<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Device for reducing the losses caused by stray fields in transformers and choke coils by means of scatter bodies The invention relates to a device for reducing the losses caused by stray fields in the iron parts (e.g.
Tensioning parts and vessels) of transformers or choke coils with the help of laminated scattering bodies which are known per se and are located in front of the winding ends. In one embodiment that has become known, the litter packs were obtained in that the core yokes were widened by increasing their stack height compared to the core legs and by corresponding lengthening so that the winding end faces were covered as far as possible. The sheets required for widening could be accommodated with or without a free channel along the yokes.
The disadvantage here in both cases was that the magnetic flux from the widened yoke or with scattering bodies attached at a distance from the yoke did not always find the most favorable conditions, because in one case the magnetic flux had to penetrate at least partially across the yoke widening plates and in the other case larger ones Had to overcome air gaps until it could flow back into the actual core.
Far more favorable conditions have been created by connecting the scattering bodies to the iron core in a magnetically conductive manner according to the invention. For example, one can connect the iron core and the scattering body arranged at a distance from it and having a sheet-metal layering aligned with it by means of laminated bridges.
There are many possibilities for the implementation of these connecting bridges, as is explained with reference to the drawing, which shows various exemplary embodiments of the connecting bridges according to the invention. Fig. 1 shows in a perspective view, for example, a two-legged transformer core 1 with laminated scattering bodies 2 attached on both sides, the sheet-metal layering of which is aligned with that of the iron core.
With 3 U-shaped tape core pieces are indicated, each of which creates a magnetic connection between the iron core 1 and the diffusers 2 by the longer leg 4 standing on the diffuser 2 and in particular nested therewith in a suitable manner known per se. The shorter leg 5, on the other hand, rests on the upper yoke face 6 of the iron core 1 and can also be nested with the core here.
Since the scattering bodies 2 and their connecting bridges 3 are provided for the purpose of sucking off the magnetic flux into the iron core over the shortest possible path, it is not absolutely necessary to nest the connecting bridges with the iron core, it is sufficient to just butt the laminated core these places, regardless of whether the sheet metal cutting edges are parallel or crossing to the core sheets.
The arrangement of the diffusers together with the connecting bridges effectively prevents the magnetic flux from taking a path other than that via the diffusers and the connecting bridges. At least it is largely prevented that the magnetic flux penetrates the tensioning and supporting parts of the active part and the tank wall of the transformer in an undesired manner and gives rise to undesirable heating there. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the connecting bridges 3 open opposite one another each at the level of the core legs 10 in the iron core 1.
Instead, the connecting bridges 3 can also
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Lying next to each other open into the upper iron core face. The U-shaped connecting pieces, like the iron core and the straight diffuser 2, can be held together by clamping bolts or their sheets can also be connected to one another by gluing in a manner known per se. In many cases, it is sufficient to design the scatter packs as straight sheet metal packs with dimensions such that the end of the winding is largely covered by them.
It is of course also possible to adapt the diffusers to the shape of the winding by bulging them out in accordance with the curvature of the winding, as indicated, for example, in FIG. 1 by dashed lines 20. In the case of multi-limbed iron cores, the litter package is given a wavy shape.
Since there are many possible modifications to the design of the connecting pieces 3, it should also be pointed out that U-shaped connecting bridges, which are layered at their corners in the usual overlap, can also be used for the proposed purpose. In this case, however, only a butt joint of the connecting piece with the iron core and the diffuser is possible, in which case the metal sheets of the bridge cross with those of the core and the diffuser.
Another embodiment in which the bridge plates are placed on the iron core yokes in a crossing manner is shown in detail in FIG. Here again, 1 denotes the iron core and 2 denotes the diffusers arranged on both sides thereof, which are connected to one another by means of two U-shaped laminated core stirrups 30 and 40, which consist of pieces of tape core. The two diffusers 2 are designed, for example, as laminated pieces of tape core. The bracket 30, which connects the two diffusers 2 to one another, rests on this with its legs 31 and is possibly nested therewith.
In the middle of the bracket 30, the bracket 40 opens perpendicular thereto, which stands with its free legs 41 on the yoke face of the iron core 1. The two brackets 30 and 40 are expediently designed to be nested with one another at their intersection.
Finally, it is also possible, if only a scattering body upstream of the winding end is to be used, to design this as a toroidal core wound from strip material and to arrange it between the iron core yoke and the winding end. In this case it is sufficient if the scattering ring touches the core yoke at the point of intersection. If, on the other hand, the spreading ring is attached at a distance from the yoke, this distance can easily be bridged by inserting a correspondingly dimensioned laminated intermediate sheet stack and thereby ensuring a good connection between the spreading body and the iron core.
A connection of the scattering bodies 2 arranged on both sides of the iron core to the iron core is also possible by means of a corresponding frontal extension of the scattering packets 2 if their ends are bent over to form the iron core 1, as indicated by dash-dotted lines 50 in FIG and can open into the lateral foreheads of the core or can butt against them.
Diffusers according to the invention can also be obtained by arranging U-shaped strip core pieces, which sit with their one leg on the iron core face and with their other leg against the winding face, in such a number, distribution and dimensioning that their leg ends are approximately evenly distributed in front of the winding face. In order to make this possible, the press frame attached to the core only needs to be provided with corresponding recesses through which the scattering body legs can be passed.
If, in the case of several adjacent windings, tensioning bolts or tie rods of the winding tensioning device penetrate the gusset space that forms between two windings, some of the diffusers of the aforementioned type can also be arranged so that their one leg protrudes into this gap and is insulated from the tie rods will. Tape cores are then lined up along the length of the tie rod that remains free and, to a certain extent, a magnetic return is obtained from one iron core yoke to the other.
