Control device for stopping a machine part in a predetermined position The task at hand is, for example, to stop the work spindle of a machine tool in a specific position in order to unclamp the finished workpiece and clamp a new piece. By fulfilling this requirement, the aim is to avoid the worker being forced to turn the spindle by hand after the drive has been stopped until the correct position is reached. only chosen as an example. There are also other working and processing machines for which the same requirement is made.
To solve this problem, there are already a number of proposals, according to which, in addition to the actual drive motor, a small auxiliary motor is provided, which brings the shaft to be braked into the braking position and stops after the drive motor is switched off. The effort for this is considerable and is only possible for special cases, in particular for very heavy machines with large centrifugal masses of the drive motor.
In most cases, controls that do not require such an auxiliary motor will be preferable. For example, it has been proposed to design the control system in such a way that a brake is applied first, which reduces the speed of the machine to be shut down to a certain minimum value. When this value is reached, the brake is released again so that the shaft runs freely.
With. the shaft is coupled to a switch that is closed in a certain position of the shaft and gives a control command for still. This arrangement is. much easier than that with an auxiliary engine.
The invention seeks to further simplify known controls. According to the known proposals, it assumes that the machine part is initially braked to a low speed after actuation of a first control command transmitter and is braked firmly after reaching this speed and switching on a second control command transmitter, which is switched on depending on the speed \.
The invention consists in that a position-dependent contactor is provided which consists of a rotating contact piece coupled to the machine part to be monitored and a fixed, adjustable contact piece and is connected to the circuit switched by the second control command transmitter as a function of the speed,
which is only closed by this giver when a certain minimum speed is reached.
The novelty of this circuit is that the position-dependent contactor is continuously opened and closed during normal operation of the machine, without stopping commands being issued, since the power supply of this switching device is interrupted.
Only when the speed has decreased accordingly, i.e. the speed monitor has responded, the circuit is closed when the contactor is closed, so that the shutdown command is now given.
As already said, the still consists of two sub-steps, namely lowering the speed in the first step and locking in the second step. There are various options for carrying out this process, which can be carried out most conveniently using electro-magnetic clutches. You can, for example, provide two electromagnetic clutches, one of which acts as a brake in the first step, which causes a corresponding deceleration of the drive, while the second is then used to brake.
But you can also work with just one clutch, which is initially excited to such an extent that it slips and brakes, and which then quickly brakes the driven part as a result of increased excitation.
The invention will be explained on the basis of a Ausfüh approximately example that shows the general structure in Fig. 1 and the circuit in Fig. 2 device. Fig. 2a shows a possible execution of the position-dependent command transmitter.
In the assumed game Ausführungsbei it is a question of stopping the chuck 1 of a grinding machine in a certain position. The chuck 1 is driven by an electric motor 4 via the gear 2 and a V-belt drive 3.
With the chuck 1, a switching device is coupled, which is only effective in a certain position of the chuck 1, namely this consists (see also Fig. 2a) of a fixed, but rotationally adjustable disk 5 made of insulating material with a contact segment 6 and a rotating brush 7 which is connected to the shaft 8 of the chuck 1. 9 and 1.0 are the power lines to this Kontakteinrich device.
The arrangement is designed so that the braking circuit is only established when contact 7 meets contact segment 6, that is, only at the moment when the chuck has assumed a certain position. It is of course not necessary for the contact device 5 to 7 to be coupled to the shaft 8; it can also be connected to another part of the drive, provided that it is only from here that a position dependency with respect to the chuck 1 is created.
In addition, a brake clutch 11 and a speed monitor 12 are also provided in the arrangement, the effect of which will be explained with reference to FIG.
The operation of the drive is through a selector switch 13 with the three positions. A,., <Braking and free determined. The position of the selector switch shown corresponds to the initiation of the braking process. For a better understanding, however, the transition to the operating position should first be considered. The arm 16 of the selector switch 13 is brought into the position A for this purpose, so the braking circuit is interrupted. Switching arm 17 is closed for this. Going to happen now. If the one push button 18 is pressed, voltage is applied to the motor contactor 19, which closes its self-holding contact 20 and puts the motor 4 into operation.
The chuck runs around and with it the contact arm 7 of the switching device according to FIG. 2a. However, any switching commands are not given here, since, as I said, the braking circuit is interrupted by the selector switch 16. The drive should now be stopped. Selector switch 16 is therefore brought into the position shown. As a result, since contact 17 opens, motor contactor 19 and thus the drive motor itself are switched off. However, the motor is still running so fast that the speed monitor makes contact with its contact arm 12. 14 leaves.
This creates a current path for the winding of the brake clutch 11, but not directly, but via an adjustable resistor 21. The brake clutch 11 is therefore excited, but not fully, so that it grinds and thus acts as a brake, but has no stopping effect yet. Now the speed continues to decrease, with the result that the speed monitor arm 12 switches to contact 15. The switching arm 7 initially runs on the insulating part of the Schaltvorrich device.
If it now runs onto the contact segment 6, the resistor 21 is bridged, the brake clutch 11 receives the full excitation voltage and the chuck 1 is stopped in the predetermined position. Of course, if the circulating wetness is large, the standstill command will, under certain circumstances, be given via contacts 6 and 7 a little before the required position is reached in order to take account of the overrun, but this does not change the idea that a deceleration up to to a low speed and only then is the brake applied.
If the selector switch 1.3 is switched to the free position, both the motor and the brake clutch are switched off so that the chuck can be turned as required by hand.
