2-Oxynaphthalin, 1-Acetylamino-7-oxynaphthalin, 1-Benzoylamino-7-oxynaphthalin, 1.-Methansulfonylamino-7-oxy naphthalin, 2-Oxynaphthalin-6-sulfamid, 1-Oxynaphthalin, 1-Phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolon, Acetessiganilid usw.

Process for the preparation of monoazo dyes It has been found that valuable monoamino dyes are obtained if diazotized 1-amino-2-oxy-3,5-bis-acylaminobenzenes are used with. in the o-position to the oxy group reacts coupling oxy compounds which are free of Car- Bonsä.ure- and sulfonic acid groups.
The thus obtained o, o'-dioxy-monoazo dyes can with. metal-releasing agents are treated; the metallization in substance can take place either on its own or in a mixture with other metallizable monoazo dyes.
The new dyes are like that, for example. well suited for the single bath chrome process. The conversion into the metal complex compounds, preferably chromium complexes, takes place in substance in the usual way, e.g. B. in (currently organic solvents or in water with or without complex-forming compounds, such as oxalic acid, salicic acid, ethanolamine, etc.
The obtained by the present process dyestuffs yield on animal fibers, such as. B. wool, silk, and on leather durehweg level dyeings of very good lightfastness, good wetness and good manufacturing properties. Most of the dyes metallized in the substance have good drawability from neutral baths.
Acyl groups in the 1-amino-2-oxy-3,5-bis-aeylamino-benzenes used as the diazo component can be, for example, the formyl, acetyl, chloroacetyl, propionyl and the 4-thanesulfonyl group. Suitable coupling components for the production of the new dyes are, for. B.
2-oxynaphthalene, 1-acetylamino-7-oxynaphthalene, 1-benzoylamino-7-oxynaphthalene, 1.-methanesulfonylamino-7-oxynaphthalene, 2-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfamide, 1-oxynaphthalene, 1-phenyl-3-methyl- 5-pyrazolone, aceto-aceticanilide, etc.
The coupling is carried out in the usual manner in alkaline to neutral solution in the presence. acid-binding agents made. Example 1 22.3 parts by weight of 1-amino-2-oxy-3,5-bis-acetylaminobenzene are concentrated in 300 parts by weight of water with 24 parts by weight. Dissolved hydrochloric acid and diazotized at 0-5 with 6.9 parts by weight of sodium nitrite, dissolved in 30 parts by weight of water, the diazonium salt formed largely precipitating out.
The suspension of the diazonium salt is introduced at 1.0 to 15 with stirring in a solution of 14.5 parts by weight of 2-oxynaphthalene, 6 parts by weight of caustic soda and 10 parts by weight of soda in 200 parts by weight of water. A permanent alkaline reaction is maintained by adding soda. The dye formed is suctioned off and, when dried, is a black powder that dyes wool in dark blue shades of excellent light fastness and good wet fastness properties using the single-bath chrome process.
Example 2 22.3 parts by weight of 1-amino-2-oxy-3,5-bis-aeetylaminobenzene are dianotized as in Example 1 and in a soda-alkaline solution with 20.1 parts by weight of 1-acetylamino-7- oxynaphthalene coupled. The dye, which is isolated in the usual way, forms a blue-black powder and dyes wool in greenish gray shades of good fastness properties using the single-bath chromium process.
43.5 parts by weight of the above dye are refluxed in 500 parts by weight of hot water with an ammonium chromium oxalate solution corresponding to 7.6 parts by weight of chromium oxide until the metallization has ended. The precipitated chromium complex is suctioned off and dries. It forms a gray-black powder that evenly dyes wool from a neutral or weakly acidic dye bath in greenish gray tones with very good light and good wet fastness properties.
Example 3 43.5 parts by weight of the 1-amino-2-oxy-3,5-bis-acetylaminobenzene dianotated by coupling 22.3 parts by weight with 20.1 parts by weight of 1-acetylamino-7-oxynaphthalene The dye produced are boiled with a solution of ammonium cobalt carbonate (5.9 parts by weight of cobalt accordingly) until the complex formation has ended, and the cobalt complex formed is filtered off with suction and dried. It is a black powder that dyes wool from a weakly acidic bath in blue-gray shades with good fastness properties.
Example 4 The dye obtained by coupling 22.3 parts by weight of dianotized 1-amino-2-oxy-3,5-bis-acetylaminobenzene with 26.3 parts by weight of 1-benzoylamino-7-oxynaphthalene is reported 600 parts by weight of hot water are stirred, a solution of chromium salicylic acid sodium, corresponding to 7.6 parts by weight of chromium oxide, is added and the mixture is boiled until the complex is completely formed. The dye formed is filtered off with suction and dried.
It is a gray-black powder; the _'Atolle from neutral or weakly acidic bath dyes uniformly in greenish gray tones of good light and wet fastness.
If instead of 26.3 parts by weight of 1-benzoy 1-amino-7-oxy naphthalene 30 parts by weight of 2'-chlorobenzoy lamino-7-oxy naphthalene or 33.5 parts by weight of 2 ', - 1'-diehlorbenzolamino are used -7-oxynaphthalene, this is how dyes containing Ehrom are obtained which are even more effective on wool from a neutral bath.
The colors show greenish gray, very clear nuances and are very light, wet and light. Example 5 The 1-amino-2-oxy-3,5-bis-a.eetyl-aminobenzene dianotized by coupling 22.3 parts by weight of 1-phenyl-3-methyl -5-py razolon obtained dye is in 500 parts by weight of water with.
an ammonium chromium oxalate solution containing 7.6 parts by weight of chromium oxide, boiled and the chromium complex formed is isolated and dried as usual. A dark brown powder is obtained which uniformly dyes wool from a weakly acidic bath in red-brown shades of good fastness.
