Pivot bearings for pivoting or turning window sashes in steel windows The invention relates to steel windows in which the frames consist of steel tubes with a square or rectangular cross-section and which are clad or coated with a thermoplastic.
When assembling the pivot bearing parts required for the window, it is important that the plastic casing remains as intact as possible or that a cut open area can be hermetically sealed again with the plastic in order to prevent moisture from penetrating the steel pipes and thus rust to prevent education. In such steel windows, in addition to the fixed frame and the sash frame, an intermediate profile frame is required, which is ge separates at the mounting points of the pivot bearing.
In a pivoting window is the above be sensitive part of the intermediate profile frame with the sash, the lower part of the intermediate profile frame with the fixed frame firmly verbun the, as is known in the known blow bars of a wooden window. The two halves of the pivot bearing are firmly connected to the intermediate profile frame parts in the case of the pivoting window as well as the turning window.
In order to connect the ends of the intermediate profile parts mitred under 45o to the pivot bearing well and tightly and at the same time to have the possibility of hermetically sealing the profile pieces open to the bearing in the simplest way with plastic plates, the pivot bearing is designed according to the invention that its surface sits at right angles enclosing flat surfaces be.
With the surfaces of the two bearing halves of the pivot bearing enclosing a right angle, it fits exactly between the miter surfaces of the intermediate profile parts. The new external shape of the pivot bearing has the further advantage that a pivot bearing with the same dimensions for windows of different sizes, i. This means that it can be used for intermediate profile tubes of different depths.
The design of the pivot bearing per se does not matter for the present invention, because the invention is one of all known types. Rotary bearing can be used for pivoting or turning leaves.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a vertical section through the lateral intermediate profile tube of a pivoting window with a built-in pivot bearing. The section runs along the line AB in FIG. 2.
FIG. 2 shows a horizontal cross section along the line CD in FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 corresponds to Fig. 1, with the difference that the pivot bearing is installed between deep intermediate profile tubes.
FIG. 4 shows a cross section along the line EF in FIG. 1.
In the example shown, the stationary frame consists of a tube 1 which is rectangular in cross section and which is provided with a covering made of thermoplastic material 2. In the same way, the vent frame consists of a tube 3 with a rectangular cross-section and a plastic cover 4. The intermediate profile frame in turn consists of a steel tube 5 with a plastic cover 6.
In egg nem pivot window, the upper part of the intermediate profile 5, 6 is firmly connected to the sash, while the fixed frame is firmly connected to the lower part 5a, 6 of the intermediate profile frame.
In the example shown, the intermediate profile tubes 5, 6 are cut open at the point of attachment of the pivot bearing. The miter surfaces running at 45o are denoted by 7 and 8 in FIG.
These flat cut surfaces are covered by simple flat plates or discs 9, 10 made of plastic. The plates 9, 10 are firmly connected at the edges to the cut edges of the plastic coating 6, in particular welded. As FIG. 1 shows, a small strip 11 made of plastic can be provided on the cover plate 9 in order to seal the butt joint between the cover parts 6 well.
The swing sash pivot bearing consists of the bearing half 12 to be connected to the fixed frame and the other bearing half 13 to be connected to the sash frame 13. More precisely, the fixed bearing half 12 is connected to the lower part of the intermediate profile frame, while the upper part of the intermediate profile frame Wing bearing half 13 carries. To connect the bearing halves are known per se, from the bearing halves outgoing lobes that are not apparent from the drawing.
As far as the bearing halves 12, 13 engage between the intermediate profile tube parts, the outer surfaces 12 ', 13' are designed in such a way that they enclose a right angle. As a result, when the bearing is built, these outer surfaces of the bearing halves lie tightly against the plastic end plates 9, 10, as can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 3.
The butt joint 14 between the two bearing halves 12, 13 is above a horizontal plane laid through the center of the bearing. In the example shown, the butt joint lies in a plane which runs through the bearing axis of rotation 15 and which is inclined by 450 relative to the horizontal. While the sash in Fig. 1 is shown in dashed lines in the position pivoted by 1800 GE, Fig. 3 shows the dashed sash in the window ventilation position. - From Fig. 3 it can be seen
that the bearing butt joint 14 is covered by the intermediate profile tube 5 or its cover plate 10 . In this way, rainwater is normally prevented from penetrating through the butt joint into the interior of the warehouse.
Fig. 3 shows at the same time that a pivot bearing of the same dimensions can also be installed in deeper intermediate profile tubes. The sealing strip 11 'made of plastic that is placed on the end plate 9 is made somewhat larger in this case.
1 and 3 further show that the fixed bearing half 12 is provided in the horizontal central plane at 16 with a recess into which the plastic strips 11, 11 'engage.
In the pivot bearing shown for example, a multi-disc brake 17 is on the axis of rotation 15 is arranged. The fixed bearing half 5 carries a head 18 which is rotatable with respect to it and which is pushed onto a pin 19 fixed on the sash frame half 13.
