Device for the treatment, in a receptacle, of a liquid by a gaseous fluid The present invention relates to a device for the treatment, in a receptacle, of a liquid by a gaseous fluid.
There are already aerator devices for the treatment of waste water or also for water intended for consumption. These positive devices make it possible to introduce into the water to be treated air which, by oxidation, acts on it.
Instead of air, one can naturally use another gaseous fluid, for example chlorine for the disinfection of water.
In known installations for the treatment of water, for example waste water, the latter is contained in vessels or containers into which pressurized air is introduced by means of fixed tubes, at the end of which there is a distributing organ. This organ becomes dirty with use, and it is necessary to carry out its periodic cleaning, which requires emptying the basin. Dispositive arms are also known, comprising an articulation at their base as well as in their middle part, immersed in the liquid, to allow the dispensing member to be brought back into a plane perpendicular to the wall of the basin above the surface. liquid for cleaning, without it being too far from the walls, to be easily accessible.
This type of arm is however expensive and one cannot envisage their use on a large scale, when it comes to equipping large installations.
The device according to the present invention comprises a pipe for supplying ga zous fluid under pressure, which is connected to a member for distributing this fluid in the liquid. This device is characterized by the fact that it comprises a pivoting arm consisting of a tube connected, on the one hand, to the supply line for the pressurized gaseous fluid and, on the other hand, to the distributor member, the articulation of this arm being located above the level of the liquid, so that, in one of its extreme positions, the distributor member is immersed in the liquid and that, in the other, it is located above above the level of the latter, the movements of the arm taking place in a plane parallel to one of the walls of the container.
The accompanying drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention, for treating waste water.
Fig. 1 is an elevation of the device placed along a wall of the container; fig. 2 is a cross section along the line 11-I1 of FIG. 1; fig. 3 shows, on a larger scale, a block on which the pivoting arm is articulated.
With reference to fig. 1 and 2 of the drawing, it can be seen that the pivoting arm 10 of the device rotates about an axis 11 perpendicular to the plane of FIG. 1 and to the wall 12 of the container containing the water to be treated. The arm 10 is constituted by a rigid tube, carrying at its lower end an elbow 13, to which is rigidly fixed a distributor member 14. It can be seen that the arm 10 and the member 14 form a right angle. The distributor member may be constituted by a perforated tube or by a stack of elements allowing the pressurized air arriving through the tube 10 or by an element made of porous material to pass between them.
So that the arm 10 and the member 14 occupy, in the low position of the device, the position shown in fi-. 1, that is to say with the organ 14 arranged horizontally, a stop member 15 is rigidly fixed in the wall 12, the correct position being able to be adjusted by means of a screw, screwed into the elbow 13.
The upper end of the arm 10 rotates around the horizontal axis 11, in a support block 16 rigidly fixed to the wall 12. This support block is connected to the pressurized air duct 20, shown in FIG. 2.
The arm 10 carries on its bent portion 17 a rigid rod 18, for fixing a control lever 19 (shown in broken lines), which allows the device to be brought from its low position, shown in solid lines to the top. fig. 1, in its high position, shown in broken lines, for cleaning or dismantling.
The operation of this device is as follows. When it is in the position shown in solid lines in the drawing, the dispensing member 14 is located below the level 21 of the liquid. The pressurized air, arriving through line 20, passes through arm 10 and exits through distributor 14 in the form of bubbles which pass through the entire layer of liquid lying above the distributor.
The aeration of the liquid is therefore perfect. When the member 14 is clogged and it must be cleaned or dismantled, the removable control lever 19 is introduced onto the rod 18 rigidly fixed to the arm 10 and the assembly 10 and 14 is rotated to bring it from its position. low position to its high position, located above the liquid (indicated by broken lines in Figs. 1 and 2).
The member 14 can then be cleaned or dismantled.
The treated liquid can of course be other than waste water. It may, for example, be potable water and the gaseous fluid may be anything other than air. It can be constituted, for example, by a disinfectant gas.
Fig. 3 shows the support block 16 on which the arm 10 is articulated. The elbow part 17 is extended at 22 beyond the collar 23 and this part passes through the block 16. The tube 22 is blocked at its end by a nut. 24 and seals 25 are interposed, on the one hand, between the block 16 and the flange 23 and, on the other hand, between the block 16 and the nut 24: The block 16 is hollow and its recess 26 surrounds the tube 22. The latter is provided with one or more openings 27, so that, in all its positions, the compressed air supplied by the tube 28 arrives at the arm 10 and at the distributor member 14.
The block can naturally be planned and executed in a way other than that described and shown in FIG. 3. It can, for example, be made so as to support two arms 10 with distributor members 14, as shown in FIG. 1, or the arrangement may be provided so that a single pressurized air duct 20 simultaneously supplies two blocks 16 as shown in FIG. 2.
