Educational testing apparatus The object of the invention is an educational testing apparatus characterized in that it comprises a set of tables each comprising two series of aligned indications, respectively,
strip - .long of two concurrent axes forming a system of coordinates of the same angle for all the tables, each indication of any one of the series being related to the ballot box at least of the indications of the other series,
this matching being materialized in a distinctive way and determined by the point of intersection of the corresponding coordinates, said points of intersection being grouped in a predetermined area of each table,
two superimposed perforated plates forming identical grids, the perforations of which correspond to all the points of intersection of all the coordinates of any of said tables and of the positioning means
relative of said plates above one of said tables placed on a support,, the thickness of the perforated plate placed between the table and the upper perforated plate being sufficient for a sheet of paper interposed between said two plates <RTI
ID = "0001.0087"> perforated can be drilled by indentation and reveal the distinctive materialization, all of said perforated plates and said positioning means being arranged so that any board of said set can, on the one hand,
be positioned with ladi you predetermined zone fully engaged below said perforated plates and, on the other hand, protrude from them by at least two sides bearing ales series of aligned indications.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the educational testing apparatus which is the subject of the invention.
The fia. 1 schematically shows, from the front, a first embodiment. Fig. 2 is a section on line II-II of. fig. 1.
Fig. 3 is an exploded view corresponding to FIG. 2.
Fig. 4 represents the table alone mounted in the apparatus of. fig. 1.
Read fig. 5 is a section taken along line V-V of 1-a fig. 1.
Fig. 6 is a view similar to FIG. 1 of the same device equipped with a panel of a slightly different type.
The fi-. 7 shows the table alone of FIG. 6. FIG. 8 is a schematic front view of a second embodiment.
Fig. 9 shows the table alone of .la fig. 8. The educational testing apparatus shown in Figs. 1 to 3 essentially comprises a lower support plate 1, a lower perforated plate 2, and an upper perforated plate 3.
The two perforated plates 2 and 3 are positioned and held assembled on the support plate 1,
by means of slangs 5 integral with the latter and which pass through the two perforated plates 2 and 3 through corresponding holes made in the latter.
The apparatus further comprises tables, such as Table 7, which each comprise two series of indications designated, respectively, in their sets, by A and B, and which are aligned respectively, along two concurrent axes forming a coordinate system with the same angle (here a right angle)
for all tables, each indication of any one of the series being related to at least one of the indications of the other series.
Thus, in the example shown, each word of the series A corresponding to the name of a tree in the English language, while each word of the series B corresponds to the corresponding names of the same trees in the French language, but in a different order. ferent.
The matching of the two series of indications is determined by the point of intersection of the corresponding coordinates (see fig. 4), said points of intersection being grouped in a predetermined zone whose surface is at most equal to that of the plates. perforated 2 and 3.
The matching of the series of indications is, moreover, materialized in a distinctive way, by small hatched circles located at the meeting points of the coordinates considered.
The perforated plates 2 and 3 form two identical grids whose perforations correspond to all the points of intersection of all the coordinates of the tables.
The plate-su, pport 1 is relatively thin, so that, when the apparatus is placed on a table, the tables 7 do not deform appreciably along the edges of said support plate.
The thickness of the lower perforated plate 2 is such that a sheet of paper 11, interposed between the two perforated plates 2 and 3, can be pierced by depression, either with the finger or with any suitable instrument,
such that the rod 12 represented in FIG. 5, so as to reveal the small hatched circles through the perforations corresponding to the correct answers.
Zone 10 of each table inserted into the appliance is thus entirely covered by the perforated plates and suitably positioned relative to them :, by means of pins 5 which pass through the corresponding perforations 13 of table 7 (fig. . 4).
In addition, said table extends beyond the perforated plates, at least on two sides bearing precisely the series of indications -aligned A and B, so that they are visible.
This arrangement does not impose any limitation on the size of the tables, provided they are larger than the perforated plates. It is thus possible to give the tables the most varied arrangements,
depending on the related indications they carry.
To use the appliance, after having inserted a table 7 between the support plate 1 and the lower grid 2, then a sheet of paper 11 between the two grids, the whole being possibly kept assembled,
by means of elastic rings 15 threaded on the upper ends of the pins 5, one considers an indication of the series A and one searches, in the series B, which can be the corresponding related indications. When you believe you have found the answer, perforate sheet 11,
at the point of intersection of the coordinates passing through the two indications considered. If the answer is correct, we can see, through the perforation of the sheet of paper 11, the corresponding distinctive materialization,
in this case the small hatched circle d. On the contrary, if the answer is false, the distinguishing mark appears, for example, in the form of a solid color of zone 10, or else on any other desired distinguishing mark.
Sheet 11 constitutes physical proof of the test, in which each answer is materialized by a perforation and, in order for the answer to be correct, it is obviously necessary that the perforation be made at the meeting point of the coordinates corresponding to the two related indications chosen. .
Fig. 6 shows how, with the same apparatus, i.e. - tenth with the same set of support plate and grids, different tables can be used, such as table 17, for example,
in which the number of indications of series A is smaller than the number of perforations of the corresponding row of grids 2 and 3. The other series of indications B contains, in this example, the same number of indications that in table 7 of the embodiment of fig. 1 to 4.
This use is made possible in a convenient way, by the fact that the center distance of the positioning and assembly pins 13 is equal to the center line of two lines of corresponding perforations of the plates 2 and 3. .
It is thus possible to engage the pins 13 in the two corresponding holes 13a of table 17 (fig. 7), and in the suitable perforations of the two plates 2 and 3 so that said plates cover entirely, and only,
the aforementioned zone 10a of Table 17.
Figs. 8 and 9 represent a variant in which the series of indications B1 is always aligned along one of the edges of the aforementioned zone 10b of table 27,
but the other series of indications is divided into two halves indicated by A2 and A3, along two other affixed edges of said zone.
In this case, the grids such as the grid 3e- have twice as many perforations along the series of indications B as in the embodiment of FIG. 1.
Similarly, the indications of series A2 and A3 are related to the corresponding indications of series B1 and the apparatus is used in the same way, but a greater number of combinations are obtained.
Naturally, the indications given on the tables can appear in an infinite number of different forms. In the examples shown, tree names have been indicated, but we could replace these names with letters, numbers,
any reference marks or arrows connected to the drawings, these being for example distributed over the remainder of the extent of Table 7.
This can be as large as you want and absolutely any shape.
The only restriction being that it must have an area 10 intended to cover at least part of the surface of the perforated lower plate 2.
It is also possible to choose indications of mature such as at each indication of one of the series,
several of the indications in the other series are related. It is also possible to choose indications such that some of the indications of any one of the gods series correspond to several indications of the other series.
Such an apparatus is of a simple design, therefore inexpensive; it is very convenient to use, and does not impose any limitation on the maximum dimensions of the table, since it can overflow,
of any quantity, around the perforated plates in order to be able to present all the indications and all the desirable comments. The sheet of paper, once perforated, constitutes,
a tamper-proof proof which may bear, for example, the name of the pupil who has just taken the test.
