La présente invention comprend un procédé pour la mise en place d'une banderole autour de tablettes ou autres articles semblables, dans une plieuse automatique, qui est caractérisé en ce qu'on enroule une banderole autour de chaque tablette, pendant son transport pour la mettre de chant.
L'invention comprend aussi un dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé, c'est-à-dire pour la mise en place d'une banderole autour de tablettes, dans une plieuse automatique comprenant un support de tablette pour amener les tablettes une à une d'une position d'arrivée dans laquelle les tablettes sont de chant, un organe d'amenée de la banderole, et des moyens pour fixer l'une à l'autre les extrémités de la banderole, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte des moyens de guidage pour enrouler la banderole progressivement autour de la tablette en cours de son transport pour la mettre de chant.
Le dessin représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution d'un dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre du procédé selon l'invention.

Les fig. 3 et 4 sont des coupes analogues à celle de la fig. 1, montrant deux autres positions des éléments constituant le dispositif.
Dans la forme d'exécution représentée, à titre d'exemple, le dispositif est destiné à mettre de chant et à munir d'une banderole des tablettes 1, de chocolat par exemple. Le dispositif comprend un plateau fixe 2 sur lequel les tablettes sont amenées une à une par un organe non représenté. Un organe d'alimentation, non représenté, entraîne une banderole de papier 3 de manière qu'une longueur déterminée, au début d'un cycle d'emballage, pende dans la machine (fig. 4) au-dessous d'un couteau 4.
Le dispositif comprend un support de tablette 5 portant un plateau 6 qui, dans la position représentée à la fig. 1, est horizontal et au même niveau que le plateau fixe 2. Ce plateau est solidaire d'une tige cylindrique 7 solidaire d'un bloc 8 qui s'articule par un axe 9 à l'extrémité d'un levier 10 tournant autour d'un axe 11. Ainsi, les blocs 8 du support 5 sont susceptibles de tourner selon une trajectoire circulaire centrée sur l'axe 11. Par ailleurs, la tige 7 coulisse dans une glissière 12 montée sur une console 13 solidaire du bâti de la machine. La glissière 12 est montée à pivotement sur la console 13 autour d'un axe 14.
Le dispositif comprend des moyens de guidage comportant des brosses fixes 15 et 16. La brosse 15 est fixée sur l'axe 11, de manière que l'extrémité des poils constitue une surface horizontale légèrement au-dessous du niveau de la surface supérieure de la tablette 1 placée sur le support 5. La brosse 16 présente des poils constituant une surface inclinée 20 et une surface horizontale 21. Des cliquets 17 sont constitués chacun par un plateau monté à rotation sur un axe 22 et sollicité à tourner autour de cet axe par un ressort de traction 23. Une butée non représentée limite la rotation du cliquet 17 dans le sens horaire en regardant la fig. 1, quand aucune tablette n'est encore disposée au-dessous de ce cliquet. Des brosses 18 et 19 (fig. 2) sont disposées perpendiculairement au cliquet 17. Au-dessous du cliquet 17 est monté un plateau 24 destiné à recevoir les tablettes.
Sous ce plateau sont montés deux cliquets 25 pivotant autour d'un axe 26. Ces cliquets sont sollicités chacun à tourner dans le sens antihoraire, en regardant la fig. 1. par un ressort de traction 26. Une butée non représentée limite cette rotation quand aucune tablette n'est placée sur le plateau 24. Les brosses 18 et 19 et le plateau 24, sont agencés pour maintenir les tablettes de chant.
Le dispositif fonctionne de la manière suivante. Au début d'un cycle, une tablette 1 est amenée sur le plateau fixe 2. La bande 3 a été alimentée de manière à ce que la longueur désirée pende audessous des couteaux 4 ouverts (fig. 4). Le plateau 6 du support de tablette 5 est alors amené dans la position représentée à la fig. 1 sous la commande des leviers 10 actionnés par l'arbre 11. A ce moment, la tablette 1 sur le plateau fixe 2 est poussée vers la gauche en regardant la fig. 1, par une tablette suivante qui prend sa place sur le plateau fixe 2. La première tablette entraîne donc la banderole 3 et vient se placer sur le plateau 6. La banderole 3 est repliée sous la face inférieure de la tablette et recouvre une petite face latérale de la tablette ainsi que la face supérieure de celle-ci sur laquelle elle est maintenue par la brosse 15.
Les couteaux 4 se ferment alors pour couper la longueur voulue de la banderole.
Les leviers 10 pivotent ensuite, sous la commande de l'axe 11, dans le sens horaire (fig. 1, 3 et 4). Les blocs 8 du support de tablette 5 décrivent alors un arc de cercle centré sur l'axe 11, tandis que la tige 7 coulisse dans la glissière 12 qui tourne autour de son axe 14. Le support de tablette 5 prend ainsi un mouvement simultané de translation et de rotation, une position intermédiaire du support de tablette 5 étant représentée à la fig. 3 au cours de ce déplacement. La tablette 1 est retenue par un rebord du plateau 6 et, au cours de son mouvement, se déplace relativement à la surface 20 de la brosse 16 de manière que la banderole 3 soit constamment maintenue contre la tablette. Quand les leviers ont atteint la position représentée à la fig. 4, la tablette est placée de chant entre les cliquets
17 et le plateau 24.
