<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 272569. Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Stilbenfarbatoffes. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen Stilbenfarbstoffes, welches dadurch gekenn zeichnet ist, dass man 4,4'-Dinitrostilben-2,2'- disulfonsäure mit einem Gemisch von 4-Me- thylamino - 2 -methoxy-2'-oxy-1,1'-azobenzol-5'- sulfonsäure und 4-Amino-1,
1'-azobenzol-4'- sulfonsäure kondensiert und das erhaltene Kondensationsprodukt mit kupferabgebenden Mitteln in den Kupferlack überführt.
Der neue Farbstoff stellt getrocknet ein dunkles Pulver dar, das sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit violetter Farbe löst. Er färbt Baumwolle in lichtechten gelbbraunen Tönen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 17 Teile des Azofarbstoffes; hergestellt durch Kuppeln von diazotierter 2-Amino-l- oxybenzol-4-sulfonsäure auf 1-Methylamino-3- methoxybenzol in kongosaurer Lösung und 1.4 Teile 4-Amino-1,1'-azobenzol-4'-sulfonsäure werden mit 47,4 Teilen dinitrostilbendisulfon- saurem Natrium in 600 Teilen Natronlauge von 6 i0 bei Siedetemperatur während zehn Stunden kondensiert.
Die Natronlauge wird dann mit Salzsäure abgestumpft, der Farb stoff ausgesalzen und abfiltriert.
Der Filterkuchen wird bei 80 bis 90e in <B>1000</B> Teilen Wasser gelöst und mit einer am- moniakalischen Kupfersulfatlösung versetzt, die aus 25 Teilen kristallisiertem Kupfersul fat,<B>100</B> Teilen Wasser und 80 Teilen 25 o/oigem Ammoniak hergestellt wurde. Da bei fällt zuerst das schwer lösliche Kupfer salz des Farbstoffes aus.
Durch mehrstündi ges Erhitzen auf 80 bis 90e bildet sich unter Abspaltung von Methylamin der leicht lösliche Kupferlack, der dann ausgesalzen und abfil- tr iert wird.
