Universal waterproof watch The present invention relates to a universal waterproof watch.
This watch is characterized by the fact that the body of its box carries, internally, a rotating crown divided into time zones, a sealed control device making it possible to actuate this crown from outside the box, in order to rotate it.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of a universal waterproof watch.
Fig. 2 is a section taken along line II-II of FIG. 1, on a larger scale; and fig. 3 is a section taken along line III-III of FIG. 1, also on a larger scale.
The watch case shown comprises a body 1 on which is mounted, in a sealed manner, a crystal 2 provided with a tension ring 3. The back 4 is hooked onto the case body 1, a gasket 5 ensuring the sealing of the joint between these two elements.
The movement of the watch is designated by 6, and its dial by 7. The periphery of the dial is covered by a crown 8, slightly frustoconical, having a flange 8a freely engaged in an annular groove 9 formed in the case body 1. The Crown 8 is thus rotatably mounted on the gearbox body 1, and the tension ring 3 of the crystal, forming a flange, holds it in place.
The crown 8 constitutes a movable annular dial, surrounding the fixed dial 7, and divided into time zones. To increase the clarity of the drawing, only eight place names corresponding to eight different time zones have been indicated, but in reality the crown 8 will be divided into twenty-four time zones. These time zones will make it possible to read the time from any point on the globe with reference to a twenty-four hour turn 10 carried by the fixed dial 7.
The movements of the crown 8, to make it possible to bring the time zone, in which we are located opposite the hour hand 11, in order to know the time that it is in any other time zone, or even the clock. - ner any time zone opposite a given time of the twenty-four hour turn 10, in order to know the corresponding time in any other time zone, are produced by a crown 12 (fig. 3) mounted in a sealed manner on a pendant 13 tube driven into the can body 1.
The sealing device between the crown and the tube 13 has not been shown, which can be produced in any manner customary in the field of waterproof winders. The crown 12 is integral with a rod 14 carrying a pinion 15 housed in a recess 16 of the box body 1 and held in place by a plug 17 driven into this recess. The pinion 15 is engaged with a set of teeth that the rim 8a of the crown 8 has. The latter is thus driven in rotation when the crown is actuated. It should be noted that the rod 14 is made integral with the pinion 15 by a square part 14a entering a hole of the same section of a sleeve 18 secured to the pinion.
The rod is introduced into the sleeve 18 while the latter, with the pinion 15, is already in place in the recess 16 of the gearbox body 1, then it is locked by a

screw 19 penetrating into a groove 20 of the rod and above which is placed the rim of the glass 2, with its tension ring 3.
