Abstract

APPARATUS FOR MOUNTING HOOKS
The present invention relates to an apparatus for mounting hooks.

 There are already many devices for mounting a hook at the end of a wire. However, all of them have major drawbacks due to their complexity, their cost, their difficulty of use or their inability to make an ideal knot, that is to say in the exact extension of the hook of the hook and, what , without initiation of breakage or weakening of the fishing line.

 The object of the invention is precisely to propose a simple and rapid means allowing the realization of ideal knots even with the smallest hooks on the finest wires.

 To this end, the invention relates to an apparatus intended to mount the hooks at the end of a fishing line, characterized in that it consists of a frustoconical part whose end of smaller diameter is pierced with a blind hole coaxial with the piece and of sufficient diameter to partially receive the shaft of any hook, the surface of said piece being preferably polished.

 Such a device makes it possible to form around the frustoconical piece an ideal knot, by hand, in the usual manner, then to slide this knot on the part of the hook of the hook out of the hole, after insertion of said shaft in the latter before transferring the knot and preferably after the knot has been formed on the part to avoid hooking the hook or pricking itself.

 The device shown in FIG. 1 is a simple frustoconical part of revolution 1 made of any material, metal, varnished wood, plastic material, etc., the surface of which is preferably smooth in order to facilitate the sliding of the knot which will be formed there.

 One of the ends of the part 1 and more particularly the end of smaller diameter, is axially pierced with a blind hole 2, the other end of the part being rounded.

 The diameter and depth of the hole 2 are determined so as to allow the partial reception of the shank of most of the usual hooks, from the largest to the smallest.
