Device for pumping hot liquids The subject of the invention is a device for pumping hot liquids, in which the impeller of a pump is arranged on a shaft common to an electrical drive motor's rule and the motor compartment communicates with the pump compartment.
In known, for pumping, of hot liquids certain facilities in which the engine compartment of the pumped liquid eats accessible to avoid the sealing difficulties of the pump shaft, usually sets the heat resistance of the material used for the insulation of the winding wires, the limit for the usability of the device . This limit is relatively low for the substances that are known and suitable for use as insulating material.
A remedy was u. a. sought in the best possible thermal insulation of the pump from the motor housing and motor compartment as well as in the active cooling of this space and the liquid in it. According to another proposal, the morator space was divided into two hermetically separated space parts by a split sleeve surrounding the rotor in order to keep at least the windings out of the pumping liquid and, if necessary, to switch them on in a cooling liquid circuit.
The split bushes could not be sealed off without further ado; they were sensitive to pressure differences between the parts of the room, and they noticeably reduced the efficiency of the motors. All in all, it can be said that until now it has not been possible to achieve satisfactory results with a reasonably affordable expense.
The purpose of the invention is to make it possible to avoid the difficulties mentioned and to create a robust, relatively cheap and operationally reliable device of the type by means of which liquids at a higher temperature and under greater pressure than before can be conveyed. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the engine compartment is filled with an electrically non-performing liquid, the winding wires being held at a distance from one another by means of intermediate layers made of an inorganic material, and the liquid being washed around them on all sides.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown; It shows: FIG. 1 a first exemplary embodiment in axial section, FIG. 2 a detail on a larger scale and FIG. 3 part of a variant.
According to FIG. 1, a housing 2 of an electric motor, hermetically sealed with a cover 1 at one end, is connected at the other end to a pump housing 5 by means of expansion bolts 4 with the interposition of an intermediate piece 3. The intermediate piece 3 has two spaced apart flanges 3 'and 3 "which are connected to one another via a tubular connecting piece 3a and tightly fit against the motor housing 2 and the pump housing 5. With this arrangement, the motor housing 2 is through from the pump housing 5 an air gap 6 is separated so that a greatly reduced cross section is available for the transfer of heat in the direction of the motor housing.
In order to also reduce the heat radiation, the pump housing is shielded from the motor housing by means of an asbestos ring 7, otherwise with an insulating jacket 8.
The pump housing 5 has a central inlet connection 9 and a radially directed delivery connection 10. The pump wheel 11 arranged opposite the inlet connection 9 is provided with radial blades and is of:
Egg edema with the housing 5 is surrounded by a guide apparatus 12 cast in one piece. The conveying medium arrives from the diffuser 12 through an annular space 13 to the conveying nozzle 10. This arrangement prevents cross thrusts from occurring.
The pump wheel 11 is wedged on the rotor shaft 14, which is passed through a partition 15 of the inter mediate piece 3. The mutually facing end faces of the pump wheel 11 and the wall 15 form a kind of labyrinth seal, which is designed so that the dirt particles coming between the said parts are thrown outwards.
The front end of the shaft 14 is mounted in a ball bearing 17, which also serves to absorb axial forces. When producing the bearing 17, the operating temperature of the device must be taken into account.
In the fleece 3 'there is a. with a branch 18 provided ventilation channel 19, which is closed with a vent screw 20 and allows the ventilation of the engine hem. Another vent screw 22 is located in the cover 1.
The windings 21 of the stator, like the rotor 23, are in the. undivided motor space 24. FIG. 2 clearly shows that the winding wires 45 are not insulated, they are merely made of an inorganic material by means of intermediate layers 46, e.g. B. by means of a wrapping 46 of glass fibers stood in mutual from. held. The motor hem 24 is filled with an electrically non-conductive liquid which, according to what has been said above, can wash around the winding wires 45 and thereby forms the actual insulation. If the pumped medium itself is not electrically conductive, the motor area is filled with this medium. This is the case, for example, when the device is used to convey the heat transfer medium known as Dowtherm.
The device has proven to be absolutely reliable, even though medium temperatures of over 400 C and operating pressures of over 10 atmospheres are conveyed and actually occur. If, on the other hand, an electrically conductive liquid is being conveyed, the motor hem can be filled with a non-conductive liquid.
The operating position of the device is then dependent on the specific weight of the two liquids, the specific weight of the two liquids. In general, no liquid exchange takes place between the pump chamber and the motor chamber. Only when the liquid in the engine compartment cools down, i.e. when there is an interruption in operation, some medium is drawn in from the pump wheel. However, this amount of medium and - as mentioned - any dirt particles that may have been carried along are immediately returned to the pump housing 5 at the start of operation. On the other hand, as a result of the rotation of the rotor in the motor hem, there is a strong movement of fluid.
Only for this reason, that is, to shield the windings 21 against any damaging effect of fluid eddies, are made of thin sheet metal and provided with holes 25, which give the end portions of the shaft 14 coaxially around and from both sides against the Rottor 23 extend. One of the sleeves is attached to a bearing 17 holding down, screwed to the adapter 3 th flange 27, the other sleeve attached to a shoulder 29 of the cover 1 carrying a white teres bearing 28 for the shaft 14. The bearing 28 is advantageously made so that it allows axial expansions of the shaft. The motor housing 2 has a terminal box 30 which is closed on the outside with a cover 31 and against the motor edge with a flange 32.
The flange 32 is of course sealed taking into account the pressure prevailing in the engine compartment and the medium temperature. To connect the windings 21 to the network, electrodes 33 arranged in the flange 32 and the usual terminals 34 are provided, the passage of the electrodes 33 through the flange being medium-tight in a known manner.
3 shows, on a larger scale, a variant of the front ball bearing 17 which carries the end of the rotor deflector 14 on the pump side. The inner ring 35 of the bearing 17 is fixed by means of a nut 36 placed on the shaft 14 via a support disk 37. The wedged with the shaft 14 at 38 support disk 37 has a number of radial bores 39. Which are connected via corresponding, also radially ge oriented bores 40 of the shaft 14 with a blind hole 41 of the same. The blind hole 41 extends from the rear end of the shaft 14, not shown in FIG. 3, along its axis through the area of the bearing 17. The shaft 14 and the disk 37 form an actual circulating device.
The medium filling the interior of the motor is sucked in at the free end of the blind hole 41 and ejected through the radial bores 39. The medium circulation ensures better cooling and temperature control and, at the same time, even heat distribution, which makes a significant contribution to the operational safety of the facility.
