Composite panel The invention aims to provide a composite panel that is particularly suitable for. Lining walls or ceilings is suitable and looks like a wooden panel, but unlike such is fireproof.
The composite panel according to the invention is characterized by a base plate consisting of an asbestos and cement-containing mixture, to which light metal plates are glued on both sides, which are thinner than the base plate, and a plywood covering glued to one of the light metal plates, the outside with a is provided with a fire-retardant coating.
In the single figure of the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the composite panel according to the invention is shown in section.
The composite plate shown has a base plate 1 consisting of an asbestos-cement mixture, to which thin aluminum plates 2 and 3 are glued on both sides. On the outside of the aluminum plate 3, a plywood covering 4 is glued on, which is provided on the outside with a coating 5 of fire retardant paint, for. B. from the paint available under the brand name D-D-Lack in trade. The individual layers of the United composite plate can, for. B. have the following thickness: The base plate 1 about 15 mm, the aluminum plates 2 and 3 each about 0.5 mm, the z. B. three-layer plywood covering about 3 mm.
The thickness of the lacquer coating, which is preferably produced by painting it three times, is negligible, for example on the order of 0.1 mm.
The present composite panel, which is intended in particular to be used as a wall or ceiling panel with plywood facing away from the wall or ceiling, has the great advantage of being fireproof over a conventional wooden panel whose appearance it has. If the plywood covering is heated locally, the D-D varnish on its surface forms a foam-like crust that can be up to about 5 mm thick and largely prevents the covering from burning.
The aluminum plates 2 and 3 not only stiffen the base plate 1, which is not very strong from a mechanical point of view, but also ensure good lateral heat dissipation, that is to say for a distribution of heat acting locally on the composite plate. In addition, tests have shown that with the adhesives available, such as glue, synthetic resins and the like, a more solid connection of the plywood covering 4 with the base plate 1 is obtained by using the intermediate plate 3 made of aluminum or another light metal than with direct gluing of the plywood covering to the base plate.
The thinner light metal plates 2 and 3 have other advantages: as well as the base plate 1 and the plywood covering 4, they allow the composite panel to be nailed on and easily cut or sawed. Nevertheless, they give the base plate 1 sufficient support in order to be able to grind the outside of the plywood surface 4 flat before painting the varnish 5 during the production of the composite panel, which is important for the beautiful look of the panel.
It is clear that when using the composite panel described, the main security against the spread of a. Damage fire through the base plate 1 is guaranteed, since the fire resistance of an asbestos @ - cement mixture is known. It should also be mentioned that this mixture does not necessarily have to consist exclusively of asbestos and cement, as fillers may be added. are permitted.
Furthermore, the composite panel does not necessarily have to be flat, as curved panels may be desirable in special cases, e.g. B. vault to cover Ge.
If you want to use the composite panel for the production of doors, it is advisable to also attach a plywood covering (such as 4) to the aluminum panel 2, which is also provided with a coating of fire-retardant paint (such as 5) on the outside.
