Gewindewalzkopf.
<B>3e"</B> infolge ihrer exzentri- sehen Lagerung auseinanderbewegt.
Thread rolling head. Thread rolling heads with rolling rollers arranged concentrically around a passage opening for the workpiece are known. In the case of such rolling heads, it was previously not possible to automatically switch off the rolling rollers from their working position after completing the desired thread length in such a way that they no longer touch the workpiece. Although it is known to provide the rolling rollers individually adjustable in the radial direction to set the Ge thread depth, there is no device that ensures a sufficiently fast and reliable switch-off of the rolling rollers depending on the ge desired thread length.
The invention therefore consists in the fact that the roll head that can be used on machine tools with a rotating work spindle, for example on any lathe, drill or the like, has two parts that are rotated against each other when the thread to be rolled is completed, with the effect of this rotation causing the effect - Bringing the rollers with the workpiece is effected.
The drawing shows four exemplary embodiments of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows an end view of a thread rolling head, which shows the rollers with the bearing plate removed, FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the roller head, FIG. 3 shows a plan view and FIG. 4 shows a rear view of the roller head according to FIGS. 1 and 2.
Fig. 5 to 7 show longitudinal section, plan view and cross section of the second embodiment.
Fig. 8 is a partial longitudinal section of the third and Figs. 9 and 10 are a longitudinal section and a cross section of the fourth embodiment.
Fig. 11 illustrates the three rollers of the tools on a larger scale and Fig. 12 shows the gradual rolling of the thread.
The roller head according to FIGS. 1 to 4 consists essentially of three roller rollers 3a, 3b, 3c mounted between two bearing plates 1 and 2, which have circular roller grooves on the circumference that are perpendicular to the roller axis. The rollers are concentric around a passage opening for the. With.
Thread to be provided workpiece studs arranged and inclined so that their axes form an angle W bil with that of the workpiece between the rollers, the size of which corresponds to the mean pitch angle or the pitch of the thread to be rolled. This angle W can be seen in FIG. 3, based on the roller 3a, which also shows that the two bearing plates 1, 2 are provided with inclined surfaces accordingly at 1 'and 2' of the inclined position of the rollers are.
The axes 5a, <I> 5b, </I> 5c of the roller rollers 3a, 3b, 3c are provided with eccentrics at 5a ', 5b', 5c ', on which the rollers are easily mounted, for example by means of needle or ball bearings. Gears 6a, 6b, 6c are provided on the ends of the axles 5a, <I> 5b, </I> <B> 5e </B> passing through the bearing plate 2, which are connected to a gearwheel 7 arranged concentrically around the workpiece axis comb, which is stored in the plate 2 secured against pulling out in a manner not shown and has a multi-spline profile in its bore,
so that it is able to slide on the appropriately profiled shaft 8 in the axial direction.
The two bearing plates 1, 2 are distan from each other by threaded bolts 9a, 9b, 9c, which are used at the same time to attach a housing 10 encapsulating the gears 6a, 6b, 6c and 7. For this purpose there are slots 10b in the housing 10 (see Fig. 4) through which the threaded ends of the bolts 9a, 9b, 9c penetrate. By tightening the nuts 9a ', 9b' 9c ', the housing 10 is attached to the bearing plate 2 (see also FIG. 2). In Ge housing 10, which together with the bearing plates 1 and 2 forms a coupling half of the roller head, there is a spiral cone spring 11, which is attached with its outer end to the housing 10 and with its inner end to the hollow shaft 8 with tension is who, together with its flange 8a, represents the other coupling half of the roller head.
For this purpose, the housing 10 (see FIG. 3) is provided with claws 10a and the flange 8a with counter claws Sb. The spring 11 is worked and tensioned in such a way that, with its spiral force, it on the one hand the shaft 8 and with it the gear 7 and the gears that mesh with this in the directions shown in FIG. 1 and thus the rollers 3a, 3b, 3c seeks to turn into the open position of the roller head. On the other hand, the spring 11 endeavors to hold the two coupling halves at 8b, 10a in the closed position with an axially directed spring force. A handle 12 is attached to the outside of the housing 10.
The operation of the roller head is as follows: After the nuts 9a ', 9b', 9c 'are loosened, by turning the housing 10 against the bearing plates, so that the threaded bolts slide in its seat strands 10b, the gear wheel together with the shaft 8 7 rotated and via the gears 6a, 6b, 6e and eccentrics 5a ', 5b', 5c ', the opening between the rollers is adjusted accordingly to the diameter of the work rope to be provided with a thread and the required rolling pressure. For this purpose, a scale O is provided on the housing 10, which corresponds to an index provided on the plate 2. Then the nuts 9a '.
