Circular loom. The subject of the invention is a circular loom comprising a device for compensating for the tension of the warp, this device being intended to maintain substantially constant the tension of the threads of the warp, so as to reduce the risks of breaking of the warp. warp threads. For example, when the pitch forming chain is opening, the tension applied to the threads of a group of yarns in the warp generally increases while, as the shuttle enters the pitch forming chain. , some of the wires are subjected to an additional increase in tension.
The loom which is the object of the present invention is characterized in that said device for compensating for the tension of the chain comprises a set of elastically sup ported rollers and on each of which a portion of the warp yarns passes to come to rest. a mechanism for the formation of the pitch that comprises said loom, each of these rollers being mounted so as to be able to move transversely with respect to said yarns, by translation as well as angularly with respect to its support.
The appended drawing represents, partially and by way of example, four embodiments of the weaving loom which is the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is a sectional elevation of part of the first embodiment, the latter comprising an accessory chain breaker.
Fig. 2 is a plan view. Fig. 3 is a sectional elevation of part of the second embodiment.
Fig. 4 is a plan view.
Fig. 5 is a sectional elevation of part of the third embodiment.
Fig. 6 is a plan view.
Fig. 7 is a sectional elevation of part of the fourth embodiment; and fig. 8 is a plan view.
The f'ig. 1 and 2 show only a single set of rollers of the device for compensating the tension of the chain that the first embodiment comprises, FIG. 1 further showing - -an chain breaker device that comprises this form of 'execution. As can be seen in these figures, warp yarns 10, coming from a beam not shown, extend over a smooth roller 11, around a similar roller 12, and around it. 'a bar 13, before reaching a step forming device, not shown.
The path of the son 10 is normally substantially horizontal between the rollers 11 and 12 and substantially vertical between the roller 12 and the bar 13 ,. A roll 14, however, extends across the threads 10, between the roll 12 and the bar 13, and draws these threads to one side so that the parts of each thread lying between the rollers 12 and 14 and between the roller 14 and bar 13 form an angle between them and are not vertical.
Each of the ends of the roller 14 is carried by the free end of a plunger 15 mounted so as to be able to slide with play in a guide 16 formed in a frame 17. Each plunger 15 passes coaxially through a coil spring 18 which works. compression and which bears, on the one hand, against a washer 19 applied, against the frame 17 and, on the other hand, against a washer 20 fixed to the plunger 15, all so that the roller 14 is biased towards the frame 17 and consequently pulls the warp threads 10 in the manner described above. The force applied to the roller 14 by the springs 18, 18 is substantially constant.
Therefore, any tendency that the threads 10 may have to loosen or tighten is compensated by a corresponding translation of the roller 14 in one direction or the other. If the tension of only a part of the threads 10 passing over the roller 14 tended to vary, the play with which the plungers 15 are mounted in the guides 16 allows a corresponding angular displacement of the roller 14 and this displacement compensates for such a variation. unequal tension.
In addition to the device for compensating the warp tension, this embodiment of the circular loom has means for compensating the tension of each warp thread. These means cooperate with Him as a device for stopping the trade. As shown in fig. 1, each wire 10 extending substantially horizontally between the roll 11 and the roll 12 passes through a guide member 40 in the form of an eyelet or hook, which has a smooth surface, and which is formed at the end of, the uue of the branches of a metal wire 41 in the shape of a U, the lower part of which is connected to the upper end of a weak spring 42.
The lower end of this spring passes through a hole made in a fixed support 43 and is fixed to this support by means of a ball 44, the whole so that any slight tendency for a variation in the tension of the wire 10 is compensated by the combined action of the weight of the U-shaped wire, 41 and the force of the spring 42 ,.
The metal wires 41 are arranged around a ring of insulating material 45 which extends all around the loom and which carries a conductive ring 46 on its upper edge, this ring 46 being electrically connected to a cir cuit for stopping the loom. . The arrangement is such that when a wire 10 breaks, the corresponding metal wire 41 falls under the effect of its own weight and the cooperating spring tension 42 and comes into contact with the ring 46, thus closing the circuit d. stopping the trade and causing the trade to stop.
The device for compensating the tension of the chain of the second embodiment partially shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, comprises a roller supported in its middle. A sleeve 21 comprising two metal bushings linked together by rubber (see FIG. 3), is force-fitted into a casing 22 which is pivotally mounted at 23.
A rod 24 is fitted to. force in the inner sleeve of the elastic sleeve 2: 1, and bears against a collar 25 of the casing 22, @de, so that any translational movement of, a roller 26 carried by this rod, transversely to the threads 10 , is braked by a spring 27 which works in traction and one end of which is connected to the end of the rod 24 op posed to the roller, while its other end is fixed at 28. The sleeve 21 has the effect to brake angular movements of the rod 24 with the roller 26, this because its inner sleeve is linked to its outer sleeve by rubber.
The rod 2'4 is rigidly attached to a collar 29 which carries an axis 30 around which parts of the roller 26 are rotatably mounted on bearings 32. As can be seen in fig.3, the second embodiment also comprises means for operating a device for stopping the loom. In this embodiment, each thread 10 passes substantially horizontally between a roller 11 and a roller 12 and, between these rollers, it passes through a #illet 48 formed in a needle 47. The # eyelet 48 constitutes the upper end of the thread. a slot 49 which fits over a guide bar 50 which extends all around the loom.
An insulated contact bar 51 which extends all around the loom passes through a slot 52 in the needle 47, above the eyelet 48. In its normal position, the needle 47 is isolated from the needle bar. contact 51. When the wire 10 breaks, the needle 47 may drop and then come into contact with an uninsulated upper part of the contact bar 51, thus closing a loom stop circuit and stopping the bar. this job.
The device for the chain tension compensation of the third embodiment is partially shown in fig. 5 and 6. This device closely resembles that described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4, except that it comprises, instead of the roller 26, a roller 31 which is curved so as to adapt to the general curvature of the loom and which cannot turn but is directly attached to a central rod 24.
Figs. 7 and 8 partially show the device for compensating the chain tension of the fourth embodiment. This device comprises a roller 33 which is mounted so as to be able to rotate freely at 34 on two levers 35 which are themselves pivotally mounted at 36. The roller 33 can only move by translation against the action of springs 37 connected. to each of the levers 35 and fixed on the other hand at 38.
A displacement of the roller 33 angularly relative to its supports is made possible by a clearance remaining between a projection 39 of this roller and the bottom and the edges of a hole forming a bearing and formed in each of the levers 35, so that the springs 37 can be stretched differently from one another without hindering the free rotation of the roller 33.
According to an embodiment not shown, each tensioning roller of the device for compensating the tension of the chain is mounted at the free end of at least one rod, the other end of each of these rods being mounted. in a rubber block, so that it can be rotated in different directions at an elastically controlled angle.
It will be understood that the device for the individual compensation of the tension of each of the warp threads and the chain breaker device described with reference to FIG. 1, as well as the chain breaker device described with reference to FIG. 3, can be used in conjunction with any of the chain tension compensation devices described.
