Description
Hard foam laminated panels with vapor barrier Hard foam laminated panels are known to consist of a core layer made of Styrofoam or the like and a coating on one or both sides with a wood wool cement mixture. These hard foam laminated panels are often used in building engineering, primarily to achieve thermal insulation.
The plaster can easily be applied to these rigid foam laminated panels, as there is an excellent connection option.
With different types of construction (e.g. exposed concrete, interior insulation) or with higher relative humidity, it is desirable or even necessary to ensure that the vapor diffusion from the inner wall side to the outer wall is prevented in order to prevent moisture accumulation in the outer wall and the to prevent the inevitably associated structural damage.
Up to now this has been achieved by gluing a suitable foil (aluminum, polyethylene foil) onto the built-in thermal insulation material. This resulted in the disadvantage of having to apply a plaster base to the film, since the surface of these films is too smooth to be able to serve as a plaster base. The subsequent gluing of the film and the application of the additional plaster base meant complicating the construction and the individual work processes on the building and thus a significant increase in costs.
In the case of a rigid foam layer board, consisting of a core layer made of rigid polystyrene foam and a coating on one or both sides with a wood-wool cement mixture, the invention proposes that a thin layer that acts as a vapor barrier is introduced between the foam plastic layer and a wood wool cement layer. This layer can consist of metal or plastic. As oxidation protection for metal foils, known plastic paints, polyethylene or bitumen materials can be used.
The layer effective as a vapor barrier can be a film coated with an adhesive on at least one side, or it can be formed by a closed plastic coating.
The invention creates a building board that combines four essential properties: 1. It is a highly effective insulation; 2. it is a safe vapor barrier; 3. it bonds perfectly to fresh concrete or an adhesive mortar on its back; 4. It is an excellent plaster base.
The invention is illustrated by way of example in the drawing. The plate has, in a known manner, an inner core 1 made of rigid polystyrene foam and a coating on one or both sides 2, 3 made of a wood-wool cement mixture.
Between the foam layer 1 and the wood-wool cement layer 2, a film 4 acting as a vapor barrier or a corresponding plastic coating is applied. If a metal foil is used, it is previously coated with a known oxidation protection, for example plastic paint, and coated with an adhesive at least on one side which is opposite the foam plastic layer before being incorporated into the rigid foam layer board.
Since the wood wool cement layer is freely applied to the film in a fresh, ie wet state during the manufacture of this board and sets under pressure, there may be no need for a sticker on the second side of the film.
