Single Barrel Wristwatch Alarm Clock movements can be divided into two groups depending on whether they have one or two motor barrels.
In alarm watches comprising two barrels, one of which activates the movement and the other the chime, a common device allows, after the chime has been blocked, to reset it to an alarm state by the control unit. re-assembly of the striking barrel.
In alarm watches comprising only a single barrel activating the movement by its drum and ringing by the recoil of its barrel shaft, the alarm reset is generally carried out by removing a locking device. separate from the winding member.
However, it is logical to be able to reset not only alarm clocks with two barrels but also alarm clocks with a single barrel, by the winding member, to an alarm state. If this is not yet the case, the cause must be found in the difficulty of designing a sim ple device applying to single barrel alarm clocks.
In almost all alarm clocks, but particularly in single barrel alarm clocks, the winding unit starts to turn, without any inconvenience, in the opposite direction to winding when the chime is in operation.
In a wristwatch-alarm clock, several reasons make it impossible to consider the rotation of the winding crown during the chime operation. The crown could be accidentally braked or even stopped by contact with the wrist or sleeve. This rotating crown would prevent the execution of a waterproof case. The friction of the winding gear train causes, independently of any accidental circumstance, a waste of the energy available for the ringing.
The present invention aims to provide a wristwatch-alarm clock with a single barrel with a device making it possible, after the chime has been blocked, to reset it to an alarm state by the rotation of the winding crown and to avoid at the same time the rotation of the latter during the operation of the ring.
This invention relates to a wristwatch-alarm with a single barrel having a single winding stem and a striking stop pusher, the alarm state of which is carried out by the rotation of the winding stem. which is characterized by a stop lever blocking the striking hammer when the pusher is in the depressed position, and by means for returning this lever to the unlocking position = cage, these means comprising a winding rocker rotating under the effect of the actuation of the winding stem in the winding direction and being arranged to prevent the rotation of said winding stem during operation of the chime.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view.
The fi-. 2 is a sectional view along 2a-2a of FIG. 1, for the left part and according to 2b-2b for the right part. The winding stem 1 carries the winding pinion 2, driven by the usual means not shown and which meshes with the crown wheel 3. A crown wheel 4, mounted coaxially with the pivoting 5 of the winding lever 6, is constantly in motion. taken on the one hand with the crown wheel 3, on the other hand with a ratchet reference 7 carried by the winding lever 6.
The ratchet return 7 is hand held disengaged from the barrel ratchet 8, not shown in section, under the effect of a return spring 9 carried by the barrel bridge 10 and acting on the winding lever 6. The angular movement of the winding lever 6 is limited by the extension of the leg 11 of the screw 12 engaged in a limiting hole 13 made in the barrel bridge 10. A rigid lug 14, integral with a plate 15 fitted in the barrel bridge 10, covers the return spring 9 and is held by a single screw 16. The rigid lug 14 engaged in the teeth of the ratchet return 7 opposes its rotation on itself.
By its beak 17, the winding lever 6 acts on a ringing stop lever 18 pivots at 19, and makes it pass from the ringing stop position called stop shown in solid lines to the so-called alarm position shown. in phantom lines in fig. 1; you can return to the stop position at any time by pressing a push-button 20 acting directly on the stop lever 18. A spring loaded 21 keeps the stop lever 18 in one or the other of the two stop or alarm positions.
Starting from the blocked strike position, shown in solid lines, the operation is as follows: when the winding rod 1 is actuated, the winding pinion 2, the crown wheel 3 and the crown guide 4 turn in the direction of arrows. The ratchet return 7 is stressed but the rigid lug 14 engaged in its teeth opposes its rotation and forces the winding lever 6 to turn until the ratchet return 7 leaves the rigid lug 14. L 'meshing of the return 7 with the barrel ratchet 8 is then sufficient for the winding resistance, greater than that of the return spring 9, forcing the return 7 to complete its engagement until the leg 11 of the screw 12 abuts against the wall of the limiting hole 13 made in the barrel bridge 10.
Meshing with the ratchet 8 is then ensured and the reassembly takes place. The rocker 6 has taken the position shown in phantom. In its rotation it moves the ringing stop lever 18 and causes it to pass from its stop position,> to its alarm position.
When one stops actuating the re-mount rod 1, the spring 9 returns the winding lever 6 to its rest position (solid lines) which releases the return 7 from the ratchet 9. It can be seen from the drawing that the lever winding is kept away from the barrel ratchet by a return spring except during the completion of the reassembly, which allows the barrel ratchet to rotate in the opposite direction of winding as soon as the chime is triggered. winder.
It should be noted that in the example shown the crown wheel 3, the crown wheel 4 and the ratchet reference 7 are three identical wheels.