Le montage à pivot des cliquets 17, 25 et les ressorts 23 et 27 facilitent l'introduction de la tablette. Dans cette position de chant, la tablette est entourée presque complètement par la banderole 3, sauf la partie supérieure de sa face arrière qui est encore libre. Un organe non représenté vient alors mettre de la colle sur la banderole recouvrant la partie inférieure de la face arrière de la tablette, comme l'indiquent les petites flèches visibles à la fig. 4.
Quand les leviers 10 se déplacent ensuite dans le sens antihoraire (fig. 4) pour commencer un nouveau cycle, la banderole 3 non encore disposée contre la tablette tombe par son propre poids et, lorsqu'une nouvelle tablette vient occuper sa position de chant et déplacer vers la gauche (fig. 4) les tablettes déjà en place, la partie encore libre de la banderolle vient se coller à la partie encollée et la tablette est complètement entourée par la banderole.
Il est évident que le procédé peut être utilisé pour mettre en place une banderole autour de tout article plat autre que des tablettes.

In the embodiment shown, by way of example, the device is intended for singing and providing a banner for bars 1, of chocolate for example. The device comprises a fixed plate 2 onto which the shelves are brought one by one by a member not shown. A feed member, not shown, drives a paper streamer 3 so that a determined length, at the start of a wrapping cycle, hangs in the machine (fig. 4) below a knife 4. .
The device comprises a tablet support 5 carrying a tray 6 which, in the position shown in FIG. 1, is horizontal and at the same level as the fixed plate 2. This plate is integral with a cylindrical rod 7 integral with a block 8 which is articulated by an axis 9 at the end of a lever 10 rotating around d 'an axis 11. Thus, the blocks 8 of the support 5 are capable of rotating along a circular path centered on the axis 11. Furthermore, the rod 7 slides in a slide 12 mounted on a console 13 integral with the frame of the machine . Slide 12 is pivotally mounted on console 13 about an axis 14.
The device comprises guide means comprising fixed brushes 15 and 16. The brush 15 is fixed on the axis 11, so that the end of the bristles constitutes a horizontal surface slightly below the level of the upper surface of the tablet 1 placed on the support 5. The brush 16 has bristles constituting an inclined surface 20 and a horizontal surface 21. Pawls 17 are each formed by a plate rotatably mounted on an axis 22 and urged to rotate around this axis by a tension spring 23. A stop not shown limits the rotation of the pawl 17 in the clockwise direction by looking at FIG. 1, when no shelf is yet disposed below this pawl. Brushes 18 and 19 (FIG. 2) are arranged perpendicular to the pawl 17. Below the pawl 17 is mounted a plate 24 intended to receive the shelves.
Under this plate are mounted two pawls 25 pivoting about an axis 26. These pawls are each urged to rotate in the counterclockwise direction, looking at FIG. 1. by a tension spring 26. A stop not shown limits this rotation when no shelf is placed on the plate 24. The brushes 18 and 19 and the plate 24, are arranged to hold the edge shelves.
The device operates as follows. At the start of a cycle, a tablet 1 is brought onto the fixed plate 2. The strip 3 has been fed so that the desired length hangs below the open knives 4 (fig. 4). The plate 6 of the tablet support 5 is then brought into the position shown in FIG. 1 under the control of the levers 10 actuated by the shaft 11. At this moment, the shelf 1 on the fixed plate 2 is pushed to the left, looking at FIG. 1, by a next shelf which takes its place on the fixed plate 2. The first shelf therefore drives the banner 3 and is placed on the plate 6. The banner 3 is folded under the underside of the shelf and covers a small face side of the shelf as well as the upper face of the latter on which it is held by the brush 15.
The knives 4 then close to cut the desired length of the banner.
The levers 10 then pivot, under the control of the axis 11, clockwise (fig. 1, 3 and 4). The blocks 8 of the tablet support 5 then describe an arc of a circle centered on the axis 11, while the rod 7 slides in the slide 12 which rotates around its axis 14. The tablet support 5 thus takes a simultaneous movement of translation and rotation, an intermediate position of the shelf support 5 being shown in FIG. 3 during this trip. The tablet 1 is retained by a rim of the tray 6 and, during its movement, moves relative to the surface 20 of the brush 16 so that the banner 3 is constantly held against the tablet. When the levers have reached the position shown in fig. 4, the shelf is placed edgewise between the pawls
17 and plate 24.
The pivot mounting of the pawls 17, 25 and the springs 23 and 27 facilitate the introduction of the tablet. In this singing position, the tablet is surrounded almost completely by the streamer 3, except the upper part of its rear face which is still free. A member not shown then comes to put glue on the banner covering the lower part of the rear face of the tablet, as indicated by the small arrows visible in FIG. 4.
When the levers 10 then move counterclockwise (fig. 4) to start a new cycle, the banner 3 not yet placed against the tablet falls by its own weight and, when a new tablet comes to occupy its singing position and move the shelves already in place to the left (fig. 4), the still free part of the banner sticks to the glued part and the tablet is completely surrounded by the banner.
Obviously, the method can be used to wrap a banner around any flat item other than shelves.
