Fig.1 einen Querschnitt eines ersten Aus- führungsbeispiels,
Drying apparatus, in particular for laundry The present invention relates to a drying apparatus, in particular for laundry, in which a housing with openings, for. B. holes or slots in the jacket provided drum runs.
This drum intended for receiving the goods to be dried is provided with 1Titnehmer inside, and means are available to promote warm drying air through the rotating drum -a. This purpose can, for. B. a fan and a heating device are used for the air conveyed by the fan.
The drying effect of such apparatus depends, among other things, on the length of the path that the drying air travels in the drum.
The drying apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that the drying air inlet into the drum housing is provided by two air intakes arranged on one side of the drum at the drum ends, i.e. at a distance from each other, and the air outlet from the drum housing through one on the other drum side at least approximately in the longitudinal center of the drum arranged air outlet opening is formed.
In addition, shut-off devices can be arranged at a suitable point, which prevent the dripping air from flowing directly from the inlet openings to the outlet opening, bypassing the drum, so that air flows in opposite spirals from both drum ends. can swirl through the drum up to its longitudinal center, where they unite and flow out together through the outlet opening - the drum housing can be a prismatic housing,
be designed, for example, with a square cross section, it being possible to arrange sealing strips directed radially against the drum on the longitudinal center lines of the housing surfaces.
This creates separate air chambers formed by the corners of the housing and the drum shell, two of which form the air inlet and air outlet. In addition, these corner chambers are suitable to reduce and compensate for the flow velocity of the air and thus favorably influence the efficiency of the apparatus.
A drying apparatus according to the invention can also be designed for a continuous process.
For this purpose, as in known vibrating systems, a long drum that is loosely rotatable in support rollers can be provided, which is open on both end faces. Either by setting the drum axis at an angle or by arranging guide vanes in an appropriate spiral, it can be
that the wet laundry poured into the input end opening is conveyed through the entire length of the drum to the removal end opening and is dried and loosened in this way, so that the laundry items can be removed piece by piece at the removal opening or fall out without the need to knock out the laundry items afterwards .
The present invention creates the most essential prerequisite for such a very advantageous design of a laundry drying machine. The air flow systems of conventional drying devices would have the consequence
d 'that hot air would flow out at open foreheads and would hinder the operating personnel here, apart from the fact that a large part of the hot air would be lost unused. A training according to the invention should cause
that no hot air escapes even at the open forehead, on the contrary, if. behind the housing a particularly strong moisture-enriched part of the circulating air is excreted and discharged into the open, so you can see
that the fresh air to replace this excreted air flows in at the open front ends and has a pleasantly cooling effect.
Exemplary embodiments of drying apparatuses according to the invention are shown in the drawing. Show it:
1 shows a cross section of a first exemplary embodiment,
FIG. 2 is a horizontal diametrical section along the line II II of FIG. 3 shows a cross section along the line III-III of FIG. 4 and FIG. 4 shows a section along the line IV-IV of FIG. 3,
5 shows a partially sectioned side view and FIG. 6 shows a cross section through a second embodiment.
In the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1-4, a drum 2 is rotatably mounted in a square-prismatic drum housing 1, the jacket of which is provided with openings, for example holes or slits, and ribs or blades in the interior 20 are installed as driver elements.
The drum housing 1 is provided with an end door 10 and the drum end face 21 arranged behind this door is open, while the rear drum end wall 22 is closed.
The space between the inner sides of the drum housing 1 undl of the drum mel 2 is divided by four Dichtungslei arranged on the longitudinal center lines of the housing walls 11 into four corner chambers formed by the housing corners and the drum shell. The two sealing rings 12 border the frontal intermediate spaces between drum 2 and
Housing 1 from the named corner chambers. The drum 2 rotates in the direction of arrow P under the action of drive elements, not shown. It should be flowed through by hot, low-moisture drying air.
For this purpose, a fan 30 with an intake pipe 31 and a paddle wheel 32 is installed below the drum housing 1 in a fan chamber 3.
