Rail vehicle with at least two pairs of wheels The present invention relates to a rail vehicle with at least two pairs of wheels and aims to avoid tilting of axles with respect to the associated wheel axles in a simple manner.
This is. According to the invention it is sufficient that for at least one of these pairs of wheels a pivotable carrier is provided on a frame of the vehicle, which carries the two axle bearings and rigidly connects them to one another, the frame being resiliently supported on this carrier.
The mentioned frame can e.g. B. be a chassis frame or the frame of the car body, if no chassis are available. The pivotable carrier can also be used to carry the Bremsein direction for braking the pair of wheels, whereby the vehicle suspension is avoided during braking.
Since the pivotable carrier is already provided for the axle bearing, no additional bearings are required for the braking device, as in known arrangements where a special support for the braking device is provided on the vehicle frame and on the wheel axle. Disk brake devices or also the usual block brake devices can be provided.
In the case of external bearings, the carrier is formed with a bracket-shaped part, with an axle bearing being arranged on each bracket arm and the arms being guided by vertical guides with respect to the vehicle frame; the pivoting mounting on the chassis is preferably arranged in the middle of the bracket.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown.
1 shows the elevation of the chassis of a rail vehicle, and FIG. 2 shows the associated floor plan, the chassis frame being partially broken away.
The chassis shown has two pairs of wheels. A carrier 2 is pivotably mounted on both sides of the chassis frame 1 by means of the bearing 3. The braking device 4, which is known per se and acts on the wheel set 5, is arranged on the carrier 2. The load is transferred from the chassis frame 1 via the springs 6 to the two legs of the bow-shaped carrier 2 to which the axle bearings 7 are attached.
Within the springs 6 there is a vertical guide 8, which is shown in section on the left in FIG. 1 and: which leads together with the bearing 3 glass axle bearings 7 relative to the chassis frame 1. Of course, other known types of springs and / or guides can also be provided instead of the springs 6 and guides 8 shown. In particular, it is also sufficient to provide only one spring.
In the construction described, the axle bearings cannot tilt in relation to the wheel axles, since the axle bearings are rigidly connected to one another by the carrier.
