Device for fixing a brush handle. The object of the present invention is a device for fixing a handle to a brush. It is characterized in that it is constituted by a conical sleeve provided with conical threads, outside and inside, the angle at the top of the cone formed by the sleeve being approximately equal to 10.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the device forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof and FIG. 2 a plan view.
The embodiment shown is constituted by a conical bush 1, the angle of which at the apex of the cone a is approximately equal to 10. This sleeve is provided with two threads, also conical, an external thread 2 and an internal thread $; these threads - do not reign over the entire length of the sleeve, but each over only a part of it, the external thread being disposed towards the end of the smallest diameter of the sleeve, the internal thread being on the other end; their lengths are such that they do not encroach on one another, so as to allow a fairly thin socket of the king, but nevertheless solid. The shape of the threads is that of ordinary wood screw threads.
The outer thread is intended to secure the socket in the base of the brush, while the inner thread receives the brush handle.
The open end of the socket has a reinforcement 4 provided with lugs 5, so that the socket can be easily grasped with a tool to screw it into the base of the brush. These lugs could be replaced by notches or flats.
In addition, the closed end of the socket is fitted at its center with a wood screw 6 whose thread has the same pitch as the external thread 2 - and which allows the socket to be rigidly fixed in the base of the brush. by preventing a possible tossing of the sleeve in the net.
The planned arrangements and the particular taper given to the sleeve guarantee perfect fit-in-fit.
