport of the selected disc from the loader 10 on the listening plate, not shown in the drawing, by rotation of the member 15 controlled by the engaged fork 33d with an arm 15a of this organ; transfer to the rest position of the button 11 and 12 corresponding to the selected disc; application of the pick-up arm to the side of the selected disc ; control of the direction of rotation of this disc with respect to the reading head 16a.
The positioning of this arm is controlled by a rod 41 mounted parallel to the slides 33 and 34 between pairs of rollers 42 pivoted on the carriage 3.
The right end of this rod 41 is integral with a switching blade 43 applied to an electrical contact 43a as long as this rod is in the position shown in the drawing, which takes place when a key 11 is actuated. , and pushed towards a second contact 43b when the rod 41 is moved to the left. The blade 43 and the contacts 43a and 43b are the elements of a reversing switch intended to modify the power supply of the motor 14, which is double wound, so as to vary the direction of rotation.
Indeed, as long as the rod 41 is in the position of FIG. 2, the blade 43 cooperates with the contact 43a and the motor 14 drives any disc placed on the support S in a determined direction: the pick-up arm 16 is then in contact with the front of this disc. When, on the contrary, it is a rod 12 which is selected and the end of the rod 39 protrudes from the surface of the slide 33, the rod 41 drives the blade 43 on the contact 43b.
The motor then rotates in the opposite direction to the first, so as to allow reading of the back of the disc.
During the displacement of the slide 34 to the left, that is to say during the second quarter of rotation of the cam 26, the pins 47 come to be placed opposite the cutouts 46a of the plate 46, so that the 'one or the other of the pick-up points carried by each of the branches of the arm 16 can be applied to one or the other of the faces of the disc, depending on the position of the bar 41 and the action of the spring double 44.
At the end of this movement, the cam 26 is blocked by engagement of the roller 53e of the lever 53 in the notch 26a (FIG. 2); the previously described clutch device connecting pulley 52 and screw 25 thus separates the differential from the drive motor. It is then that the selected disc begins to play, which is driven by the intermediary of the pulley 14c, the belt 14b and the pulley 14a by the motor 14. This drive is carried out as indicated in the Swiss patent < B> 361671.
Once the disc is played, and the lever 53 has returned to its initial position, the cam 26 can begin to perform its third quarter turn and return the slide 34 to its right limit position. The arm 16 is then brought by the rod 48 into a raised position allowing it to carry out a new disc reading.
During the last quarter of rotation of the cam 20, the slide 33 is returned to its starting position. This has the effect of controlling the tilting of the member 15 which brings the listened disc back into the magazine 9 and of moving back, in the unlocked position, the bar 28, by putting the spring 32 under tension. The finger 28a is thus brought into contact with the edge of the cam 26 and engages in the notch 26a of this cam as soon as the latter has finished its rotational movement on itself.
All the parts thus return to their position illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 and the carriage 3 is again driven in search of the disc which is to be played, provided of course that other keys have also been pressed.
In a first variant embodiment (FIG. 5), the driving of the cam 26 or of the axis 19 by the plate 24 is produced by a clutch with two helical springs 60 and 61 fixed at one end to the plate 25. As shown, this plate is provided on either side of its surface with two cylindrical projections 24 'and 24 "extending in the extension of a corresponding projection 26' presented by the upper face of the cam 26 and d. 'a bearing surface 19' of the pin 19. The latter is also provided at its end with a head 19 "against which the spring 60 bears.
The motor 14 is a reversing motor by switching its stator windings carried out by means of a double contact switch 57.
The two springs 60 and 61 are wound in different directions so that, when the motor rotates in a determined direction, the plate 24 drives the cam 26 by clamping the spring 61 around the parts 26 'and 24 "while, when the motor rotates in the opposite direction, this plate drives the axis 19 by clamping the spring 60 around the parts 24 'and 19'.
It is therefore sufficient to slave the switch 57 to the finger 28a, so that the motor 14 rotates in a determined direction as long as the cam 26 is locked and that this motor has its direction of operation reversed as soon as the nozzle 28b enters a opening 6a of the angle iron 6, so as to drive the cam 26.
As a variant, the carriage of the recorder could be replaced by a rotary plate moving in the center of an annular magazine, carrying all the elements described and directly secured to the axis 19, the rack 17 and the pinion 18 then being deleted.
