Fig. 1 ein Axialschnitt durch den Behäl- ter.
container
The invention relates to a container with a container wall made of non-metallic material that is laminated on its inside and with a sealing membrane that is glued to the inside of the container wall.
In known containers of this type, the membrane has a Laek or synthetic resin film which serves as a means of fastening the membrane to the inner lining of the container wall. The film is made adhesive by heating. In other previously known designs, in the area of the membrane, the inner casing of the container wall z. B. by means of a spray gun an adhesive.
All these known solutions have the disadvantage that the means connecting the membrane and the container wall, be it a film or applied adhesive, does not form a sufficiently solid and tight connection with the inner lining of the container wall, especially if the caseholding is still varnished.
The container according to the invention is characterized in that the inside of the container wall in the area of the membrane is lamination-free and the membrane is attached to the caseholding-free zone of the inside of the wall by means of an adhesive layer applied in a liquid state. Since the caseholding-free zone made of non-metallic material, e.g. B. cardboard, existing container wall in contrast to the lamination, the z.
If, for example, it consists of an aluminum covering, is not smooth, but is porous, the adhesive applied in the liquid state connects much more intimately with the container wall than it would with the lamination.
In a preferred embodiment, the adhesive layer overlaps the lamination of the inside of the wall so that nothing of the material in the container can enter the joint between the adhesive layer and the adjacent lamination and attack the non-metallic material of the container wall.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the container according to the invention and a detailed variant.
In it is
1 shows an axial section through the container.
FIG. 2 shows a detail of FIG. 1, likewise in an axial section, but on a larger scale.
FIG. 3 illustrates the detailed variant in a section corresponding to FIG. 2.
The container can be any, e.g. B. circular, oval or angular cross-section. The container shown has the same cross-section over its entire height. It could, however, be conical or pyramid-shaped, or have another shape.
The container wall 1 consists of non-metallic material, for. B. Cardboard. It has a lamination 2 on its inside, which z. B. can consist of an aluminum coating and which stops at a distance from the top edge of the container and the lower edge of the container, so that both in the area of the metal (z. B. aluminum) or another material existing impressions 3 and in the area of the z. B. made of cardboard or metal bottom 4 on the inside of the wall a lamination-free zone 5 or
6 consists. On the vertical part 7 of the cover 3 is a sealing membrane 8 z. B. made of aluminum foil, which extends by means of a flange 12 to over the upper edge 9 of the wall 1 and the vertical part 10 of which is also wholly or partially in the area of the caseholding-free zone 5 of the container wall 1. The vertical part 7 of the cover 3 has an outer circumferential bead 11 which prevents the loosely attached membrane 8 from falling off the cover 3 as long as the cover and membrane are not yet placed on the wall 1. This bead 11 is particularly two-dimensional if the cover and membrane are made of metal, that is to say both parts are very smooth.
The vertical part 10 and the flange 12 of the membrane 8 are attached by a layer of adhesive 13 adhering to them to the casehardening-free zone 5 and to the upper edge 9 of the container wall, which is also cased-free. This adhesive layer overlaps the lamination 2 by a little at 14. The flange 12 of the membrane 8 could also be omitted.
The adhesive layer 13 is applied to the wall 1 as a liquid adhesive in a suitable consistency and in sufficient quantity on the zone 5 and the edge 9 of the wall 1 by means of a tool, e.g. B. painted on. The adhesive chosen is preferably one that does not become brittle after drying, but remains elastic and dries in the air. The adhesive can e.g. B. consist of polyvinyl acetate or vinyl acetate, both of which are relatively viscous and dry in the air and leave no odor.
Furthermore, these adhesives are transparent in the dry state, that is to say not or only visibly visible. Because of the good adhesion of the adhesive to the porous zone 5, the membrane is attached to the wall 1 which is impermeable to water vapor. To accelerate the drying process, after placing the cover with the membrane on the wall 1, the container can be placed in an oven or the adhesive joint can be heated in some other way.
If very low demands are made on freedom from odors, the adhesive applied to the container wall 1 can be allowed to air dry before the lid with the membrane is put on, the cover and membrane can be put on after drying and then heated as the outside Vinyl acetate or polyvinyl acetate existing adhesive is thermoplastic. You can proceed in the same way with thermoplastic adhesive of another type.
In certain cases it was also possible to change the adhesive, e.g. Use e.g. varnish or ordinary glue.
The bottom 4 is also attached to the wall 1 by an adhesive layer applied in the above manner in the liquid state to the zone 6 of the wall 1. The lamination 2 can also go down, especially if the bottom is not made of metal, but z. B. made of cardboard, so a porous material. Normally a sheet metal base is folded on and the lamination extends to the lower edge of the wall 1.
FIG. 3 differs from FIG. 2 only in that an outer screen 15 occurs on the cover 3 instead of a bead 11. The membrane 8 then assumes the shape of the sieve when it is glued in, so that the lid holds securely until it reaches the consumer and until it is opened for the first time.
After the first opening, the effect of the sieve 15 partially disappears, so that repeated opening can then easily be carried out.
In the case of container walls that are provided with an inner lining over their entire height, the latter can be clad via the adhesive zone or zones, e.g. B. mill away or otherwise remove. This can be recommended in particular when it is a question of obtaining a casement-free zone with an exactly constant height over the circumference of the wall 1.
The container shown and described closes hermetically. It preferably has a sealing membrane 8 made of metal. But you could also be made of non-metal, e.g. B. paper or a plastic. The container is suitable for any content, regardless of whether it is for solid or liquid goods.
To open the container, the cover 3 is pulled out of the membrane 8 and then the membrane z. B. by means of a knife along the circumference of its base. Afterwards, the cover 3 can be put on and removed for repeated use as often as desired.