The paddle wheel 32 drives the air supplied through the intake port at the axle to the periphery of the fan housing 30, on which an outer pipe 33 and an inner pipe 34 are attached tangentially according to FIGS. 3 and 4. These two exhaust pipes are separated from one another by a partition 35,
.whose end edge is separated from the SchaiifeIrad # periphery only by a very small air gap. The free end of the guide plate 35 directed towards the Sehaufelrad 32 should be parallel to the axis of the outer one. Blow-out pipe 33 be oriented,
while the other part of the baffle is approximately parallel to the direction of the inner exhaust pipe. The partition is bent in such a way that the inlet cross section 330 to the outer blow-out pipe 33, which leads into the open, is significantly smaller than the inlet cross-section 340 to the inner blow-out pipe 34, which opens into the blower chamber 3.
The guide plate 35 can be adjustable in order to be able to change the ratio of the cross-sections 330 and 340. The suction pipe 31 sucks the air from the drum housing 1 at its air outlet opening 5 located in the longitudinal center of the drum 2 in the direction of the arrow a. Also, the water driven out of the laundry by the spin action of the drum flows out of the drum housing 1 through the opening 5 and the suction nozzle 31 to the fan 30.
The air that is most saturated with water and, above all, the water droplets are thrown most of all against the periphery of the fan 30 by the rotating paddle wheel 32 and can thus be discharged into the open through the outer blow-out roller 33.
In the blower room 3 there is an overpressure, and provision is made for the air in this room to be heated by means of pre-connections (not shown). The hot and dry air from room 3 can flow through the two inlet openings 41 and 42 arranged at the drum ends and on the other side of the drum 2 as the outlet opening 5 in the direction of the arrows b into one of the corner chambers of the drum housing, whence them in two opposing spiral trains Z,
and Z2 flows from the ends of the drum 2 to the longitudinal center thereof. The merging spiral flows are sucked into the suction port 31 of the fan through the outlet opening 5 arranged there in the direction of the arrow a. One of the upper corner chambers of the drum housing 1 can be closed with a fresh air <RTI
ID = "0003.0043"> supply opening must be provided so that the air that is passed through the pipe 33 into the open can be replaced there.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, which is designed for a continuous drying process, runs in an approximately cylindrical drum housing 1 ', loosely rotatably mounted on support rollers 7' and driven by these in the direction of arrow P, for a relatively long time Drum 2 '. Their coat is perforated and their front sides are completely open.
In the interior of the drum 2 ', guide vanes 20' are arranged to take along the laundry. These are intended to convey the wet laundry entered at 2a over the entire length of the drum 2 'to the removal opening 2b.
Here, too, radially arranged sealing strips 11 'and spur rings 12' are intended and designed to form chambers that are delimited by the drum shell and the drum housing wall.
In Gebläseraxun 3 'under the drum housing 1' are shown in Fig. 5 and 6 at both drum ends fans 30a and 30b is built. It is provided here that the air outlet opening 5 'arranged in the longitudinal center of the drum leads from the drum housing to a chamber 50, to which a heating register 8a, 8b is connected on both sides, with sieves 80a, 8b at the inputs to the heating registers.
80b are arranged. The air heated in the home registers is sucked in through the suction nozzles 31a, 31b of the fan. The air blown out by the fans reaches the two air inlet openings 4a and 4b via two exhaust pipes 34a and 34b,
.which are far apart because they are arranged at the drum ends on a different side than the opening 5 '. Here, too, it is provided, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, on the blowers with the aid of adjustable partition plates 35 ', to divert part of the circulating air through an outer exhaust pipe 33' into the open.
The circulating air enters the drum housing 1 'in the direction of the arrows b through the separate inlet openings 4a, 4b, twirls in two counter-rotating turns towards the longitudinal center of the drum and leaves the drum housing 1' at the outlet opening 5 located in the longitudinal center 'in the sense of the arrows a.
No hot air escapes at the open ends, but fresh scent flows in there (arrows c), initially to replace the air ziz diverted at 33 '.
