Time counter The present invention relates to a time counter comprising a central minute hand and a mechanism for resetting and triggering the rotation of this hand.
This counter is characterized by the fact that said mechanism is constituted by a heart wedged on the axis carrying the minute hand, by a sliding flange connection between this heart and the minute wheel which is rotatably mounted on said axis, and by a return hammer of. heart controlled by a pusher, the whole so that the flange slides when the hammer turns or blocks the heart.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, the mechanism for resetting and triggering the rotation of the minute hand at the center of one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view, at rest of this mechanism; fig. 2 is a view similar to FIG. 1 illustrating its operation; fig. 3 is a sectional view along the line III-III of FIG. 1; fig. 4 is a plan view, on a large scale, of the core.
The mechanism shown is intended, on the one hand, to reset the minute hand at the center q to zero and, on the other hand, to control the start of the travel of this hand.
This mechanism comprises a heart c wedged on the end of the axis d carrying the needle q, a hammer b shaped so as to have a certain elasticity in the plane of the drawing and capable of pivoting about an axis j between the two positions, fixed by a stop g, which it occupies respectively in FIGS. 1 and 2, a pusher a, connected by a finger h to the hammer b, which makes it possible to tilt the latter between its two limit positions, and a leaf spring e fixed by f returning the hammer b to its position in FIG. 1.
The stop g is constituted by an eccentric screw which makes it possible to adjust the stroke of the hammer.
The wheel with center p (fig. 3) turns freely on the axis d to which it is connected by a sliding flange k. This flange is formed by a spring wire having a loop engaged with greasy friction in an annular groove n formed in the barrel of the wheel p, and an elbow clamped by a screw m on the core. The outer end of the spring k is stopped in a hole o of the heart.
When the mechanism is at rest (fig. 1), the spring e keeps the hammer b away from the heart c; the wheel p drives the latter and the axis d via the flange k.
When pressure is exerted on the pusher d, the hammer b tilts into its position in FIG. 2 and returns the heart c and the needle q to zero, the loop of the spring k engaged in the groove n sliding therein.
The desmodromic connection between the wheel p and the axis d is not reestablished, after resetting the hand q to zero, until the pusher a is released. At this moment, the hand q again coupled to the wheel p resumes its course from zero on the dial. The return and the departure of the needle are therefore controlled by the single pusher a.
So that the action of the hammer on the heart is independent of the intensity of the pressure exerted on the pusher a and to prevent the wear of the heart and the hammer from allowing

in addition to the latter carrying out the reset correctly, the stop g will be adjusted so that the hammer is slightly elastically deformed in its position in fig. 2.