9b ', <I> 9c' </I> are tightened again, and the part of the shaft 8 of the rolling head protruding beyond the flange 8a is clamped, for example, on the support of a lathe. When the roller head is then brought to run up on the chuck of the lathe spindle being clamped, rotating work pieces, the inclined grooves in the aforementioned manner of the slightly turning rollers 3a, 3b, 3e roll a continuous Ge thread into the workpiece by the concentric grooved webs of each roller penetrate one after the other into the thread of the work piece and thus screw the rollers 3a, 3b, 3c onto the rotating workpiece with axial displacement of the workpiece relative to the roller head.
As soon as this screwing-on movement of the roller head is opposed to a resistance. by the work piece on a stationary with the coupling half 8, 8a. Stop, the clans become 10a. the coupling half 10, 2,
1 from the area of the claws 8b of the other coupling halves 8a, 8 clamped to the support, against the axial action of the spring 11, in the direction of the arrow drawn in FIG. 3, and the parts 10, 2 forming the movable coupling half , 1 opposite the other coupling half 8a, 8 under the effect of the spiral force. the spring 11 is twisted.
As a result, the rolling rollers 3u, 3b, 3c move apart in that their gears 6a, 6b, 6c roll on the stationary gear 7 and the eccentrics 5a ', 5b', 5c 'are rotated.
The mutual rotation of the two coupling halves must be limited so that the rolling rollers 3a, 3b, 3c can be rotated back to their starting position with certainty. The claws 10a and 8b are therefore provided in steps, so that when the clutch is released and the housing 10 is rotated in the direction 10 '(see Figure 3), the flank 10a' of the claw 10a strikes the stationary step flank 8b 'of the claw 8b and so the rotary movement of the coupling half 10, 2, 1 is limited.
The clutch is released in the illustrated embodiment by a stop 14 which is arranged in the form of an adjustable bolt at the clamping end of the shaft 8 and protrudes into the cavity of the shaft and initiates the release when the workpiece hits the bolt. If threads of great lengths are to be cut, the end wall of the shaft with the stop bolt 14 is missing, so that the rolled workpiece can emerge from the shaft 8. In this case, it is expediently triggered by an adjustable stop on the support.
Instead of the single spring 11 acting both in the circumferential direction and in the axial direction, two springs can also be provided, one of which exerts the axial spring force as a helical spring. Instead of the claws 8b, 10a, other coupling organs, for example stops or the like, can also be provided. It is important that the shaft 8 is connected to the gear 7 via a multi-spline profile, because it is advisable to limit the length of the standing slots 10b in order to be able to see the inside of the coupling, by repositioning the gear 7 on the shaft 8 able to increase the distance between the rollers 3a, 3b, 3e and thus the opening of the roller head if necessary.
The roller head described is primarily intended for clamping in a support of a lathe, drilling machine or the like machine tool, so the workpiece rotates. But you can also proceed in such a way that you fix the workpiece and let the head rotate. The only difference is that each time after the clutch has been released, the roller head must be stopped in order to return it to its clutch position.
In order to avoid this, the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 7 provides that the coupling half, to which the rolling rollers are assigned, has a shaft that is intended to be circulated for the rotation of the rolling head when working a control member for engaging the hitch ment, secured against rotation, is axially displaceable ver.
According to Fig. 5 to 7, three rolling rollers 3a ', 3b', 3c 'are again between two bearing plates 1' and 2 'mounted loosely rotatably about eccentrically ge superimposed shafts 5'. In this case, the latter cannot be rotated by means of gears, but by means of cranks 6a ', 6b', 6c 'in such a way that the rolling rollers 3a', 3b ', 3c' are set radially to the thread diameter to be rolled and not. drawn workpiece machined by you can be adjusted away.
For this purpose, the crank pins of the cranks 6a ', 6b', 6c 'with stones 7' in seat braids 15a. a disk 15 guided by means of screws 16 with. of the disk 10 'and is rotatably mounted together with this on the hollow shaft 8' seated on the disk 2. The screw bolts 16 are in elongated holes 16u. (see Fig. 7) of the disc 10 'out so that the discs 15 and 10' can be adjusted against each other after loosening the screws 16.
In the housing formed by the disks 15 and 10 '. the spiral spring 11 'housed, which is attached with its one end to the disc 15 and with its other end on the shaft 8'.
