Metal frame The present invention relates to a metal frame for a device for closing a bay, in particular a door or a window.
The metal frames used up to now consist of profiles of different types having for each type a particular shape adapting to a specific window closing device. As shown in cross section, versal in FIG. 1, in one of these plain frames, the metal profile 1 has a recess 2 forming a rebate for a leaf 3 of a door or a window hinged at 4 on the profile 1.
A gasket 5 made of an elastic material, for example rubber, is fixed in a channel 6 formed by folding the metal of the profile 1 along the strip 2. In this example, the strip 2 is at a distance from edge A of profile 1.
Fig. 2 shows another known frame intended to be adapted to a device for closing a bay of dimensions different from that shown in FIG. 1. The leaf 3 'is, for example, thinner than the leaf 3 as well as the wall or the pocket in which the bay is formed. In this example, the rebate 2 ′ of the profile l ′ is located at a distance b from the edge A ′ smaller than the distance a.
The doorframe manufacturer will therefore have to have very extensive tools available to be able to manufacture the entire range of profiles required in the building industry, which represents a serious drawback.
The present invention aims to remedy this drawback and the frame which is the subject thereof is characterized by a first section intended to be fixed around said opening and having a flat face delimiting the opening and a second section fixed on said flat face. of the first section, this second section for mant a rebate for the closing device of the opening.
Fig. 3 of the drawing. represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the metal frame forming the subject of the present invention. .
In this figure, the frame comprises a first section 7 in the shape of a rectilinear C intended to be fixed around the opening formed in a wall P with the back of the C forming a flat face 7 'delimiting this opening. A second profile 8 is fixed by screwing, welding or riveting on the flat face 7 'in a variable position according to needs, that is to say according to the thickness of the leaf 9 of a door or a window. articulated in 10 on the profile 7.
This profile 8 is tubular, that is to say is formed by folding a metal sheet, longitudinally so as to form a blank 11 perpendicular to the flat face 7 ', a blank 12 parallel to this face and folded back on itself. over part of its length up to a blank 13 perpendicular to the flat face 7 'and a blank 14 fixed to this face 7'.
The blank 11 resting by its edge against the flat face 7 'makes it possible to produce a clean assembly without rounding into which dust can enter. The depression of the profile 8 made between the extension of the blank 12 and the blank 13 therefore extends longitudinally over the entire periphery of this profile and forms with the flat face 7 'a housing intended to receive a lining 15 made of an elastic material, for example made of rubber, having the form of a closed tube fitted with a long flange,
dinal as shown in fig. 3. The packing 15 could also include only the tubular part. The shape of the profile 8 could be different. It could for example be of rectangular section and carry on its side facing the leaf 9 a seal, either attached or fixed in a slot as in the examples of FIGS. 1 and 2.
The advantage of the metal frame described lies in the fact that it is particularly simple to manufacture, making it possible to use the same tool for the bending of profiles 7 of different sizes depending on the thickness E of the frame. the Bay.
On the other hand, the fact of being able to fix the profile 8 at the desired distance from one of the edges of the flat face 7 'of the profile 7 depending on the thickness of the door or the window 9, also constitutes a important advantage of the frame described.
