Description
Pipeline made of electrically insulating material In. In many cases, it is desirable or necessary between certain points of pipelines that are used to transport liquids, gases or air, electrical pulses or an electrical current to operate communications, signals, measurement, registration or other before directions or to drive electric motors.
So far this was done by the pipelines (which also includes hose lines) independently manufactured and used separately from this electrical conductor.
The invention now relates to a pipe consisting of an electrically insulating material, which is characterized in that an electrical conductor is provided in at least one part of the pipe wall running parallel to the pipe axis.
On the accompanying drawing, three embodiments of the subject invention are illustrated.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through a portion of a pipeline according to the first embodiment; Fig. 2 is a cross section through this pipeline; 3 and 4 are cross-sections through pipelines according to the second and third embodiment.
The pipe a according to Figure 1 and 2 be made of a thermoplastic material, such as. B. polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride or the like, although they are also made of another electrically insulating material, such as. B. rubber, could exist. It is expediently produced according to the so-called extrusion process. In the same operation, electrical conductors b are seen on two opposing, parallel to the pipe axis extending parts of the pipe wall before, which, when the pipeline is laid, can be used to conduct current with regard to the purposes mentioned above.
If necessary, the pipeline a could be provided with a single conductor b . In this case, earth would have to be used as a second conductor to conduct electricity. However, it would be possible to provide a larger number of conductors evenly distributed around the pipe wall.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the electrical conductors b are embedded in bead parts ai of the pipe wall running parallel to the pipe axis.
The pipeline according to FIG. 4 has, similar to the pipeline according to FIG. 3, hollow bead parts a2, but these are slotted in the longitudinal direction so that the electrical conductors b can be inserted into these bead parts afterwards. The purpose of this conductor is the same, namely that of the current conduction when the pipe is laid with regard to the purposes mentioned above.
The main advantage of the pipelines described above is that when they are laid, the electrical conductors intended for carrying current are also laid in the same operation, without the need for special means for arranging them under, on or above the floor are.
Instead of using wires as electrical conductors, B. strands or tapes are used.
The subject of the invention has been designated as a pipe line. In most cases, this line will be flexible, so that this term also includes a hose line.
