Description
Airtight Closure on Protective Sleeves, in particular those for neon tubes. The present invention relates to an airtight closure on protective sleeves, in particular those for neon tubes.
This airtight seal is characterized in that two pressure washers are arranged on a screw bolt located in the opening of the estimation cover between a stop and a screw nut, which keep a sealing element made of deformable material pressed together between them. that the seal,
material against the screw bolt on the one hand and the inner wall of the protective cover on the other hand so tightly that the closure holds the protective cover in place. and hermetically seals the inside from the outside.
In the attached drawing, an embodiment and application example of the subject of the invention is illustrated.
The figure shows a section through a ready-to-install florescent tube tube with a protective tube and a built-in starter element.
In the figure: 1 denotes a cylindrical protective tube closed at one end and made of transparent or translucent material, e.g. B. from a PolymetIiacryläure- niethy lester, commercially available under the brand Plexiglas, 2 one made of static resistant material, z.
B. off. Steel, be standing cover plate, which serves as a conclusion and as a hold for the protective tube and has a central hole to allow a threaded bolt 3 to pass through, at the end of which is located in the protective tube a support bracket 14 with the leg 4 is permanently attached.
The support bracket 14 is used to carry all parts of the lamp enclosed in the protective tube. The starter element 13 of the discharge tube 10 sits between the two bow legs 4 and 15.
A bracket 16, which carries a tube base 11 for the discharge tube 10, is attached to the leg 15. and to which one end of the spacer rod 12 is fixed. The other end of the spacer rod carries a disk 17 corresponding to disk 16, on which the second tube socket 18 is firmly attached.
The leg 4 of the support bracket 14 forms a stop for the centrally drilled disc 5 pushed onto the screw bolt. Between the disk 5 and the cover disk 2 of the protective tube is a sealant made of deformable sealing material, e.g.
B. made of artificial or natural rubber or lead, existing schei benförmiger and inserted centrally pierced part. When the nut 7 is screwed onto the screw bolt 3, the sealing element 6 is pressed together between the pressure disk 5 and the cover disk 2, whereby it is pressed against the screw bolt and the inner wall of the opened protective tube at the same time. This will make the protective tube
which rests on the flans @ hard cover plate 2 in such a way that part of its inner wall rests on the cylindrical part and the front end of the protective cover rests on the flat part of the press plate, sealed airtight and at the same time held on the cover plate.
The hollow screw bolt 3 is used to insert the cable 19, via which the discharge tube with starter element. is connected to an electrical energy source. Of course, the introduction of the cable 19 through the screw bolt must also be airtight. Means for this are known.
The bolt can be used directly to fasten the light to a carrier. be screwed onto a threaded support piece 9. The support piece 9 can also have a slightly larger bore than the screw bolt zen and the closure together. Light by clamping the Tragst.iiekes 9 between tween the mentioned nut 7 and a white direct fastening nut 8 attached. will.
The lamp can also be tube through the protection, for. B. by means of pipe clamps attached to a Trä ger. will.
Instead of, as described above, to run the stop 4 inside the protective tube and the press blade 5 resting against the stop as separate parts, these can also. consist of one piece that fulfills both tasks at the same time.
The airtight Hüllenvexsehluss was written in the above embodiment at the same time in its application to a tube light with fluorescent tube and starter element be.
It is not only possible to use a tube with a point light source or one or more incandescent lamps instead of the tube with a lighting path, but the closure is. also otherwise versatile.
