Description
Utensil for pitting cherries. The present invention relates to a utensil for pitting cherries.
The drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the utensil for pitting cherries according to the invention.
In the embodiment shown, 1 and 2 denote the two branches of the utensil which is in the shape of a V and constituted by a thread of a material having sufficient elasticity, such as 'a metal; at the top of the V, the wire constituting the utensil is bent on itself in the form of a coil spring with a single turn 3.
The branch 1 is straight up to the vicinity of its end where it presents an annular part 4 on which the cherry to be pitted is placed. The other branch of V, 2, is folded back on itself, so as to form a U-shaped part, 6, 6 ', intended to receive the other branch 1, and to serve it guide. One of the branches of this U part is extended by another curved part 7 terminated by a straight part 8 directed towards the center of the annular part 4.
To use this utensil to be attached, it is gripped in the hand like a large sugar tongs; we place the cherry to be seeded on the annular part 4 and we tighten the branches 1 and 2 against each other. Due to the presence of the guide 6, 6 ', the end 9 of part 8 moves without deviating laterally on the fruit, the stone of which it pushes in front of it through the ring 4.
The part in U 6, 6 'could also be formed by the branch 1, so as to serve as a guide for the branch 2. The constituent element of the utensil for pitting could also have the form a blade of rectangular or oval straight section. Part 3 could also be simply curved in a V, like, in a standard sugar tongs.
