Description
Tool for transferring a broken thread from a package stored in the rotating spinning pot of a centrifugal spinning or twisting machine onto a winding tube. Devices are known which, in the event of breakage of the thread lying on the inner wall of a centrifugal cylinder of a spinning or twisting machine, use one or more thread Windings of this thread can be taken and transferred to a sleeve which is placed on the shaft of the centrifugal cylinder, whereby a loss of this thread as waste is avoided.
The disadvantages of the known devices are: a) It is not the end of the thread, but only one or more turns of the thread that is gripped, resulting in waste of the thread during subsequent winding; b) the turns are only gripped in a certain specific point, which depends on the position imposed on this device by its position.
The inventive tool for transferring a broken thread from a package stored in the rotating spinning pot of a centrifugal spinning or twisting machine onto a winding tube is characterized by a handle with attached to it at most slightly curved feeler wires which are free from kinks.
An exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention is described below on the basis of the accompanying drawings. The figures show: FIG. 1 the tool, FIG. 2 the tool at work in the centrifugal cylinder.
The portable tool shown can be used in all centrifuges operated by a worker. By inserting the feeler wires attached to the tool head into the centrifugal cylinder, the broken thread can be stopped in any position in which the tear occurred, or it can be intercepted with one or more of the turns placed on the sleeve, whereby the entire , the amount of thread deposited on the centrifugal cylinder wall can be wound onto the tube.
The tool is easy and safe to use; there is no waste in the event of a thread breakage, so that there is also no waste.
The tool shown (FIG. 1) consists of a handle 1, with the end of which one or more flexible, at most only slightly curved feeler wires 2 are firmly connected and are free from kinks.
In the event of a thread break, the feeler wires are inserted into the centrifugal cylinder next to the sleeve placed on the centrifugal cylinder axis (Fig. 2), whereupon the end of the broken thread can be found by means of a suitable hand movement with the tip of the feeler wire, regardless of its position. is touched in one or more turns and its movement is stopped. The thread is transferred to the tube, on which the further winding takes place.
The tool handle with its feeler wires located between the sleeve and the first layer of the wound thread is then pulled out without the thread breaking.