On the shaft. 8 'a control member 17 protruding into the pipe extension 10b of the Seheibe 10' is arranged axially displaceably and secured against rotation, which by means of three rollers 17a in slots <B> 10e, </B> (see FIG. 6) of the pipe extension 10b, with a longitudinal edge of the slots running obliquely to the axis of the roller head. In the control organ 17, a coupling member 18 is slidable ver, which is under the action of springs 19 which are guided around in the organs 17 and 18 guide pins 20 around net angeord.
These springs 19 strive to hold the coupling member 18 with its claws 18a in corresponding recesses in the disc 10 'and are tensioned when the control member 17 is held against displacement on the shaft 8', the coupling member 18 along the bolt 20 disengaged with the disk 10 'is displaced. The coupling member 18 is seen ver with pins 21, which lead into slots 8a of the shaft 8 'and engage in slots 22a of a sleeve 22 which is displaceable in the shaft 8' against a spring 23 and inside an adjustable and lockable Has stop bolt 24.
The mode of operation of this roller head, which may be clamped with its shaft 8 ', for example in the chuck of a lathe spindle, is as follows: As in the example according to FIGS. 1 to 4, the screws 16 are first loosened and the washer 15 against set above the disc 10 'by means of a scale and an index (see Fig. 6). After the bolts 16 have been tightened, the roller head is ready for operation. In the coupled state of the two parts 18, 10 ', 15 shown, the rollers 3a', 3b ', 3c' of the rotating head roll onto the held work piece and thereby generate the thread in its upper surface.
If the workpiece hits the bolt 24 previously set according to the desired thread length, the sleeve 22 is shifted to the right against the spring 23 in the sense of FIG. 5, the pins 21 sliding in the slots 8a of the shaft 8 'and the claws 18a of the coupling organ 18 against the action of the springs 19 from the disc 10 'are freigekuppelt. As a result, the tensioned coil spring 11 'located in the housing 10', 15 is released so that the housing 10 ', 15 is rotated around this against the rotational movement of the shaft 8', with the incline of the inclined surface coming into effect Edge of the slots 10c in the approach 10b, the control organ 17 in the sense of FIG. 6 is pushed ver to the right.
The rotary movement of the housing 10 ', 15 entrains the stones 7 of the cranks 6a', 6b ', 6c' in the slots 15a of the disc 15 and rotates the cranks and the eccentric shafts of the rollers 3a ', 3b', 3c 'in such a way that that the rollers are moved radially away from the workpiece. After the workpiece has been released, it can be pulled out of the head by hand, or it is automatically ejected from the head by the stop 24 returning to its drawn position under the influence of the spring 23, without the rotating shaft 8 'having to be stopped .
Instead of the described automatic switch-off, if necessary, it can also be switched off by hand at any time by means of a hand lever (not shown) engaging in the annular groove 17b of the control organ 17, the control member 17 together with the coupling member 18 in the sense of FIGS. 5 and 6 is shifted to the right, for which purpose the pins 20 are provided with an entrainment member at their left ends (see FIG. 5).
This triggers the same movement processes. as with the described uncoupling by pushing the workpiece against the bolt 2-1. The slots 22a. in the sleeve 22 enable this adjustment without the sleeve 22 being taken with it.
In this case, too, the rotating roller head does not need to be stopped. In any case, the rolling process is switched off instantaneously by the action of the spring 11 ', so that visual inspection turns of the same length are reliably achieved on the workpiece.
If a new Werkst.üek is to be provided with a thread, the control element 17 is again shifted to the left by means of the hand lever in the sense of FIGS. 5 and 6, with its rollers 17u, the inclined edges of the slots 10c along against the housing 10 ', 15 so that the disc 10', 10b and thus the disc 15 are rotated back so far that the claws 18a fall into the corresponding recesses of the disc 10 'under the action of the springs 19. The spring 11 'is tensioned again and the rollers 3u', 3b '; 3e 'are moved back into the operating position.
In order to avoid the coupling stroke of the control element 17 caused by the interaction of the inclined edge of the slots 10e with the rollers 17a and to keep the stroke as small as possible, in order to avoid the coupling stroke of the control element 17, which is necessary for re-engaging the disengaged clutch, especially for the production of very short threads, .8 a friction clutch is provided in addition to the claw clutch. The housing surrounding the spiral spring 11 "is represented by 15 ', 10". One end of the spring 11 "is in turn on the disk 15' and with its other end on the shaft 8 "attached.
In this, the sleeve 22 'with the stop bolt 24' is slidably mounted, which is connected via pin 21 'to the control element 17' which, at the same time, serve as a coupling element assigned to the rolling rollers, with coupling claws on the housing 10 " , 15 'having cooperating coupling claws 18a'. Ne pins 21 'are guided in axial slots 8a' of the shaft S ". The control and Kupp treatment organ 17 'is ge in a retaining ring 25, which is provided with recesses for fastening gene of handles and with a brake pad 26 on a braking surface of the housing see 10 "can be brought into effect.
