Stamping device The present invention relates to a stamping device comprising a frame intended to be fixed on the table of a press, a die removably fixed on this frame, a punch mounted removably and slidably in a sheath, itself slidably mounted in the frame coaxially with the punch,
means resiliently returning the punch to a rest position relative to the sleeve and means resiliently returning the assembly formed by the punch and the sleeve to a rest position relative to the frame and finally means for angularly holding the sliding members.
Similar stamping devices, currently known on the market, are not designed so as to allow rapid change of the punch and the die.
The stamping device according to the present invention, which aims to remedy this drawback, is characterized in that said punch is removably connected to a spindle placed above the frame, in the extension of the punch, and sliding through a ring resting on the sleeve and serving as a stop for a member limiting the vertical displacement of the spindle,
and by the fact that the punch return means are constituted by a spring prestressed between the ring and the upper part of this pin, which allows the assembly formed by the pin and the punch, once removed from the sheath, to '' be uncoupled without removing the spring.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. FIG. 1 is a general elevational view of the device.
Fig. 2 is a partial view in axial vertical section.
Fig. 3 is a view from above of the lower part of FIG. 2. The device shown comprises a frame formed by a bracket 1 and a base 2.
The base 2 is centered by pins 18 and 19 on the table 22 of a press, not shown. A groove 23 made in the base (fig. 2 and 3) allows the device to be fixed to the press table, by means of bolts such as 25 screwed into an opening 24.
A die 5, having an opening 21 for the discharge of stamping waste, is mounted on the end of this base and fixed to it by means of a screw 17. The angular position of the die is determined by a key 13 passing through the frame and held in place by a screw 14.
The punch 4 of the device is mounted so as to slide vertically in a sleeve 6 mounted in the same way in the head of the bracket 1. This punch 4 is fixed to a pin serving as an anvil 8 by means of a threaded rod 26 on which is also screwed a nut 9 provided with a shoulder 27.
A ring 10 surrounds the nut 9 and rests on the shoulder 27 thereof. A spring 7 is disposed around the anvil 8 and precompressed between the ring 10 and the head 28 of the anvil. A key 11, fixed to the frame by screw 12, determines the angular position of the sleeve and of the punch, the latter sliding along the key by means of their grooves 29 and 30.
The return position relative to the frame of the anvil-punch-sleeve assembly is determined by the spring 16, the cap 27 and the pusher 15, the latter partially enveloping the ring 10 and the shoulder 31 of the sleeve 6.
The operation of this device is conventional during the downward movement of the press, the youngster (not shown) of the latter first of all drives all the moving equipment, that is to say the assembly 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 15 down,
until the sleeve 6 which acts as a sidewall press reaches the upper face of the sheet to be stamped (not shown), this movement taking place against the spring 16. Then the punch 4, the anvil and nut 9 alone continue to descend, the punch producing the stamping of said sheet.
The cut-out part falls through the opening 21. When this operation is completed, the punch-nut-anvil assembly first rises alone under the action of the res out 7 which was compressed during the stamping, then with the rest of the moving part which returns to its initial position under the action of the springs 16.
The punch is changed by removing from one piece the assembly made up of the anvil, the tightening nut, the spring, its support ring and the punch, the latter sliding around the key 11 through groove 29.
The punch being screwed to the end of the rod 26, the spring 7 will not be affected by the dismantling of the latter, remaining compressed between the stop head 28 and the ring 10. The die 5 can be removed. of the base of the device by momentarily removing the stop key and unscrewing it from screw 17 by rotation.
These easy-to-perform operations allow punch and die changes to be completed in minimum time.
