Description
Method for processing a raw veneer. The invention relates to a method for processing a raw veneer with a maximum thickness of 0.20 mm. The process is characterized in that a transparent binder is applied to one side of the raw fur nier and with it under heat. it is pressed so that the binding agent penetrates into the raw tournament and bonds with the same.
Implementation examples of the method according to the invention are explained below.
It .erden raw veneers with a thickness of about 0.02 mm to a maximum of 0.20 mm. A foil or a film of cellulose about 0.04 mm thick is applied to one side of this kidney. This transparent binding agent is pressed together with your raw veneer under heat, where the binding agent can at least partially penetrate into the raw veneer or soak it completely and then bond with it.
The cellulose film can also be applied to both sides of the raw veneer and then the whole thing can be pressed together with flitz. In two ways, the raw veneer and the binding agent can be pressed together with a carrier of the wood foil which, for. B. consists of paper or textile fabric. The wood foil can also be used during processing or when pressing the raw veneer with the binder and optionally also with a carrier in one operation on a base such as, for.
B. plywood, fiberboard, metal, cardboard, paper or textile fabric, can be pressed, the connection with the base can also be made with a cellulose film or with normal gluing.
Several raw veneers can be joined together with cellulose foils in one operation to form plywood panels.
Since the binder not only has good adhesive strength, but is also clear, results in. After pressing, the wood veneer also has a clear, transparent surface. This can be matt or have a high gloss, depending on whether the corresponding press plate should appear polished or roughened or patterned.
The wood foil pressed with the cellulose film is with and without a carrier. flexible and resistant to external influences, especially heat up to over 100, as well as moisture. It is practically possible to deliver the processed wood foil within an hour of leaving the veneering machine. The pressing of the raw veneer and its connection with a pad can be done in one operation, which makes the use of such films more economical than before.
