Time counter The present patent relates to a time counter comprising push-button mechanisms for starting, stopping and resetting the various indicator members.
This counter is characterized by the fact that the time indicator member is constituted by a jumping disc whose figures appear in an aperture on the dial.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the counter, object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a front view; fig. 2 is a dial side view of the counter movement; fig. 3 is a view similar to FIG. 2, part of the components mounted on the plate, dial side, having been removed; fig. 4 is a sectional view along the line IV-IV of FIG. 2.
The indicator members of the counter represented are constituted (fig. 1) by a time disc 10 whose figures appear in a window 11 of a dial 12, by a minutes hand in the center 13, and by a seconds hand in the center 14 .
The movement, the plate of which is designated by the number 15, comprises (fig. 4) an eccentric large average mobile 16, a small average mobile 17 and a central seconds mobile 18.
The hand 14 is driven out (fig. 4) on a barrel 19 mounted with greasy friction on the end of the shaft 20 of the seconds mobile 18. This barrel 19, which rotates inside a bearing 21 d 'a bridge 22 fixed on the dial side of the plate 15, has at its base a zero reset core 23. The needle 13 is wedged on a barrel wheel 24 rotating around the bearing 21. On the barrel of this wheel is freely adjusted the hub 25 of an assembly formed by the disc 10 and a star with twelve branches 36. This hub has at its base a bearing surface rotating in. a circular hole, forming a bearing, of a bar 26. The latter is mounted on the plate 15 by means of an annular bridge 27.
The barrel wheel 24, the axial swing of which is limited by the bar 26, is driven by the medium-sized mobile 16 by means of a rotary assembly 29 mounted with high friction on the end of the shaft 60 , passing through the plate 15, the mobile 16 and a return pinion 30.
The crew 29 is formed by a toothed wheel 31, a finger 32 and a zero reset core 33. The idler pinion 30 is mounted on an arm 34 and is applied against the teeth of the wheel to zero. barrel 24 and the wheel 31 by a spring 35.
The angular position of the assembly 10-36, which rests on the bar 26 and which is held in position by a clip 28, is fixed by a jumper 37. At each revolution of the mobile 16, the finger 32 jumps up. not star 36, i.e. by a twelfth of a turn disc 10.
The control mechanism for starting and stopping the movement comprises (FIG. 3) a column wheel 38 formed of a ratchet 39 with sixteen teeth and eight columns 40. This wheel 38, subjected to the action of a jumper 41, is actuated by a pawl 42 connected to the rod 43 of a central pusher 44. Pressure exerted on the latter causes the ratchet 39 to jump one step and causes it to start or stop movement according to the angular position of the columns 40.
The movement is stopped by means of two brakes 45 and 46 acting simultaneously and respectively on the wheel 47 of the second mobile.

18 and on the balance 48. The brake 45 is constituted by a lever one arm of which carries a pad 49 and the other arm of which has a beak 50. This lever is subjected to the action of a spring 51 which tends to apply the shoe 49 against the rim of the balance 48. If the wheel 38 is in the position shown in the drawing, the spout 50 is lifted by a column 40 and the shoe 49 is kept away from the balance. If this wheel 38 is in a position forming an angle of one sixteenth of a turn with the position shown, the nose 49 falls between two columns 40 and the shoe 49 blocks the balance 48.
The brake 46, which is formed by a leaf spring, is controlled by the brake 45. It acts by means of a shoe 52 on the teeth of the wheel 47.
The resetting of the hands 13 and 14 takes place by means of a mechanism comprising a forked rocker 53 whose branches 54 and 55 constitute two hammers intended to act on the resetting cores 23, respectively 33 This rocker 53 is controlled by a lateral push button 56 on which a return spring 57 acts. This mechanism is locked if a column 40 is in front of the heel 58 of the rocker 53, which occurs each time that the brakes 45 and 46 are not actuated and unlocked when a column 40 lifts the spout 50 and causes the movement to be blocked.
The time disc 10 can be reset to zero by a lateral push button 59 which controls a rocker 61 subjected to the action of a spring 62. Each pressure exerted on this push button 59 causes the star 36 and the disc 10 to jump. a twelfth of a turn.
The jumper 37, the lever 61 and their return springs are mounted on the annular bridge 27.
A ring 63 screwed onto the tube inside which slides the rod of the pusher 59 enables the latter to be axially locked.
