Description

Clamp with closed base, for fixing a pipe It is common practice to use for fixing various pipes, clamps screwed onto a threaded plug, previously driven into a wall, either manually or mechanically.

These collars have the drawback that, by a frequent defect in cutting, the head of the che-ville exceeds the threaded part of the collar, which, in the case of an electrical pipe, deforms the cable by modifying the insulation and causes short circuits which are all the more dangerous when the safety distance between the cable and the wall is no longer respected.

The object of the present invention is to eliminate this drawback.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, embodiments of the collar forming the subject of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the lower half collar of an expandable collar.

Fig. 2 shows in perspective, the upper half-collar of the same collar.

Fig. 3 shows, in profile and in section, an extensible collar.

Fig. 4 also shows in profile and in section, a non-extensible collar, that is to say with a fixed diameter. Fig. 5 and fig. 6 show two sealing plates, to be stapled.

Fig. 7 is a section of the base comprising a stapled plate.

Fig. 8 is a section through a base closed off by machining and attached to the collar. In a first embodiment, the collar is extensible. To this end, it comprises a lower half-collar 1 provided, at one of its ends, with a mortise 2 and at the other end with a tapped hole 3 for a screw of tightening 4. This half-collar 1 com carries a threaded base 5, intended to be screwed onto an ankle previously driven into a wall.

The half-collar 6 comprises, at one of its ends, a series of parallel notches 7 forming between them tenons, intended to engage in the mortise 2 and, at the other end, an elongated hole 8, allowing free play of the clamping screw 4 when changing position.

In a second embodiment, the collar is formed of two half-collars 9 and 10, of identical dimensions, comprising corresponding threaded holes, for tightening by two screws 4 and 4a. The base half-collar 9 is provided with the fixing base.

The closure of the base is obtained in both cases by means of a plate 11, electrically welded in the slight hollow 12, provided during the stamping of the collar. The base is thus made blind.

Instead of a welded patch, a sheet metal plate can be stapled transversely mechanically. This plate may have one of the shapes shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. FIG. 7 shows how the plate can be crimped on each side of the base.

In a second variant, the base can be attached and would then consist of a low-cut part, crimped on the half-collar. By this variation, we would machine a tapped blind hole. It is this variant that FIG. 8.
