Description
Pipeline made of electrically insulating material The present invention relates to a pipeline made of an electrically insulating material, such as. B. polyethylene, PolS - invl- chloride or the like. It often happens that such lines are used for liquids that freeze in cold weather.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate this risk in such pipelines, in that electrical conductors having the properties of heating resistors are seen in at least two parts of the pipe wall running parallel to the pipe axis.
On the accompanying drawing, three embodiments of the subject invention are illustrated.
Fig.1 is. a longitudinal section through a section of a pipeline according to the first embodiment; Fig. \? is a cross section through this pipeline; 3 and 4 are cross-sections through pipelines according to the second and third embodiment.
The pipe a according to FIGS. 1 and 2 be made of a thermoplastic material, such as. B. polyethylene, Polyvinvl chloride or the like, although they are also made of a different electrically insulating material, such as. B. rubber, could exist. It is expediently manufactured using the so-called extrusion process. In the same operation, electrical conductors b are provided on two opposite, parallel to the pipe axis parts of the pipe wall wall, which, when the pipeline is laid, can be used to conduct electricity.
It would also be possible to provide a larger number of conductors evenly distributed around the pipe wall.
In one case as in the other, these conductors have the resistance properties of stimulus wires in order to be able to warm the liquid flowing through the pipeline if necessary and thus to prevent the same from freezing in cold weather.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the electrical conductors b are embedded in bead parts a1 of the pipe wall running parallel to the pipe axis.
The pipeline according to FIG. 4 has, similarly to the pipeline according to FIG. 3, hollow bead parts a2, which, however, are slotted in the longitudinal direction so that the electrical conductors b can be subsequently inserted into these bead parts here. The purpose of these conductors, however, is the same, namely that of carrying current when the pipeline is laid for stimulation purposes.
The subject of the invention is referred to as a pipe line. been. In most cases, this line will be flexible, so that this term also includes a hose line.
