Automate comprenant une pièce à musique La présente invention a pour objet un automate comprenant une pièce à musique, présentant un boîtier avec couvercle et une fi gurine portée par un axe destiné à osciller axia- lement et monté libre dans un canon, cet auto mate étant caractérisé par le fait que la figurine est reliée audit axe au moyen d'un élément élastique, de façon qu'elle puisse être amenée de la position debout à une position couchée lorsque le couvercle du boîtier est fermé, des moyens étant aménagés pour commander les oscillations de l'axe susmentionné à l'aide de la pièce à musique.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exem ple, une forme d'exécution de l'automate mu sical objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 en est une vue en coupe suivant I-I de la fig. 2 ; la fig. 2 est une vue en coupe suivant<I>11-11</I> de la fig. 1 ; la fig. 3 est une vue en coupe agrandie d'un détail de construction.
L'automate musical représenté comprend un boîtier 1 pourvu d'un couvercle 2 et d'une pièce à musique 3 comportant une platine 14 fixée au moyen de vis 4 ; la pièce 3 est recou verte par un plateau 21 fixé sur deux parois latérales 5 engagées entre deux guides 6 du boîtier 1. La pièce à musique 3 comprend un barillet 7 dont le ressort est destiné à être remonté au moyen d'une clé 8 ; la roue dentée du barillet 7 actionne, par l'intermédiaire d'une roue den tée 9, un axe 10 portant une roue dentée 11, un tambour porte-goupilles 12 et une roue dentée 13.
La roue dentée 11 est destinée à actionner un volant non représenté.
Sur la platine 14 est fixé, au moyen d'une vis 15, un support coudé 16 ; sur ce dernier est montée rotativement l'une _ des extrémités d'une tringle coudée 17, dont l'autre extrémité est pourvue d'un plateau 18 ; cette tringle 17, prenant appui sur la denture de la roue 13, s'engage entre les dents de cette dernière, puis surmonte celles-ci lorsque la pièce à musique 3 est actionnée ; en passant du sommet d'une dent dans un creux de la roue 13, la tringle 17 oscille sur le support 16 et imprime un mou vement de monte et baisse au plateau 18.
Sur celui-ci prend librement appui l'une des extré mités d'un axe 19 monté fou dans un canon 20 fixé au travers du plateau 21 et dont l'au tre extrémité est, par l'intermédiaire d'un man chon 22, reliée à un ressort à boudin 23 por tant une figurine 24 ; celle-ci présente deux jambes articulées 25 destinées à prendre ap pui sur le plateau 21 lorsque le plateau 18 est en position basse. L'automate représenté fonctionne comme suit Lorsque le couvercle 2 est ouvert et le res sort du barillet 7 remonté, l'axe 10 est actionné rotativement et entraîne, entre autres, la roue dentée 13 ;
cette dernière imprime, par l'in termédiaire de la tringle 17, un mouvement de monte et baisse au plateau 18 et, par celui-ci, un mouvement axial oscillatoire à l'axe 19 et à la figurine 24.
En fermant le couvercle 2, le fond de celui- ci exerce une pression sur la figurine 24 et l'amène dans une position couchée en provo quant une déformation du ressort 23, et l'im mobilisation de l'axe 19 et, par celui-ci, celle du plateau 18, de la tringle 17 et de la roue 13, ce qui assure, par conséquent, l'arrêt de la pièce à musique 3.
II est prévu, dans une variante d'exécu tion, de remplacer le ressort 23 par un élément en caoutchouc, ce dernier pouvant être fixé à ses extrémités, respectivement à la figurine 24 et à l'axe 19 ; l'élément en caoutchouc peut également constituer un appendice de la figu rine 24, son extrémité libre étant alors fixée à l'axe 19.

The musical automaton shown comprises a housing 1 provided with a cover 2 and a music piece 3 comprising a plate 14 fixed by means of screws 4; part 3 is recou vert by a plate 21 fixed on two side walls 5 engaged between two guides 6 of the case 1. The music part 3 comprises a barrel 7 whose spring is intended to be wound up by means of a key 8; the toothed wheel of the barrel 7 actuates, by means of a toothed wheel 9, an axis 10 carrying a toothed wheel 11, a pin holder drum 12 and a toothed wheel 13.
The toothed wheel 11 is intended to actuate a flywheel, not shown.
On the plate 14 is fixed, by means of a screw 15, an elbow support 16; on the latter is rotatably mounted one of the ends of an angled rod 17, the other end of which is provided with a plate 18; this rod 17, bearing on the teeth of the wheel 13, engages between the teeth of the latter, then overcomes them when the musical piece 3 is actuated; by passing from the top of a tooth in a hollow of the wheel 13, the rod 17 oscillates on the support 16 and gives an up and down movement to the plate 18.
One of the ends of a shaft 19 mounted loosely in a barrel 20 fixed through the plate 21 and the other end of which is freely supported on the latter by means of a sleeve 22, connected to a coil spring 23 por as a figurine 24; the latter has two articulated legs 25 intended to take ap pui on the plate 21 when the plate 18 is in the low position. The machine shown operates as follows When the cover 2 is open and the res comes out of the barrel 7 reassembled, the axis 10 is actuated in a rotary manner and drives, among other things, the toothed wheel 13;
the latter prints, by means of the rod 17, an up and down movement on the plate 18 and, through the latter, an oscillatory axial movement on the axis 19 and on the figure 24.
By closing the cover 2, the bottom of the latter exerts pressure on the figurine 24 and brings it into a lying position, causing a deformation of the spring 23, and the immobilization of the axis 19 and, by that here, that of the plate 18, of the rod 17 and of the wheel 13, which consequently ensures the stopping of the music piece 3.
Provision is made, in an alternative embodiment, to replace the spring 23 with a rubber element, the latter being able to be fixed at its ends, respectively to the figure 24 and to the pin 19; the rubber element can also constitute an appendage of the figure 24, its free end then being fixed to the axis 19.