If at the end of the thread rolling process the workpiece abuts against the abutment 24 ', the coupling claws 18a' are brought to disengage from the disc 10 "by the sleeve 22 'in the shaft 8" and over the pins 21 '(read the control and coupling element 17' in the brake ring 25, 26 held against axial displacement to the right in the sense of FIG. 7. This frees the spring 11 "and initiates the described control of the rolling rollers brought back who should be, the brake ring 25, 26 is pressed against the rotating disc 10 "by means of a handle attached to the ring 25 and braked it, so that the speed of the disc 10" compared to that of the shaft 8 "experiences a delay.
Since the same movement processes are initiated as they were described when applying the Füh tion of the pin 17a in the slots 10c in FIG.
A similar embodiment is shown in Figs. Instead of the shaft 8 'or 8 ", a flange body 8"' is provided with which the rolling head can be connected to a lathe, and its hub part to form the one coupling half with the bearing plate 2 "for the three rolling rollers 3a ", 3b", 3c "- is connected and carries the control and coupling element. In addition, this version differs from the last two in that when the coil spring 11 "'is released, the housing 15", 10 "' of the coupling half on the other side is rotated in the sense of the rolling rotation movement given to the rolling head by the lathe.
On the axes of the rolling rollers 3a ", 3b", 3c ", which are eccentrically mounted as in Fig.1 to 4 (see Fig.10), sit instead of the cranks tooth segments 6a", 6b ", 6c", which with Correspondingly internally toothed rim parts of a housing ring 15 "mesh. If, when the spring 11" 'is released, the disc body 10 "' mounted on the hub part of the body 8" 'and connected to the spring and the spring-connected disc body 10 "' and the clip - pelte ring 15 "rotates in the direction of the arrow. Whoever mutturned the toothed segments 6a", 6b ", 6c" in the same direction of rotation, find the rollers 3a ", 3b",
<B> 3e "</B> as a result of their eccentric mounting moved apart.
Otherwise is. the mode of operation the same as it was written in the embodiment according to FIG. 8 be. The ring 15 "is on the bearing plate \?" stored by means of balls: After the training and manner of We have described some examples of the fiction, according to the thread rolling head, in the following, the roll zen of the thread will be discussed in detail. In Fig.ll the three rolling rollers 3a, 3b, 3c of the described rolling heads are shown one below the other. They are arranged in relation to one another in such a way that the roller combs formed on their circumference between the grooves are offset from one another by one of the number of rollers corresponding to the fraction of the pitch of the thread to be rolled.
In the presence of three rolling rollers 3u, 3b, 3c, they are so arranged offset to one another that their rolling combs are offset from one another by a third of the pitch, that is, by the amount y from roll to roll. Since the rollers (see Figure 3) form an angle W with the workpiece and therefore their combs only penetrate fully into the workpiece in the middle of the rollers, the combs located in the center are overloaded and in the known roller heads with thread rolling rollers arranged in this way worn out prematurely.
In order for the combs to penetrate evenly deep into the workpiece over the entire length of the rollers, the rollers connecting the combs to the surface lines M ', M ", M"' of the inclination of the roller axis in the planes containing the roller axis run gene of the workpiece and its diameter accordingly concave in the middle part.
As can be seen from FIG. 11, the roller combs 3a1, 3b1, 3c1 located at the end faces of the roller bodies are of different heights. The dashed outline of the rollers 3a or 3b or 3c represents the outline of the roller blank, which is the same for all rollers and which is beveled at both ends at the angle r. The size of this angle depends on the quality or hardness of the workpiece and is smaller, the harder the material is into which the thread is to be cut. As a result of the offset y of the roller combs, different heights z1, z2, z3 of the frontal combs k1, 3b1, 3c1 result for the rollers 3a, 3b, 3c.
If the roller length is the same, the result is combs of the same height at both ends and combs of different heights for rollers 3b and 3c, the left end of roller 3b being the right end of roller 3c and the right end of roller 3b being the left end of the roller 3c corresponds. So when the combs on the left end face of the three rollers are worn, roller 3a can be put on its pivot 5a (see FIG. 1), roller 3b on pivot 5c and roller 3c on pivot 5b, so as to also to use the other ends of the rollers for rolling.
In addition, due to the different heights of the roller combs 3u1, 3b1, 3c1, the rolling of the thread takes place in stages, which can be seen in FIG represents the roller 3c. x is again the inlet angle. The smaller this angle, the more steps are required until the full thread depth is rolled.
