<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 301409. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer neuen quaternären Ammonnumverbindung, das da cl'urch gekennzeichnet ist, da.ss man Di (oxy- äthyl) -hexadeeyloxyäthyl-#amin mit Benzyl- ehlorid zur Reaktion bringt..
Das neue kristalline Reaktionsprodukt. löst sieh in destilliertem und, hartem Wasser voll ständig klar mit, neutraler Reaktion und un ter starker 'Schaumbildung. Es hat, wertvolle higenschaften als Färbe-, Egalisier- und Avivagemittel. Mit äubstant.iven Farbstoffen.
bildet es Komplexverbindungen und erhöht to die Wasserechtheit substantiver Färbun- ;'en. Da es gleichzeitig ein Aufziehvermögen auf die Faser besitzt, kann man es als sub- stantives Avivagemittel bezeichnen.
Ausserdem besitzt. dieser Stoff eine starke bakterizide und bakteriostatische Wirkung und kann deshalb vorzüglich als Desinfektions- mittel verwendet werden. Beispiel: 1 Hol reines Di(oxyäthyl)-h exaeeyloxy- ithyl-amin (Kp. 192 bis 198 C/0,02' mm 1-I-) wird mit. 1 Moll reinem Benzylchlorid ver mischt und etwa 4 bis 6 ;Stunden. auf etwa 80 bis 100 C erwärmt.
Diese Reaktion kann ohne Zusätze oder unter Verwendung eines geeig- nieten Lösunittels erfolgen. Das Reaktions produkt kristallisiert und wird vorteilhaft aus eineue passenden Lösungsmittel wie zum Bei- spiel Essigsäi-treäthylester oder einem Gemisch von Essiggäureäthylester unid
