Description
Process for the preparation of a metallizable monoazo dye. The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of a metallizable monoazo dye, which is characterized in that 1.Mol of dianotated 1-amino-2-oxy-5-methylsulfonylbenzene with 1-mole of 1-acetylamino-8-oxynaphthalene in it 7- position clutch.
To achieve a coupling of the diazo body in the 7-position of the azo component, a concentrated caustic-alkaline medium is used.
The dye obtained in this way is new and is suitable for dyeing wool, silk and other nitrogen-containing fibers according to a post-chromating or egg bath chromating process. It can also be used as a substance metallized product.
In the following example, the parts are parts by weight.
Example: 19.2 parts of 1-amino-2-oxy-5-methylsulfoilylbenzene are mixed in 40 parts of water and 11 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid and anotized with 7 parts of sodium nitrite at 0-5 di. The diazo compound is salted out with 10 parts of sodium chloride, filtered off, pressed well and, with vigorous stirring, introduced into a mixture of 20 parts of 1-acetylamino-oxy-naphthalene and 100 parts of 34-hour sodium hydroxide solution.
After coupling is complete, the dye is deposited by diluting the mass with water and neutralization with acetic acid and then filtered off. It can be cleaned by reprecipitation from very dilute aqueous alkaline solutions. Dried. it is a blue-black powder which re-chromates wool and, after your one-bath chroming process, dyes it in pure purple tones with good light and wet fastness properties. The dye can also be metallized in substance. Its chromium complex compound provides valuable colors with very good properties.
