Fig. 1 das Anzeigegerät in Arbeitsstellung,
Fig. 2 eine Ansicht desselben in Richtung A.
Device for setting up the workpiece as a tool for two-flank grinding
The invention relates to a device for setting up the workpiece as a tool for two-flank grinding on gear grinding machines, in which the rolling movement of the workpiece is achieved by two gears, one for the longitudinal and one for the rotary movement of the workpiece.
This known type of gear grinding machine allows both tooth flanks to be grinded simultaneously with each rolling movement of the workpiece by means of a grinding wheel profiled in the form of a rack.
The rolling movement of the workpiece is achieved with respect to the grinding wheel in that the workpiece is moved longitudinally by means of a threaded spindle drive and at the same time rotationally by a worm drive. The game adhering to both gears, which interfered with the absolutely necessary simultaneous use of the long pull and the rotational movement of the workpiece, is brought into agreement that an adjustable idle distance is provided in the transmission, which enables the leading or lagging play of one gear to match the other, so that the longitudinal movement and the rotary movement of the workpiece start at the same point in time for each rolling stroke after the respective turning.
A device is required to set the position of the idling, which is only a fraction of a millimeter and which can be most reliably determined on the tooth flank of the workpiece.
The devices used up to now, which consist of a larger number of parts, must be spatially arranged in such a way that the measurement movement can only be read off on a measuring device by deflecting the measurement movement. There is no setting option according to the size of the pressure angle. The friction in the bearings and guides, as well as between the individual parts, are essential factors influencing the measurement result, plus the inertia of the parts, which is unfavorable for the responsiveness of the device.
The purpose of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages inherent in the known devices and to create a device which has no friction and play of its own.
This is achieved in that a probe body provided with a convex cross-sectionally shaped probe surface running straight in its longitudinal direction is connected by means of a leaf spring to a holder for a micro-probe, the probe pin of which is arranged at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the probe surface and rests directly on the probe body.
The drawing shows an illustration of an exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention. Show it:
Fig. 1 the display device in the working position,
Fig. 2 is a view of the same in the direction A.
The device has a swivel body 1 which is arranged on the ram of a tooth flank grinding machine so as to be displaceable and replaceable by means of a dovetail guide 30. The end of the same facing away from the workpiece 15 forms a knife-like bevel 2 which runs concentrically to a bore 3 provided at the end facing the workpiece. The inclined surface 2 is provided with a graduation 32. A little within the degree scale, an elongated hole 4 is also worked out concentrically to bore 3. A pin 5, on which a double lever 6 is mounted, is pressed into the bore 3. Furthermore, a simple lever 7 is mounted on this pin 5, which is connected to the latter by an adjusting screw 8 rotatably arranged on the free cranked end of the double lever 6.
This simple lever 7 is provided with a threaded hole 9 at the level of the elongated hole 4. A clamping screw 10 is screwed into the threaded hole 9 through the elongated hole 4. The arm of the double lever 6 located outside the swivel body 1 is provided at its free end with a slotted bore 11, in which the clamping shaft 12 of a micro switch 13 is clamped by a screw 14 arranged transversely to the bore 11.
At the end of the lever 6 facing the workpiece 15, a leaf spring 16 is also attached in such a way that a probe body 17 rigidly connected to its free end rests against the probe pin 18 of the micro-probe 13 protruding from the bore 11. The tactile surface 31 of the tactile body 17 is convexly shaped in cross section and runs straight in its longitudinal direction, the stylus 18 being arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tactile surface 31. As a result, the plane passing through the point of contact with the tooth flank 15 and running in the longitudinal direction of the touch surface 31 results in a straight line in section with the touch surface 31. The line corresponds to the tooth edge of the toothed rack reference profile of the tool.
The touch surface therefore represents a tooth flank of the manufacturing reference profile in terms of position and shape.
This arrangement results in the following mode of operation:
The device is initially placed with its dovetail guide 30 on the ram on the gear grinding machine. This machine processes two flanks at the same time, with two gears for generating the rolling movement, one for the longitudinal and one for the rotary movement of the workpiece. The simple lever 7 is swiveled around the pin 5, roughly adjusted to the degree of the pressure angle on the scale 32 and fixed on the swivel body 1 with the clamping screw 10. Through the connection with the double lever 6, the probe body 17 is also adjusted. The constant falling or rising of the pointer Z of the micro-button 13 during the rolling process is characteristic of an imprecisely set pressure angle.
By means of the adjusting screw 8, the initially only roughly set pressure angle of the probe body is corrected until the pointer remains in a certain position during the rolling process. The latter is the indicator that the probe body is exactly at the pressure angle of the wheel. The specific position of the pointer set in this way during the rolling process lies at different points when rolling back and forth until the games adhering to the two gears are so aligned that with each rolling stroke after turning, the longitudinal movement and the rotary movement of the workpiece at the same time deploy. In order to achieve the latter, the idle distance in the rolling gear is adjusted accordingly until the specific position of the pointer is set at the same point both when rolling backwards and forwards.
By placing a tooth flank 15 of the workpiece on the touch surface 31 and by setting the idle distance, firstly the position of the tooth gap of the workpiece to the tool is determined and secondly the machine is set so that when rolling back and forth the position of the tooth gap is determined Tool not changed.
