Liquid container with a closure lid that can be tightened with a quick release.
The subject matter of the present invention is a fluid container with a closure lid that can be tightened by means of a quick release fastener, in particular a full odeur gasoline canister.
According to the invention, the liquid container is characterized in that a device for removing the contents of the container is also provided, which can be placed on the neck of the container opening in place of the closure lid using a part of the elements serving as a tendon closure, without a change must be made to the container itself.
An example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, which shows:
1 shows an oil canister with the attached device for removing the contents in a side view,
2 shows the device for removing the liquid content in an axial longitudinal section.
The oil canister 1 shown in FIG. 1 has a neck 2 at the container opening, onto which a closure lid 3 can be clamped. The closure lid 3 is hingedly attached to an arm 4 engaging the neck 2 in such a way that it can be opened into the position shown in order to open the container. A fork-shaped actuating lever 5 is articulated with the two fork prongs on the cover 3 and has two fingers 6 which run parallel to one another and are arranged in such a way that they can reach past the neck laterally when the closure cover is placed on the neck 2. The fingers 6 are curved about a center which is eccentric to the pivot axis of the actuating lever 5, so that the distance of the fingers from the pivot axis of the lever towards the free end of the fingers increases little.
On two opposite outer sides of the neck 2, brackets 7 are rigidly attached, in which the fingers 6 can individually engage when the cover is placed on the neck when the actuating lever 5 is pivoted in the corresponding direction, clockwise in FIG. During this pivoting, the closure cover is pressed more and more tightly onto the neck 2 under the interacting influence of the fingers 6 and the upper limb of the bracket 7, while the fingers 6 come out of engagement with the bracket 7 through a reversed pivoting of the actuating lever, whereupon the closure cover can be folded up into the position shown.
The device for removing the liquid from the container I has a hollow cylindrical body 8 which is open at one end and is provided with an edge 9 which can be placed on the end face of the neck 2 and which grips the neck at least on the outside.
The other end of the hollow cylinder 8 is closed and penetrated by a longer suction pipe 10 and a short ventilation pipe 11, the outer walls of these pipes at the throat joint in gas and liquid-tight connection with the relevant end face of the hollow cylindrical body 8 stand. The tubes can, alternatively, be welded or soldered into the body 8. The end of the ventilation pipe 11 protruding from the body 8 is bent over by 180, while the other end of this pipe ends a little away from the upper end face of the cylinder.
The suction tube 1 is straight and protrudes with one end a piece far from the body 8, while the other end goes deep into the container I when the Vorriehtung is placed on its opening. This end is connected to a flexible hose 12, the free end of which is located on the bottom of the container when the device is in place.
A pivotable operating lever 5a is attached to the body 8. which is shaped exactly the same as the lever 5 on the closure cap 3 and also has two fingers 6a which, like the fingers 6, can engage in the bracket 7 on the neck 2 in order to be able to clamp the device according to FIG. 1 on the neck of the container . For spatial reasons, the conditions are such that the fingers 6 of the actuating lever 5 hinged to the cover in FIG. 1 can engage in the bracket 7 from the right and the fingers 6a of the lever 5a hinged to the device from the left.
To empty the container, a hose connected to a suction pump is connected to the end of the riser pipe 10 protruding from the body 8. The liquid is sucked up through the action of the pump, while air can flow from the environment into the container through the ventilation pipe 11.
With the help of the device it is possible. Empty the container all at once or gradually, without the liquid leaking out and contaminating the surroundings.
The escape of unpleasant smells is also largely avoided by the described design of the device. The device can be put on and taken off in a very short time by means of the quick-release fastener described, whereby no changes have to be made to the user himself.
The container described with the device for removing its contents can mainly be used with advantage in smaller, oil-operated heating systems, if no large oil reservoirs can be set up in remote and inaccessible areas or for reasons of economy. The oil can be fed directly to the burner or first into an intermediate reservoir by the pump mentioned.
