<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Racquetry for a timepiece The present patent relates to a racquetry for a timepiece. This racket is characterized by the fact that it comprises a hairspring holder mounted rotatably on the frame of the movement, coaxially with the balance, and which has a clearance in which the hairspring is fixed and is slidably mounted, an adjustment member. of the active length of the hairspring.
The patent also relates to a manufacturing process which applies to this racket when the bottom of the clearance is constituted by a cylindrical wall; this process is characterized by the fact that the balance-spring holder is obtained, with said clearance, by turning, from a profiled wire.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, several embodiments of the racket which is the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is a plan view of a rack for a timepiece. Fig. 2 is a section taken along line 11-11 of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is an elevational view of this first embodiment.
Fig. 4 is a plan view of a second embodiment of a rack for a timepiece. Fig. 5 is a section taken along the line V-V of FIG. 4. FIG. 6 is an elevational view of this second embodiment.
Fig. 7 is a plan view of a detail of a third embodiment. Fig. 8 is an elevation view thereof. Fig. 9 is a plan view of a fourth embodiment.
Fig. 10 is a section taken along the line X-X of FIG. 9. FIG. 11 is an elevational view thereof. Fig. 12 is a view of a detail of FIG. 9 in which the member for adjusting the active length of the hairspring is released.
Fig. 13 is a plan view of a detail of a variant; and fig. 14 is an elevational view thereof. The racket represented in fig. 1 to 3 comprises a cockerel 1 fixed to a cock 2 and around which is rotatably mounted, with heavy friction, a balance-spring holder 3 which is thus coaxial with the balance, not shown, and which allows the balance to be placed in the mark. This hairspring holder has a rim 3a (fig. 2 and 3)
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
in which a recess 4 is provided, the bottom of which is a cylindrical wall.
An elastic blade 5 has four tabs 5b resting on the outer face of the rim 3a and two tabs 5a housed in the recess 4. This blade 5 is thus held elastically on the balance-spring holder. It has an extension 5c in which a slot 6 is made. The hairspring 7 passes through this slot in which it is elastically clamped. The point where this pinching takes place determines the active length of the hairspring. By moving the blade 5 along the rim 3a of the balance spring holder, the position of this point is modified. In addition, the hairspring is clamped between the rim 3a of the hairspring holder and the two lower tabs 5b, which keeps it in place.
The rim 3a finally has an arcuate thread 3b on which rests the end of the hairspring 7, which prevents it from moving intëmpestivment. To place and remove the hairspring, it suffices to tilt the elastic blade 5 into the position shown in phantom in FIG. 3. One of the lower tabs 5b then passes over the net 3b and the other slips upwards, thus freeing the hairspring.
The manufacture of the balance spring holder is very simple: in fact, its central hole as well as the clearance 4 are obtained by turning from a profiled wire. In the embodiment of FIGS. 4 to 6, the hairspring holder 8 has a flange 8a in which a clearance 9 is made. An elastic blade 10 is slidably mounted in this clearance. This elastic blade has a tongue 10a against which the hairspring 11 rests to determine its active length.
A curved plate 12, through which a screw 13 is screwed into the rim 8a of the hairspring holder, clamps the hairspring against this rim and holds it in place; this plate also presses, by means of an elastic blade 14, on the blade 10 to prevent it from moving inadvertently. When the screw 13 is loosened, the blade 14 automatically moves the plate 12 away from the rim 8a, which frees the hairspring 11. In the embodiment of FIGS. 7 and 8, the member for adjusting the active length of the hairspring is fixed as in the embodiment of FIGS. 4 to 6, but it consists of an elastic blade 15, part of which is split at 16 to elastically clamp the hairspring 17.
In the embodiment of the fi-. 9 to 12, the balance-spring holder 18 has a rim 18a in which a recess 19 is made, the bottom of which is a cylindrical wall. The member for adjusting the active length of the hairspring, consisting of an elastic blade 20, slides in this recess 19. It is held in place by an elastic plate 21 housed in two grooves 22 made in the rim 18a of the hairspring holder. The hairspring 23 is, moreover, clamped between this rim and this plate. During the adjustments, the plate 21 is brought into the position shown in FIG. 12, which frees the blade 20 and allows it to be moved.
In the variant of FIGS. 13 and 14, the member for adjusting the active length of the hairspring comprises two elastic blades 24 and 25 applied against each other and held in place on the hairspring holder by a plate, not shown, similar to the plate 21 of the previous embodiment. These blades 24 and 25 each have an extension 24a, 25a respectively, between which the hairspring 26 is clamped.
